OUTSTANDING stay at Sugar Mountain
Brought nieces from Rio to learn to ski. They were on their college summer break and left 100 deg temps to see snow for the first time. There was a heavy snowfall the day before we arrived, but the road to the condo was scraped and easy for any AWD vehicle. The communication with the owner was thorough and prepared us for the trip. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Everyone in the condo management were friendly and helpful. The nieces learned to ski with the excellent Sugar Mtn Ski School and very much enjoyed coming back to the condo pool and jacuzzi. As seasoned travelers, this property exceeded all their aunt and uncle’s expectations. Our nieces may very well have a new and lifelong sport and it was this property that made it possible!

Best Host EVER
We (myself, husband, and 3 teens) stayed at Sugar Top and had Denise as our host. She was absolutely amazing. She communicated everything with us prior to our arrival and made sure we had no unexpected surprises waiting for us. The whole family had an amazing time and we will be contacting her again for our next mountain trip!!

Wonderful stay in the clouds
This is a great property! We had a winter stay and the location was a great choice. The property is truly on the top of a mountain- we didn’t have snow, but couldn’t have gotten there without 4WD if it had snowed. The property as whole (not just the unit) is a little outdated and getting our stuff into the building was challenging (lots of people and very chaotic). Once we made it to the unit, we had the most beautiful views and a perfectly clean unit. The unit is small, but more than adequate- it had all the space we needed for our family. The building has a great heated pool and is near the ski slopes. Getting up and down the mountain takes time, so we were glad that the unit had everything we needed, but we also brought lots of things with us (kitchen and bathroom staples). The hosts were communicative, respectful, and helpful when needed. It was a great experience and we would love to go back one day!

Amazing Christmas getaway
The condo has spectacular views and a cozy at home feeling. It is the closest room to the elevator on the 8th floor and it has a stelar view of the ski slopes at Sugar Mountain ski resort and the panoramic views of the NC mountains. The hosts are super friendly, extremely kind, and had excellent communications before the trip and checked in during just to make sure that we had everything we needed. From start to finish it was just an amazing experience. The living room was decorated for Christmas and it made our kids day. It was a 10 out of 10 experience and we will definitely be going back.

Yes to the rest!
This condo was quite nice located in the Sugar Top Mountain! On the 8th floor with an incredible, awe-inpsiring view!! Beds are VERY comfortable. Kitchen nice sized for those cooks out there! Comfy couch positioned to look out large windows overlooking the beautiful view! The host was extremely prompt to respond to questions and over the top ensuring all was well. The resort itself included the pool, workout room, suana and jacuzzis. All very, very nice. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

This property is as advertised. It has amazing views of the Blue Ridge mountains. It is very clean and the bed is comfortable. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants and activities. We enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful time in Banner Elk!
Our entire group (50's, 20's, and small children) all enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views, great hiking and sightseeing, small-town 4th of July parade and fireworks (from our balcony), and the pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. Great communication with the host provided an extra level of comfort and information. We will be back!

Memorial Day 2024
Great rental, incredible views, very clean, and the beds are so comfortable. We had a VERY relaxing weekend, (month of May) even without skiing! Location was excellent as Food Lion and restaurants were minutes away. We visited many parks in the short amount of time for picnicking, exercising, and listening to small waterfalls. Kitchen was fully equipped for all of our meals that we cooked. The washed/dryer was helpful. The balcony has the most amazing views wherever you turned. I can’t tell you how many times we witnessed a fascinating storm or a beautiful sunset. Just being able to sit on the balcony, taking in the fresh air will take away any stress that you may have had. The shuttle service was very reliable with friendly security, front desk, and shuttle drivers. You could tell that the employees enjoyed their job. The condo had so many amenities that allowed something for everyone in our party- indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, sauna, a lobby full of comfy couches and chairs to read from a small library that they offered with books and magazines. It was so helpful to have a small gift/snack shop on the property when I realized I forgot my razor. The host provided extra temporary toothbrushes when my son remembered he left his toothbrush at home. The host was very helpful with properly timed updates and quick response to text and other communications. I miss being there already. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Mountaintop Condo
My son and I stayed at Denise & Ed's condo for a weekend to do some hiking in the area. The condo is located on top of Sugar Mountain with a beautiful sunset view. The staff at the condo complex was very friendly. The condo was very clean and even had starter coffee, shampoos, soaps. The beds were very comfy. Denise was very communicative and ensured that we arrived safely and had a wonderful stay. What a great experience!
