Come along with us for an incredible countryside break at Yengo Tiny House by Tiny Away! The ideal tiny house NSW retreat nestled amongst the Wollombi Brook and Brokenback mountains, just a stone's throw from the Brokenback wine trail's wineries and vineyards.
What's more, within a short 20-25 minute drive, you can explore renowned Hunter Valley Wineries including Peterson House, Hanging Tree Wines, and Audrey Wilkinson, among others.
The Space:
Yengo Tiny House by Tiny Away sits in the tranquil neighbourhoods of Broke-Fordwich, also known as the oldest wine-making region in Australia. Just an hour away, you'll find bustling Newcastle, famous for its wildlife, and the Central Coast, with its beautiful national parks, forests, and beaches.
Perched on level ground, the retreat offers captivating views of the mountains and expansive, park-like grounds waiting to be explored by guests. As the sun sets, gather around the campfire to swap tales and perhaps catch a glimpse of native Australian wildlife, such as deer, kangaroos, wombats, and birdlife in the area.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home offers well-furnished guest rooms, spacious public areas, and comfortable seating areas. It has easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) for your use.
If you plan to spend your tiny house NSW retreats here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be a second tiny house called "Wollemi" that sits on the same property. If you want to book in groups, please contact your land host 24 hrs in advance to make arrangements.
As an added note, the distance between the two tiny houses is approximately 100 meters, 100 meters far away to main road and 300 meters to the main house.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings, and we ask guests to be careful when exploring. If you are interested, we also have pre-orders listed below by prior arrangement with the host not less than 248hours before arrival.
- Firewood is available for an extra cost of $20 per bag
- Organic pantry items are available at an extra cost
- The breakfast hamper would be $25 Per person
- The cheese board would be $40 for the platter

Yengo Tiny House by Tiny Away is located in Broke-Fordwich, just an hour from the bustling cities of Newcastle and the Central Coast. Need stock up on supplies? No problem! The vibrant hub of Cessnock is a mere 28 minutes away, brimming with supermarkets, restaurants, and shops awaiting your discovery.

Getting Around:
By car:
- 2 hrs drive from Sydney
- 1 hr drive from Charlestown
- 1 hr drive from the Central Coast
- 1 hr drive from Newcastle. All are accessible by 2WD.
IMPORTANT: During or after wet weather guests should park inside the front entry gate and walk to the tiny houses on the designated path as the soil is clay and cars can easily get stuck. 70m- 80m walking distance from the front entry gate to the tiny house
By public transport: We recommend guests travel by private vehicle as there are transports available directly from our property.
Other Things to Note:
- BBQ Grill is not available
- No Pets are allowed
- Telstra has good signal. Optus has weak signal. No signal for Vodafone, 2degrees & Spark
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Recycling and composting bins are available for disposing of rubbish properly
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Given the rural setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
