A luxury detached home with wave spa hot tub
Apple Tree House
Families or Friends, it’s perfect.
**WAVE SPA 6 PERSON HOT TUB**
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO NOTE THAT THERE ARE STRICTLY NO PARTIES TO BE HELD IN THE HOUSE DUE THE RESIDENTIAL LOCATION!!
A LUXURY FIVE STAR DETACHED BAY FRONTED period residence.
The house is less than a 6 minutesdrive to the M4 and minutes from some of Wales’ most beautiful countryside.
4 large double bedrooms, master with Ensuite and private dressing room.
Huge family area and lounge.
PET FRIENDLY.
We are on a B road on the entry to our village.
We have beautiful views surrounding us though.
One other most important thing we also think you should be aware of, we are in a quiet residential area.
Please respect the neighbours and the neighbourhood.
No parties are to be held at the house, due to the proximity of neighbouring properties.
We are also on one of the most beautiful Victorian Bay Fronted Tree lined streets and one of the most sought after streets in our Village.
Our guests are encouraged to treat the house just like home.
Respectfully, we do ask that shoes are removed before entering the carpeted areas of the house or before climbing the stairs.
This keeps the lovely house as clean for everyone as it was when you arrived.
The garden is for your own use and is not shared with anyone.
We have an eating apple tree at the end of the garden and we are happy for you to help yourself to any fallen apples for cooking (here or take home) or ripe apples.
Fill your boots and have a pick your own apples sesh with the kids.
Guests have access to every single part of the property.
We are keen for you to feel ‘away but home’ this is our thing.
We supply you with absolutely everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and homely stay.
This includes some essential dry pantry goods to get you by and even a small milk for a quick cuppa when you arrive.
We know there is nothing more frustrating than planning on a nice meal and realising there is no seasoning - it’s in the cupboard, don’t worry.
Every cooking utensil, pot, pan and foil and cling film is all provided.
If you really do need anything quick then we have a Spar Shop just less than a minutes drive to the left.
Open until 11pm.
Later than that?
No problem, the 24 hour Spar Garage is just left out of the drive, right at the roundabout you come to towards Pontypool and it’s on the end of that dual carriageway, off the next roundabout, next to McDonald’s.
(Oh yes we have a 24 hour MACCY D and a KFC there too - there is no chance of you starving)
Little touches that make the stay much more convenient.
There are lots of games for the children(and the adults) and some bats and balls if they’d like to play in the garden.
With the gate closed, the garden is 100% pet friendly.
We are available all the time.
If we are sleeping then we can’t respond but our response time is almost always within the hour otherwise.
It is easier to message or text as during the day we do work full time.
One of us will always respond 😁
Our gorgeous modern-day yet quaint village grew from a small number of houses built during the very late nineteenth century and into the twentieth century along The Highway (the main road through the village, spelt The High Way on earlier maps), which was then the main route between Newport (to the south) and Pontypool.
We still have the village feel today with a few locally owned shops and a cafe and the ever important Spar shop.
The house is on what is an excellent transport infrastructure with the main buses to the local towns etc driving directly through the village and passed the house.
A 15 minute walk will get you to the New Inn and Pontypool train station serving all the way from Tenby West Wales to Manchester in the North.
This is an excellent way to visit and explore beautiful places like Abergavenny, Hereford and so on or if you prefer something with a little more hussle and bustle then the other way to Cardiff and the West.
We are less than 60 seconds drive to the country lanes and just a 12 minute drive to the breathtaking Llandegfedd Reservoir and Water Sports Centre.
An amazing reservoir with cafe and boating and ample free parking set in 174 hectares.
We are minutes walk from the beautiful Monmouthshire and Brecon canal which also attracts a lot of push bike riders.
This is a perfect walk for our doggy guests too.
Another main attraction of our bikers are the wonderful surrounding mountains.
We literally have far too many choose from but in our online guide you will see the most popular.
We are 20 minutes drive from the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons and approx 40 minutes drive to the heart.
This is 347 square miles of natural beauty and also contains many of the popular climbing mountains for beginners and experienced climbers alike.
Locally we have some wonderful family attractions, community farms, walks, sports centres, shopping, restaurants.
You certainly will not be lost for things to keep the kids and the pets occupied.
We are 6 minutes to Cwmbran Town Centre for all your shopping needs including a superstore Asda and Sainsbury’s and 6 minutes the other way to Pontypool Town Centre for Tesco’s.
Pontypool Park is just a very short walk away and is locally known as the People’s Park, covering some 64 hectares with several historical features - including Italian Gardens, Ice Houses and Shell Grotto - which have been restored with a Heritage Lottery Fund grant and funding from Torfaen County Borough Council. There is also a link from the Park, through adjacent farm land to the Folly Tower, via a public footpath.
Facilities include a children's play area, rugby pitch (home to Pontypool RFC), tennis courts, pitch and putt, bowls and a dry ski slope.
There are footpath links into the Brecon Beacons National Park on the most northern boundary.
The main bus routes come directly past the house.
The New Inn and Pontypool Train Station is approx a 12 minute walk away and has many short cuts so please do ask and we will happily assist in sending a route but google maps will help you too.
So, you’re on hols, don’t want to cook ?
We don’t blame you!
In the guide here on the air B and B app are a list of our personal tried and tested favourite eateries.
Most will deliver but some are literally 2-3 minutes away so that could get awkward.
We have Indian Takeaway, Chinese Takeaway, Pizza, the beautiful award winning family bistro pub/restaurant at the end of the road is perfect.
For more of a pub night out, try the family friendly Lower New Inn Bistro pub just a few doors up from the house, it’s a wonderful place.
For a more relaxed atmosphere you simply must walk along the canal to ‘The Open Hearth’
It’s a quaint canal side pub with incredible history.
You will be spoilt for choice here.
We have some beautiful fine dining restaurants too.
Families or Friends, it’s perfect.
