Custom built 3 bedroom home set upon 11 acres over looking an acre plus fishing pond. Chef style kitchen. 3 king beds. Internet and Direct tv. Fire pit and bbq. Located an easy 7 miles to Uptown Athens, 5 miles to state street. Close to Dow lake and bike path. 15 minutes to hocking port boat ramp.

Great place to make family memories
A very well stocked kitchen for holiday baking with family! A very gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed. Even left a baking dish for us in the drain rack! Will definitely be back!

Friends weekend
We had a great time with friends visiting OU and watching the football game. The house is large, and has brand new with nice fixtures / trim. The host was quick to respond and easy to work with. It was our second time there, and I would definitely stay again in the future.

Absolutely Incredible Stay!
We needed a place to stay near the university not in the thick of things. This home was perfection! A reasonable drive (about 15 minutes) to where we needed to go at O.U. The space itself is extremely well thought out. From the outside the home looks mid/small, but the way everything was set up made maximal use of an interior that is actually huge! The main living room/kitchen area is very nicely decorated and has extra thoughtful touches EVERYWHERE. Extra blankets for the couches, coasters if you are going to put drinks anywhere, furniture that seems like it would be stain proof if there was a spill, etc... The kitchen has pretty much everything you need whether you want to cook inside, grill outside, or if ordering something for pick up. Everything you need to clean up after the meal is there too. Even if we forgot to bring something, the kitchen seemed to have many utensils and basics already stocked. Beds/rooms are all super comfortable, each with their own TV (and DirecTV). If you have extra folks with you, everyone can watch what they want. Bathrooms were both great, again with liquid hand soap, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and plenty of towels, ice laundry bins to drop used towels in at the end of your stay. I'm a Virtual Reality nerd, and one of my favorite things is to explore virtual homes in VRChat. This home felt like it was that brought to life: PERFECT!!! Thanks to the Bush family for the wonderful space!

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for 3 couples with the rooms having 3 king size beds. That you don't find often. There was plenty of room to park the trucks and trailers that we hauled the Harleys in. Very quiet and peaceful location. Pictures lead me to believe this home was much smaller than it actually is. We would recommend and would defiantly book again.

A gem in Athens
Perfect place to stay when visiting Ohio University or Hocking Hills. Open floorplan boasts three large bedrooms. Main bedroom with en suite huge bathroom with access to hot tub. Cornhole and covered porch offers great conversation areas. Will definitely recommend to those heading down to visit kids at OU. 10 minutes from campus.

Unique country home
We very much enjoyed our 3 day stay in this beautiful home while visiting our grandson at Ohio University. There was plenty of space for 3 adult couples, nice porch overlooking a pond, safe walking trails, an inviting hot tub, and much more. Our Vrbo host George was very accommodating throughout our stay.

Father's Day Memories
What a great place to create family memories. We were in town for a family enduro and to look at OU. This house met all of our needs and more. We enjoyed hours of fishing, late night hot tubbing, grilling, friendly games of cornhole/basketball, and watching the deer frolic in the field. George was great at communication before and during our stay. As a mom, the cleanliness was superb, and all the kitchen supplies were provided to make a nice family meal. We will be back!

Great Athens Retreat!
In Athens for a swim meet and this was close to campus but felt like a mini vacation. Owner was great and helpful. Kitchen is huge and we cooked a lot. Had all the bells and whistles.

Wonderful stay
My husband and I stayed at the property for the weekend with our 4 children. We were in the area to visit OU. The location was perfect. We could be on the campus in under 15 minutes. But we really enjoyed the quietness of the house and our kids especially loved the hot tub. The place is beautiful, clean and the best stocked VRBO rental we have ever stayed at. The owner got back to us very quickly when we had questions and was friendly and accommodating. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

First time to Ohio.
We stayed for a week. Had a great time. We came up to stay so we could watch our oldest son play baseball for the southern Ohio copperheads in the summer collegiate league. The owner of the property is very nice and even saw him at one of the games. He lives just up the road from the rental so if you need him he is only a minute or two away. Everything was just like it was supposed to be with the house. My youngest son fished about everyday in the pond. If we make it back to that part of Ohio we will definitely rent this house again.

Quiet getaway
We came with three couples,the set up works well master with bath and to equal bedrooms with bath between. It has nice open living area. We saw deer and rabbits everyday. It’s a winding road to get there and the final turns are easy to miss but we had down pretty quickly. The owner are easy going and respond quickly. We had no issues
