Welcome to our home. Guests have full access to the entire home, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, the cozy study, and the spacious living room. You'll also have access to the well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and the large front porch. Outside, feel free to enjoy the private backyard, fire pit, and any outdoor play areas available. Please be mindful of the neighbors and avoid disturbing them. Note that parties are not allowed without prior approval.

It is beautiful and peaceful here I love the nature and the surrounding area. Lake Anna is only 30 minutes away.

We offer a contactless self check-in process, but we are always available if you need any assistance during your stay. Please don't hesitate to reach out if any issues arise. For your safety, we have security cameras in the front yard, backyard, (excluding private areas). Parties are not permitted, and we ask that you respect the quiet, peaceful nature of the neighborhood during your stay.

We have three outdoor cameras in the front, back and on the side of our home for your safety.
Essential House Rules
✓Check-in is between 4-6 pm. Key code will be sent 4 hours before arrival.
✓Maximum occupancy is 8 guests. No unregistered visitors allowed.
✓All guests over 18 must be listed in the reservation.
✓Please remove shoes upon entering the house.
✓The second floor is only accessible for use of the laundry room.
✓No parties or events are permitted.
✓Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
✓ Rudeness and disrespect will not be tolerated. If you are rude and disrespectful you will be asked to leave without a refund

Would recommend a stay here. The house was fairly clean, the area is nice, the fire pit looks cool (we didn't get to use it). The place is not as listed so be sure to check. The pictures are out of date. The furniture is not as shown and not arranged as shown. The "kids room" has bunk bed, not pictured. Pretty sure only one of the other bedrooms is photographed. Yes, there are chickens outside, penned. This didn't bother us but we would have appreciated a note in the listing that they are there and we don't (or do?) need to take care of them, or that someone would be coming by (we didn't see anyone). Instead we were concerned about them in the cold and whether they had food & water. Just mention it up front, either way.The biggest issue was things missing/not working. An x box is advertised in the listing (I have screenshots) but it doesn't work. Watching TV was difficult and the 100s of blu rays was not possible. The remotes didn't have batteries and there weren't any in the house. We had to buy them from the store. Also some outlets in the surge protector weren't working and we were told to also buy a new one to use. Most items you'd want in a kitchen are not there (paper towels, napkins, baking pans, dishwashing soap, etc). Again, not as pictured.The hosts were incredibly responsive and took time to talk to us on the phone, which is nice. But the solution was to buy basics ourselves. They also blamed previous guests which also means they don't check between guests

Check In & Check Out Issues
Owner messaged and told me check in was at 5:00. I informed her that my confirmation showed 4:00. I checked in early because I came from MD and owner charged me $50 to check in 1 1/2 hrs early at 2:30. Upon entering the home and returning to get 2nd bag I was met by a Dominion Electric employee who first asked if I was the owner and I explained to him I was the renter for 4 days. He told me he was there to shut off the electric for non payment. He also advised that this was the second extension and the owner did not pay after the first extension. I called the owner and told her what was going on. She asked to speak to the employee and she told him she had the money in her pocket and would pay right away. She must have paid because electric was never turned off. She also said there are chickens and you can use the eggs. There were 3 live chickens and 1 dead chicken in the cage. So no thanks for the offer. On check out morning she messaged me and told me I needed to be out by 10. My confirmation clearly showed 11 a.m. The interior of the home was fine, but the outside needed lawn care and I actually swept all the dead grass off the sidewalk and porch steps so as not to drag it in the home. The side yard had several cars and 2 travel trailers which appeared to be unused for a very long time. The back yard was also full of debris stacked up next to the home. Just take warning if you are there with small children, the back yard could be hazardous for them.

The house was clean and welcoming. It's in a quiet and semi-rural area. The owner has chickens and allowed us to eat the eggs. It is family oriented. The owner is super friendly and provides excellent customer service. We had a slight issue and it was fixed right away. She goes above and beyond for her guests.

This place felt like home and it really was a pleasure to stay here. We loved the rural feel and the quiet as well as being a half an hour from Richmond. We would definitely stay again.

This was perfect for our needs. It felt like home, and we really enjoyed the rural and quiet atmosphere. I’ve stayed many places before, but this home is one of the best and I hope to be able to rent it again next year.
