Villa La Rassinata is located in the locality of the same name, Santa Maria alla Rassinata, at 730 m above sea level. This splendid residence, dating back to the mid-sixteenth century, has been expertly restored and reflects the charm of modern and old exquisitely blended. It stands on a knoll among the Arezzo hills with a view over a green and relaxing panorama. On each floor the common areas are furnished with objects of modern taste, carefully combined with antique pieces; the living room exhibits a retro-style charm, while the bedrooms travel back through time: the beds are high because in the past ash would be put underneath to keep them warm. All six bedrooms have air conditioning. The outdoor spaces have been realised with low stone walls and the gardens are well-maintained and adorned with hydrangeas, antique roses and aromatic plants. Above the panoramic swimming pool is a terrace with a ping pong table and a small wooden pool house with a minibar where you can leave drinks and snacks to keep cool. This property is the perfect destination for a large family wishing to spend a relaxing stay in a regenerating setting immersed in tranquility. It is the ideal place for long walks and bike rides on the marked paths to admire the splendid surrounding hilly landscapes. The villa is in the town of Santa Maria alla Rassinata, 15 km from Palazzo del Pero (about 18 minutes away), the first town for your daily needs and 9 km from Volterrano, with only for the most basic shops (about 15 minutes away). The caretakers live in the annex adjacent to the villa, with completely independent access, and will not interfere with the use of the park and swimming pool but will remain at the complete disposal of guests.
Interior:
The villa has three floors connected by an internal staircase. The entrance on the ground floor opens onto the TV room and an open-plan living area delimited by a glass door, a guest bathroom and the internal staircase. The living area is composed of a kitchen, a sitting room with working fireplace and a dining room with access to the pergola. A flight of stairs leads up to the first floor consisting of a room with kitchenette, a sitting room for enjoying a cup of tea and, along a corridor, two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. A further flight of stairs leads up to the second floor with a kitchenette, a double bedroom with private bathroom with shower and a corridor which leads to two double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower. Only the fireplace on the ground floor is functional, while all the others are ornamental. The laundry room is located on the ground floor with independent access. Air conditioning in the bedrooms.
Park:
Villa La Rassinata is immersed in the countryside among the woods at 730 m above sea level. The villa is the only renovated building in the small, ancient stone borgo with a little church (accessible on request). The large garden belonging to the house is immersed in approximately six hectares of land that make up the entire property. During the summer, the various plants bordering the driveway render it fragrant and colourful thanks to all the antique roses, hydrangeas and aromatic plants. The driveway, unpaved and well maintained, leads to the entrance of the villa with space in front for two cars while another three can park in the dedicated area. The outdoor dining area with gas barbecue is located at the back of the villa, shaded by tall trees and by a pergola with iron structure. Completing the outdoors are two tables and a rocking chair where guests can relax in the cool. The park is completed by the pool area surrounded by green lawn.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is located 150 metres from the villa on terracing in a panoramic position. It is reached along a path, down 7 stone steps and then on to the pool area arranged on two levels. On the upper-level terrace is a wooden pool house with minibar, a table and bench and, outside, a ping-pong table and two tables with chairs under the shade of trees. Located on the lower-level terrace is the partially-fenced pool, measuring 9 x 5 m with a constant depth of 1.40 m, and lined in PVC with salt-based purification, internal lighting and a metal ladder for access to the water. The pool can be heated on request with a heat pump and a solar shower is available. The sunbathing area is entirely paved in stone and equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. The path to the pool area is illuminated. The swimming pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
