Cedarledge Cottage - Waterfront Cottage - "Quietside" of MDI / Acadia National Park

Cedarledge Cottage est un chalet au bord de l'eau de deux chambres. Il y a un salon / salle à manger, une cuisine entièrement équipée et une salle de bain complète. Nous avons rénové le chalet en 2018 en installant de nouvelles fenêtres dans le salon et la cuisine. (voir photos) Passez les portes vitrées coulissantes de la salle à manger sur une grande terrasse avec des sièges confortables et une vue spectaculaire sur Blue Hill Bay.

Notre maison et notre chalet sont situés sur le côté ouest de l'île Mount Desert et du parc national Acadia dans le village côtier de West Tremont. Nous possédons sept acres de terrain et 500 pieds de littoral de plage de granit et de pierre audacieux avec une exposition sud-ouest sur Blue Hill Bay. Notre emplacement est privé exceptionnel, décidément non commercial, mais pratique pour les installations des villes environnantes, y compris Bar Harbor. Vous pouvez vous rendre dans certaines parties du parc national d'Acadia en 10 minutes et à Bar Harbor en 30 minutes environ.

INFORMATIONS GÉNÉRALES:
1) Nous louons Cedarledge Cottage à la semaine, du samedi au samedi.
2) Nous aimons énormément les animaux de compagnie, mais nous avons constaté que les animaux de compagnie sont souvent mécontents dans un environnement inconnu. Nous avons aussi des locataires de retour qui ont des allergies. Nous avons malheureusement conclu que nous ne pouvons pas accueillir d'animaux domestiques.
3) Notre chalet d'entretien ménager est sans fumée. Il est interdit de fumer à l'intérieur à tout moment.
4) Nous limitons le nombre de personnes à quatre, y compris les nourrissons.


Lors de votre séjour dans ce cottage, vous ne serez qu'à quelques minutes de Phare de Bass Harbor. L'accès Wi-Fi à Internet gratuit est disponible. Profitez de votre séjour avec des équipements et services comme une cuisine et une cheminée disponibles dans ce cottage.

Hiking Trip
The property couldn’t have been lovelier! Right on the water to watch the boats and to walk right along the shore. Sitting on the Adirondack chairs at the end of the day was glorious. Bed is so comfortable. Pillows are comfortable. Kitchen well appointed. Has stove was great. Kathy super helpful host. Cannot wait to go back!

Peaceful place on the island
This place is away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. It’s a great launching point for all things Acadia. You’ll notice when you arrive the beautiful view of the ocean and you can spend your mornings on the back porch listening to the water hitting the shore. The place was clean upon arrival and the beds were comfy for your nightly rest. There’s fast internet and a smart TV if that’s your thing.

Another great stay!
We recently stayed at the Cedarledge property and had a lovely stay. We previously rented another of Kathleen’s properties so we were excited to find this one available for a last minute trip. The location was exactly what we were hoping for and was a great home base for us during our stay. Being waterfront is always beautiful, especially on a few morning where we had fog roll in overnight. We also thoroughly enjoyed eating our lobsters sitting on the deck chairs overlooking the water. The kitchen is well stocked and allowed us to cook many of our own meals. The internet is also quite strong, which is a plus and not something you can always count on while staying on MDI.

perfect scenery on Maine coast
Kathleen and Seaside cottages are a wonderful place to escape to from the city and enjoy the quiet and wonder of the Maine Coast on the quiet side of Mt Desert Island. Kathleen makes it all so easy to check in and help with any questions. Enjoy a short walk to two Adirondack chairs sitting on the rocky cliffs of the property to enjoy the ocean and sunsets. Lobster boats, deer, loons and even bald eagle were some of the wildlife we saw this trip. The cottage fits a couple well with a nice sunny master bedroom and smaller second bedroom. The living area has a dinner table, two chairs to watch TV, and a smaller couch for reading. But you probably won’t spend a lot of time there if you want to go out hiking in Acadia National Park.

A peaceful retreat with a beautiful view.
This was our first visit to Maine and we were not disappointed especially since we had this cozy cottage on the quiet side of MDI island to return to each evening after hiking, biking, and sightseeing. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and enjoyable to cook in. The cottage is very clean and the bed comfortable. We would not hesitate to rent again if the opportunity presents itself.

Great views, maybe a bit of cleaning is in order (and a new cable subscription)
The view of the ocean was the biggest draw to this home. You can walk along a short path and wade in the water. MDI has many mosquitoes, but when it rained, it seemed they were particularly abundant around this part of the island. For us, the biggest problem was the cleanliness of the home. There were roaches (or water bugs not sure) in the bathroom. Much of the house seemed like it needed a good dusting and cleaning. I would recommend that the owners hire a professional cleaning service in between guests. My sense of it was that they do their own cleaning. One other gripe was that the owners have some strange way of providing television or cable. You have to make your own subscription (and possibly pay extra). It was so complicated that we could not figure it out. The house was otherwise cute, all the amenities that you need were there, and the two owners are responsive.

Wonderful cottage on the water
Clean, quiet retreat with beautiful water views of Blue Hill Bay. It’s about thirty minutes to the Bar Harbor side of the island which was fine with us. The cottage was cute and cozy and the gas stove helped cut the chill in the morning. Very fun and relaxing family vacation! Thank you!

Outstanding and Awesome
Beautiful property on the water Quiet and relaxing with all the amenities of home including wifi Location on the quietside is our preference with easy access to the Park and Bar Harbor and all the other Harbor villages of the Island. The view from the rocks on the shore is spectacular Our weeks stay went by too quickly and we hope to return soon Kathy met us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left and kept in touch via email but otherwise left us to enjoy our time away from the world Outstanding and awesome place

Beautiful stay at at great property
The cottage is great, Cathy and her husband are most caring hosts. Couple things to be mindful of that do not necessarily relate to the cottage itself: pack sufficient items to last you throughout your stay since there is no laundry in the cottage. If you travel by car buy your groceries on the mainland since the grocery store near property is sparsely stocked and overpriced. The property itself is grea with location being perfect in my opinion. Warm welcome and restful- exactly as needed

Wonderful Quietside Getaway
This is a great little cottage for getting away! Very comfortable and clean, with all the amenities you need. There's a short path to the ocean, where you can sit and watch the sun rise, or put in a kayak. The property is well back from the main road, and the only sounds you hear are the ocean, the birds, and the lobster boats off in the distance. We had a wonderful stay, and will go back again!

Quiet, clean, well taken care of property. Kind and gracious hosts.
The property is nice and quiet, just what we wanted. It gave us a chance to relax and enjoy the island without having people constantly around. If we wanted the busy scene we could drive to it and enjoy that and come back to the cottage when we were finished. There are two small towns within 5-10 drive to eat, shop or get groceries etc. You are about twenty minute drive from Acadia Park's main entrance. Oh yes, I almost forgot. This is finally a place with decent wifi, I can't tell you how many places say they have wifi and you get slow poor connections. I do occasionally have to work when I am gone and the wifi here was great! That was a blessing I wasn't expecting, cudos to the hosts for that! If I wanted to stream some netflix no problem.... it made it nice to come home in the evening, watch the sunset, climb in bed and watch a favorite episode online.... ahhh day complete.
