Veterans days weekend get away
Quick 4 day trip to Mammoth Cave area with my spouse and best friend from the Army. Great location although a bit close to the road for the paper thin “soundproofing”. Road noise doesn’t bother me much but shared wall neighbors and “thin walls” is a nightmare. Not only is it annoying hearing them but I feel super awkward the entire time trying to be quiet knowing they can hear us and that’s not an enjoyable way to spend vacation time. The unit is nicely decorated and furnished, just with heavily used furniture, the couch is very uncomfortable to sit on and neither bed offered a decent nights sleep. Issues with the dishwasher and app only lock not working properly rounded out the disappointing stay.

Cabin vibe outside, cozy and modern inside. Well maintained and relaxing decor. Scenic drive to Mammoth Caves National Park just beyond the front porch. We stayed 3 nights and it was so relaxing to return after a day of hiking. Very comfortable accommodations.

Mammoth Cave Adventure
We loved our stay here. It was about 15 to 20 minutes to everything we wanted to see in the Mammoth Cave region. We were pleasantly surprised to find out there was a grocery store less than 10 minutes down the road to easily stock up on snacks, breakfast, and picnic items. After a hot day of adventures and exploring there was plenty of hot water for us all to shower. The lock system was great so we didn’t have to worry about a key on our adventures.

Very clean and nice rental!!
This properly was super cute and clean, and perfect size for the 3 of us. My son got his own room, which was what he wanted being 17 of course! They provided all essentials and then some. They even had full size shampoo/conditioner which was so kind. We were able to do a load of laundry! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. We stayed mostly to go to Mammoth Cave. That being said it was a bit farther away then we realized but still reasonable. The area itself did not have many food choices, but stores to grab stuff and cook at home were pretty close. Corvette Museum was close by and my son and husband loved that! We did some kayaking near the cave too which was fun! Only issue: The key program didn't work for us the whole time. BUT, the the owner had a key ready for just that scenario and when I texted her with the problem - it was resolved in minutes. Very great communication. Beds were SUPER comfy!

The property was very clean and beautiful. I was able to find all kitchen appliances and utensils needed during my stay. The bathroom was clean. All linens were clean and available. The location does not come up on the GPS and is difficult to find. I had trouble, but Michelle answered when I called and helped with directions there.

Lovely place, close to many attractions
This place was even nicer than the pictures show. We really enjoyed it. My one and only critique is that with the mini-split hvac system in the main room, it’s impossible to have any privacy because you can’t shut bedroom doors off from the cooling/heating source. A bit of a design flaw. Overall really enjoyed this property though!

The apartment itself was great. Very clean inside and plenty of space for us and the pup. Currently, there is construction "next door" which is really right outside and there was quite a bit of construction mess when we were there, making it less desirable for our dog at the present time. The property manager was very accommodating on this point and made it right for us in the best way that they could. Be aware that the property is a little "out there" if you're looking for restaurants or distilleries, but perfect if you plan to spend all of your time at Mammoth Cave :)

Enjoyed the weekend in this beautiful area at this cozy 2 bedroom 1 bath home. Beautifully decorated and sufficient space for our family of 4. Pet friendly home with plenty of grass areas to walk pets. Area is beautiful country. Didn’t bring our pets but will next time. All supplies provided making us feel right at home. Washer and dryer with supplies. Beds comfortable and cozy. No central air with ventilation in each room. Home cooled sufficiently by a large ductless heat pump system with remote in the open living room/ kitchen area quietly and quickly . A floor fan and ceiling fans provided in bedrooms assisted with cooling. Fans assisted with circulation of cool air throughout home pretty good. Bathroom had a ventilation vent so the temp stayed normal during showers. Some linens removed from beds to stay cool when sleeping. Very close to mammoth cave and Bowling Green. currently building 3-4 new apartments next door to the duplex. Zero noise complaints from construction. We were there for the weekend unsure during the week. Plenty of room to park. Easy to check in through the August app and lock home when leaving. Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Felt safe in area. Would recommend to others and stay again if in area.

Uncomfortable stay
While this property was very clean and the host was lovely (even bringing us a fan at 9pm), it was lacking in many ways. The kitchen is an important space for us while traveling and this kitchen did not have the basics (no s&p, spices, sugar, flour, oil). It lacked equipment like measuring cups, baking trays, knives (only steak and paring), scissors, tongs, dishwasher detergent.Small things are missing like hooks for towels and curtains to darken the bedrooms (only mini blinds and sheer curtains). The most difficult aspect is the heat/AC. There is one unit on the wall in the living room. Bedrooms are not vented so it was extremely hot in bedrooms even with doors open and fans on. This also meant that if one person wanted to go to bed early, they could not close door for privacy because it was sooooo hot. It was quite chilly in the living room with the unit blowing directly on you, but if the temp wasn’t set down to at least 68 degrees, the bedrooms were unbearable. We traveled with our small dogs, but really had no place to walk them. There is a very large apt type building going up next door so there is construction debris/dirt/rocks and lumber everywhere. The green areas were sparse and mostly course weeds (not great for small dogs). The only “grassy” area was right against the house but that put us right outside the other units bedroom windows. Because of construction, there was a porta-potty about 20 yards from our front door. Overall, this is not at all what we have experienced with VRBO over the years. Unfortunately, would not recommend.
