The Space:
Sitting within the scenic grounds of the luxurious Cameron House, South Lodge is a uniquely charming property that offers a plethora of activities right at your doorstep. With its expansive open-plan lounge and kitchen featuring a sizable island, guests can enjoy moments of connection and relaxation. The lodge boasts a log-burning fire, hot tub, fire pit, play park, and even a cellar complete with a bar. Accommodating up to eight guests, the lodge has four beautifully appointed bedrooms, all featuring hotel-quality linens, robes, and towels, providing the ultimate comfort for every stay.

Step inside this remarkable 1882 construction, formerly a private residence, and experience the perfect blend of historical charm and modern amenities. While the original features of South Lodge have been lovingly maintained, every modern convenience has also been integrated to ensure an unforgettable stay.

Each of the four bedrooms at South Lodge is thoughtfully designed to offer flexibility, having the option to be configured as twin or double rooms. Each room is equipped with free-view Smart TVs and has Wi-Fi coverage, ensuring that all amenities cater to guest preferences. With plush, hotel-quality bedding and soft robes, restful nights are guaranteed. Based on guest needs, two pull-out single beds can also be added to two of the bedrooms, perfect for larger families or groups traveling together.

Guest Access:
We have three private parking spaces at the back of the house.

The loch is only a few minutes walk away! Loch Lomond Shore, The Boat House and The Cameron House Hotel are all within walking distance. Our house manual which we send to all of our guests contains our recommendations on where to eat and activities to try. The centre of Balloch is also within walking distance. Here you will find the largest supermarket in the vicinity, bars, a post office and much more.

If you want to travel in style we can get discounted rates on boats on the loch, the best way to explore the islands and other areas such as Ben Lomond.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to explore Loch Lomond and the National Park or to have an unforgettable group get together South Lodge is perfectly located and has everything that you will need to make the experience legendary.

Loch Lomond Shores is an eight-minute walk away. Here you will find shops, cafes and the Sealife Aquarium.

La Vista, which is owned by Cameron House, overlooks the loch and the marina. It is a thirteen-minute walk away. Cameron House Hotel is a further 10-minute walk.

Only a 14 min walk from Balloch train station or a 25 min drive from Glasgow Airport this truly is the Highlands on your doorstep.

Other Things to Note:
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay
