Amish Stay Vacation Home - Bird in Hand, Lancaster PA

Come stay “amongst the Amish”. This newly listed spacious 5-bedroom farmhouse offers you a home away from home. This home is perfect for your Amish adventure and valuable family time. Conveniently located between the villages of Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse PA, yet right in the heart of all Lancaster County attractions. You will enjoy a peaceful scenic farmland setting, with Amish neighbors who are a pleasure to meet. A charming white picket fence surrounds your backyard, with a chimneyia for family fun.
This Historic and breathtaking home offers lots of luxury details and upscale home décor. The 5 comfortable bedrooms await to provide you with a restful night stay. The three spacious full size bathrooms, one with a 10 jet whirlpool tub, will accommodate your family needs. A large country Flare kitchen with a cathedral ceiling will make your family meals bright and cheery. Then slip into your generous size living room, to relax or spend quality time with the family in comfort.
1st floor: bedroom with ensuite bathroom

3rd floor: bedroom with ensuite bathroom
Advertised rate is for up to 2 guests ($25 per night, per additional guest). Be sure to enter total number of guests on the booking form to get the accurate rate for your stay. The guesthouse is located on the Philadelphia Pike (rt. 340), so there is some traffic noise. The backyard looks out onto surrounding Amish farmland.
There's one TV in the living room which has Chromecast & DVD only (no cable). Check in is after 4 PM, check out is by 10 AM. Unfortunately we're unable to offer earlier check ins, or later check outs.

Family outing

Grounds well kept and flowers beautiful. The lock box was easy to access. The house is on a very busy road. The noise from the road was obvious when trying to sleep. Table in kitchen large and spacious. The bathrooms were nice and on all 3 floors. Would be nice for queen bed on 3rd floor with 3rd bathroom. Parking at house very ample. The dishes we took out of the cupboard had dirty spots on them so we did a load of dishes and silverware before we used any of them. The TV does not have cable. It would be nice to have TV instructions on how to use chromecast. Thankful for the air conditioning which worked well.

We only spent one night here, but wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was very clean and in good shape. Kitchen was well appointed. We couldnt get the bbq to work, but that was ok.

Cluttered, like staying with family or friends instead of rental property
Lots of beds so this would be great for a large group. The location was easy to find but it's a very busy road. Noise wasn't much of a problem but we did have sound machines with us at night to help. For as many beds, seating otherwise is pretty limited but the furniture was comfortable and adequate. Dining space is tight and the only TV is in the living room. Backyard is beautiful. You can definitely smell that you're amongst farmland though! The main downside was the "lived-in" nature of the home. Drawers and cabinets were full of random stuff like someone just stepped away from their own clutter for someone else to come stay. Closets were a mess, beds are old and not comfortable. Overall, great location, nice yard, but it's like staying over at your aunt's house rather than a vacation property.

House was lovely and very well equipped., very comfortable. The only concern was when we had a malfunctioning smoke alarm.(needed new battery) Attempted to contact host but did not hear back from them. Replaced battery ourselves.

Very clean. Plenty of bedrooms. Would have stayed longer. Wish checkin time had been earlier in the afternoon. It is very noisy with street traffic. Didn’t bother us because we are used to traffic noise. Great location to many things to do.

Well-maintained, clean spacious well located property. Proximity to the new Linden coffee was a bonus.(once a one room school house) Only drawback was closeness to fairly heavily traveled Road with a lot of truck traffic. Still can’t beat the location. It is smack dab in the middle of Amish country with many Amish neighbors and an Amish host.

I spent the weekend here with five friends and we enjoyed each having our own bedroom, 3 full bathrooms and lots of comfy seating to spend time catching up with each other. Prime location for shopping and restaurants!

Warm and Comfy
Girls weekend trip to attend Sight and Sound show and shopping. The house was great; plenty of room to spread out to relax and sleep. The kitchen is well stocked and everything was clean. Location is good to get everywhere. It is on a main road so there is road noise, but we enjoyed listening to the horse and buggies going by. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for opening you cute house to us!

We were able to have a very pleasant time together. We were able to gather comfortably anywhere in the house. The house was very clean. It was a good location for everything we wanted to do in the area. We do plan to return for another visit.

Adorable & Clean Home in Great Location!
The house and property were very well taken care of and clean. The owner was also friendly and courteous. The upgrades to the main and upper levels are very nice and provided a comfortable stay. The only issue we had and why I can't give it 5 stars is because the air conditioning on the second level was not working and they were unable to get it repaired before our stay. While this was disappointing, the owner was very apologetic and brought in fans to help make our stay a little more comfortable. And, even though we were fortunate that the temps remained in the 80's during the day and lower in the night, it was still very warm for the three of us who had to sleep on the second level. We would definitely stay there again, but would make sure the AC is working properly first. :-)
