Snowmobiling in the UP
This property worked wonderfully for our group to snowmobile. The central location to trails, access to lake and restaurants really worked well for us. The Bar area really was nice for our snowmobile gear. Lots of room for trailers. Could use a few more pans and a crock pot in the kitchen. Would and hope to stay again

Nice Stay and Location
We stayed here for a long weekend to snowmobile in the UP. The rental is directly on the lake and easy access to the trails. The house was a roomy sized rental for our group. We would definitely stay here again!

January Snowmobile Trip
The house is conveniently located on the north side of Gogebic not far from AJ’s Lodge and the Hoop N Holler. It worked really well for snowmobiling. There is plenty of area to park a snowmobile trailer and it was easy to access the lake. We did have an issue accessing the house when we arrived. The code we were sent did not work and it took 45 minutes before we finally reached the owner for a new code. The house was well equipped except for the kitchen. They could definitely could use new pots and pans. Overall, a good stay.

A large lake affords many recreational opportunities. Good location on the lake and near small town for essentials. Close to state and county parks. Great neighborhood.

What a wonderful time!
I loved it! Comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed the large table for a game of cards and the sauna after a dip in the lake. If I would advise of any improvements, it would be for a new stove for those of us who like to cook. Also, the kitchen sink was draining slow, and there was no garbage disposal. Please be aware, you will need to haul your garbage out yourself. I would however, stay here again! The view and swimming was wonderful!

Cottage on the lake
Walking into this property felt like stepping back into childhood trips to our grandparents cottage. Large windows overlooking a wide expansive view of Lake Gogebic provided that on the water experience. We didn’t use the water as the reason for our trip to the area was to explore the waterfalls.

Worth the drive...
We stayed at this property for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is HUGE! There were 4 adults and two kids in our group and we had more than enough room. The sauna and washer/dryer were a huge bonus! The boys were able to fish out of the canoe and we had an amazing trip! Would definitely be willing to take the 10-hour drive again to stay here!

Return family vacation visit
The location is great for a family with kids who like to play in the lake. We had so much fun a year ago that our kids asked to come back. There is so much to do and see outdoors in the area. We'd spend much of the day exploring trails and waterfalls and then return for evenings with kids playing in the lake. For our family, it was a great combination of adventure and R&R. Dawn has always been quick to respond and resolve any concerns. I have a feeling we'll be back. 🙂

Mostly nice.
Nice property, great location. There were a few issues. The boat dock is not in. Most families coming up will be fishing or playing on the lake. We were able to beach two medium size boats between the rocks but it's a tight fit. None of the outside power outlets were working. Was able to charge trolling motor batteries with a 100 ft extension cord in the house and under the door. Pans are provided but the are 1960s aluminum and burn everything. Good luck frying fish or eggs! Bring your own! Lastly the mosquitos are horrendous this year, obviously nobody's fault, just plan on lots of bug spray!

Relaxing Lakeside Escape
The property is spacious and right on the water. We had plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. The kitchen met our needs. My husband struggles with stairs so it would have been nice to know of the few stairs to get to the main part of the house. We used the fire pit, sauna and grill. We had a great stay.

Summer Lake Life
For a family that travels with our awesome dog, what's not to love? The kids all had their own bed and they needed them after playing all day in the sandy bottomed north end of Lake Gogebic or tromping the trails to numerous nearby (30 to 40 minutes drive) waterfalls. We made use of the provided canoe with a few sunset trips along the north shore. We fired up the charcoal grill several times and even cooked hot dogs and s'mores over the fire by the lake (we bought roasting sticks). It was quiet around the lake during the week while boat traffic picked up a bit on the weekends. Mostly pontoons and fishing boats. It's a big lake with lots of room. In the evenings we enjoyed the pastel sunsets and even got to watch a few storms forming well south of us. We made sure to get outside on the clear nights to take in all the stars and the Milky Way cloud. I remember seeing that as a kid, but rarely since then due to increased light pollution. Dawn was very quick to answer any questions and made some great recommendations on local places to see and to eat at. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. We appreciated having the laundry facility as well, to make sure the swimsuits were clean, dry and ready for the next use. Not sure when we'll get a chance to go back, but would not hesitate to book this property again.

Great location on Lake Gogebic
This was a great location right on Lake Gogebic. The great room was large and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked but a little crowded. It would have been nice to have a cupboard or two for our food. Having two bathrooms for 6 adults was great but one was at the other end of the house from the bedrooms. It was a lovely remodeled bathroom, though.

Fun stay on Lake Gogibic
The property is right on the lake, closer than it appears in the pictures. It has enough space to sit out in the back yard looking over the lake. The lake bottom is perfectly sandy for swimming and not too deep. There is an area to launch kayaks as well. The property is also bigger than it appears in the pictures. The bar area is between the house and garage, which creates a nice place to hang out inside away from the bedrooms after the kids went to bed. The property owner responded promptly to any questions. Bergland is a few minutes away for any supplies. It is only a 15 minute drive to Lake Superior.
