Decent Stay
The location was great on lake travis. However, the house was a bit dirty & communication with the host was a bit hard. Soon as we got to the house the restroom in the master bedroom flooded we waited an hour for the plumber. We weren’t able to get into the MIL suite in the back of the house until the plumber came to help unlock it. I do wish the MIL suite had a bit more privacy like blinds or curtains on the windows, it felt uneasy. Overall for the price we expected a bit more & felt a blind sided by it.

We stayed for two nights as a staycation with friends. The overall impression amongst the group was disappointing, and we felt that there were a lot of small details that added up to a negative experience. To start, the booking description indicates that an extra fee may apply for additional guests, and despite us having 7 (when the property is supposed to sleep 11), we were told there would be an extra person fee for every guest above 6 people. The next "paper cut" was the check-in info. The wifi information was inaccurate and we had to ask the host for clarification. The pool area was not clean (there was a trash bin full of cans from the previous guest), the pool itself was full of debris and the grill was filthy to the point that it was unusable. The yard was overgrown and did not look maintained. Moving to the inside of the property, several outlets were uncovered, vents not properly placed or missing entirely. The biggest discomfort overall though was that the AC was broken. Given it's 100+ degrees here in the summer, this is an absolute must for any property. The fact that this was not identified prior to our check-in speaks to a lack of management of the property. When we identified it to the property manager, we were told someone could come out the morning we were checking out, but to try and troubleshoot it ourselves. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with just the basics, is advise not to plan on cooking any elaborate meals here. Overall we are disappointed.

We needed a place to stay close to home while our floors were being done. This place had more than enough space for my brood, a nice pool and a nice park nearby. The hosts were very responsive and even accommodated one extra night. I would definitely recommend this house!

Friend Group Birthday Celebrations
We came to Austin to celebrate several friends who have birthdays in May. The property was great for a group. We grilled out, hung out by the pool, and enjoyed spending time together at the house in the evening when we weren't on the lake during the day. The multiple bedrooms gave a lot of privacy and having 3 bathrooms was really nice for a bigger group. Check-in was a breeze and the hosts were very responsive and attentive to any messages.

The Buzz about Hummingbird Hideaway
Great home for mixed generations to get together. Park and public access to Colorado River a short walk away. The owners have outfitted a game room with a mini-pool table, table top arcade games, and two boxes of board games for all ages. It was a little too cool for the pool for everyone but my 3-year old grandson. The inside of this house has been updated with a very modern look. Great bathrooms extremely comfortable beds. I especially enjoyed the privacy of In Law house for my wife and me. Perfect spot for early quiet times, before the rest of the crew got moving. We had a couple small issues but the owners were extremely responsive and got them resolved very quickly Fantastic place, lots of room to play inside and out. Highly recommend. .
