Just read the reviews for this beautiful five bedroom, five and one-half baths with expansive sound views. Our goal is to make this vacation one to remember and the reviews reflect it!
The 4th floor has a bonus room as well as king bedroom and bath. The views are incredible! The 3rd floor has 3 bedrooms (king, queen, twin) and 3 baths and some have views of the sound. The 2nd floor has a living room, dining room and kitchen with counter seating. There is a porch and deck off this space for bird watching and looking at spectacular sunsets! The king bedroom offers sounds views and a large bath. There is a half bath on this floor. The first floor has a two car garage with a Nema 14-50 for charging electric vehicles. There is also an elevator.
There are many reasons you may be content to stay inside but you also have great options to get outside and enjoy everything Cottages at Bay Ridge in Atlantic Beach has to offer. The boardwalk (approximately one-third mile and right next to our home) which leads to a covered gazebo on our private island on the sound. Fishing, crabbing, paddle boarding, or picnicking are all possibilities while enjoying the outdoor beauty. You are in walking distance to shopping, pool, restaurants, bars and grocery store. We are accommodating and try to respond quickly if you have any questions.

Fabulous home
Our family spent the Christmas week in this beautiful home. It had everything we could need and more. Very spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. While the cold weather prevented us from truly enjoying the lovely porch, we hope to return when we can bask in the beauty of the sound side views as we drink our morning coffee. Definitely a great vacation home!

Over all great place
Kitchen was good, I was able to cook a complete thanksgiving dinner (I did bring a roaster). I missed a few things but I would certainly call the kitchen well equipped. We had a lot of trouble regulating the temperature in the house but that was the only problem we had. There was plenty of common space and bedrooms. The elevator was great, there are a lot of steep stairs. The sound is beautiful and there is a lot to do in Atlantic Beach.

Wonderful home in an ideal location
Our group included a number of elderly folks (5 of our 8 were 65 and above). The elevator was wonderful for getting our luggage and groceries up from the garage AND it was appreciated for the ones over 80 that had trouble taking the stairs. HUGE amenity to have in the house! We LOVED the location and how convenient it was for shopping AND walking to the water on sound side. And it close to get across to ocean side of the island as well. Great communication and tips from the host before our stay, as well as being available when a couple things came up during our stay. We will stay here again if we have opportunity!

Beautiful Sound Views and Access to Shopping
Our family met at this GORGEOUS home for our Summer vacation from VA and NC. The whole well-appointed kitchen area, dining and open great room provided a great space for a large family. We also had a lot of fun on the screened in porch and walking the 1/3 mile to the sound side pavilion. The best feature was the elevator to get all the gear up to the kitchen and rooms, but it was especially helpful for my Dad who has trouble getting around. Our only issue was that we did not find a short cut to get to the beach. I'd suggest driving to the public beaches for sun and fun. Enjoy!

We had a group of 7 and slept comfortably and had enough space to spread out to have alone time as well. The elevator was convenient for heavy suitcases and bringing in groceries. This was an amazing home. The views of the marsh and Sound are beautiful . Our group of 8 adults had plenty of space and our own bathrooms! It is a light filled home with all the amenities you could want, and a quick walk way over to FoodLion. (Sidewalk) The owner Kaye was easy to reach and helpful in every way. We enjoyed the pool easy access, and a huge dining table for playing games. I hope we can stay again. I already miss the sunsets and the dock walk next to the house out to the small island shelter.

Wonderful Stay. Beautiful Home
Family of 8 with elderly parents and teens. The home was perfect. Everyone had their own space and the location was great. Kitchen had everything we needed and the sound side view was great. The boys loved taking a walk to the private island and fishing. Everything was clean and well appointed. We would definitely recommend this home and Kaye was very helpful! Just can’t say enough good things!

Great place to stay adjacent to the boardwalk
We were at this beautiful house the end of February and beginning of March. Loved the location. A boardwalk starts adjacent to the house and extends about a third of a mile through tidal marshes to a lovely shelter on the sound. I was out there a couple times a day. Peaceful, lots of birds, great place to sit and read or talk with friends. The beaches at Fort Macon Park are pristine and beautiful. I think the best in the area. Our crew are all biyclists. The walk/bike paths at Fort Macon are gorgeous. The fort itself and the visitors' center are interesting. There's a shopping center adjacent to the development. Beautiful Hoop Pole Park is accessed from the shopping center. Both are easy walking distance from the house. Hoop Pole was an unexpected delight, easy trails, beautiful views. The owner is very pleasant, easy to contact, very accomodating. I'd stay there again.

First I cannot say enough about Kaye - she is the sweetest. So easy to work with, very fast to reply and help coordinate special needs. This was a wedding weekend for my nephew in EI - Atlantic Beach was close enough with a variety of activities for all ages. The house is stunning - views are gorgeous. Screened porch was a fave spot. Everything was perfectly clean and we felt very much at home (only much nicer). Kaye thank you so much for all of your help answering questions and working closely with me. 100% recommended!

Long weekend getaway
The mark of fabulous rental is if you can still have a wonderful time indoors when the weather does not cooperate for beach time. Hurricane Ophelia kept us safely inside for two days, but we made wonderful dinners. baked, played board games all in absolute comfort. The view of the marsh from the screened in patio is stunning and so tranquil. Truly we have never had more miserable beach weather, but still had a fabulous time making memories. The owners have not overlooked any details in comfort, cleanliness, and a decor that is as lovely as any boutique hotel. I would describe this home and the local beach a hidden gem! Even off season this is a wonderful home for a winter getaway as it so beautifully decorated and all of the comforts of home have been carefully thought out.

Family Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. The place comes stocked with everything you need. We had a party of 7, and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The screened in porch got lots of use as well as the beautiful community pool. The elevator was an added bonus. Kaye was nice enough to leave a sheet with recommendations of things to do as well as local restaurants. We would definitely recommend this rental.

Super place for a reunion!
This was a wonderful property. Large enough that we all had some space. Enjoyed the screen porch and its wonderful view.. Kitchen was a great space for 8 people hanging out and chatting as meals were prepared. Would have liked 2 more chairs suitable for the dining table, as the house was advertised that it could hold 10, and we were eight. But we made due. Really appreciated that the property could handle 4 cars, and a tear-drop trailer. It just fit in the garage, out of the way for the 5 days. Atlantic Beach was a perfect spot for easily getting around.

Lovely place for a weekend getaway
We booked a fairly last minute weekend getaway for our two families, with 5 kids ranging from age 4 to 16. The place was in a great spot with walkway to a private island on the sound - great for fishing and exploring. The place was spotless and kitchen well appointed. Kay was wonderful and got in touch with us throughout our stay. Public beach access is about a half mile walk or an easy drive. Highly recommend this lovely home!!

We’ve stayed in several VRBO’s over the years. This, by far was the best place we’ve stayed at. Kaye is excellent with communication, making sure all was good. Everything we needed was within either walking distance or less than 5 miles away. Evidently there’s a store within walking distance that the young adults in our group would frequently visit. Let’s just say, we had an abundance of ice cream. A pool is just a few houses down. We took the room closest to the family room. I was concerned about hearing the noise of the tv coming in. I didn’t have to worry, there was very little noise, if any that I could hear. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware. Everyone in our group commented on how perfect the house was. Several remarks were made about coming back. Last, but not least… being able to watch the gorgeous sunsets from the back porch. Perfect!
