Sit back and relax in our custom waterfront Lake Norman Home! This luxurious retreat on Lake Norman is perfect for gathering with family and friends or to get away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake. Enjoy convenience of renting a boat, jet ski, etc. in the same cove we are in or contact https://www.lakeeffectsboatrentals.com/ to have your favorite water sport delivered to you free of charge with a weekly rental.
Our lake house is in a quiet neighborhood, and fully equipped with everything you could ask for. A chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances on main level with large, magnificent ceilings and windows looking out to the lake, open entertainment area with 70” smart TV and huge custom built dining table with seating for 15+ overflowing into an entertaining deck with new Trex decking, a teak dining table for 12 and comfy chairs to relax and enjoy the lake view! For the grill master, we have a grilling deck just outside the main kitchen with a gas grill for your use. Lower level also has fully equipped kitchen and wet bar coupled with a huge projector TV and screen, dart board, built in wine rack. Enjoy the entertainment area with a Foosball Table, Shuffleboard and walk out covered patio with lounging area and lake view. There are steps to the main home entry as well as to the dock.
Our house has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths and sleeps 9 adults and 6 kids comfortably. The spacious bedrooms include a master suite with a king bed and luxurious bathroom with double walk-in shower and a large soaking tub. A queen bedroom, bunk room with 3 double bunk beds and a separate full bath on the main. Lower level includes 2 queen bedrooms, 1 with an additional fold-out sofa with twin bed and a beautiful full bath. The home is overflowing with large windows, lake views and plenty of room for you to make yourself at home with your family and friends.
We have gas log fireplace inside to keep you warm if temperatures dip, an outside fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs for evening gatherings and best of all, access to your own private dock with a boat slip where you can also fish or float the day away with a beverage in hand if that is more your style! Simply unwind and enjoy the lake in your favorite way.

While on Lake Norman, there are plenty of nearby boat rental companies if you’d like to enjoy boater’s paradise on Lake Norman! Long Island Marina is just outside our cove and we’re a short boat ride to Waterside Grill, Blue Parrot and Apps and Taps as well as a sandbar just down the lake offering beautiful sunsets. You’ll find plenty of waterfront restaurants and activities as you cruise around the lake, the possibilities are endless.

Other things to note:
** We have smart TV’s and Free high-speed Wi-Fi provided by owners (but internet on the lake is sometimes not the best)
** Keyless front entry to the Lake House, so no front desk visit is required!
** Note also, there are steps from the parking to house as well as steps and some terrain down to the lake as shown in the pictures
** Note, NO Pets allowed
*** Dredging in our cove began in the winter to enhance water depth and is complete!

Incredible getaway
This home was a beautiful landing spot for our group - my sons college friends joined our family for a fall weekend. The house has everything you might need. So many cozy spots to snuggle up or or watch leaves fall. The outdoors was such a bonus! The fire pit and dock were my favorite. Dana was great to work with! We loved it!

Annual Cousins Weekend
We hosted our annual cousin weekend. The location was perfect! The pictures didn't do the home justice as the in person experiecne was top tier. It was perfect for our weekend. It was 12 of us in the group and all 12 of us were impressed with the home. Dana responded quickly to any questions and gave very detailed information the day of our arrival. The home offered everything you possibly needed from cooking seasoning, utensils, water, and some snacks. The plus was the 2 kitchens. I highly recommend this home and we definitely look forward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful, great for family celebrations
So the place is even more beautiful than the pictures communicate. it's also on a stunningly beautiful piece of property. Let's get the stairs out of the way to begin with, as they've been much talked about: Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness is going to manage them just fine; if you have folks with canes or walkers you'll need a different space. They were not a problem for anyone in our family (7 of us age 20 - 57). The 2 kitchens made cooking our Thanksgiving meal an absolute pleasure. The abundance of board games and other games (like shuffleboard, cards, foosball and darts) kept our kids entertained throughout the entire stay! Communication from the owner was best in class! The beds were supremely comfortable. The bathrooms are immaculate and the master bath is a study in luxury. Truly a chef's kitchen with roaster pans, soup pots, every size frying pan, wok, appliances, platters, wine and martini glasses, even copper mugs for moscow mules. A whole set of plastic dishwear for littles. Great neighborhood. Thirteen minutes from an awesome grocery store (which was shocking given how remote and secluded the property feels!) Great back deck where we all stood and talked and watched the stars one night. So beautiful. Pristine laundry room with full size machines. Sadly the lake was unusually low (drought) during our visit, so we did not get to take the kayaks out, but we're planning to come back in the summer. Perfect family memory-making space. Book it!!! :)

Best Girls Trip Ever
My 6 friends and I had the absolute best time here. We spent a Thursday-Sunday here and enjoyed every second of it. Dana is an amazing host with great communication and great instruction on check in and check out process. We enjoyed our nights by the fire and just hanging out in the beautiful backyard! We woke up every morning well rested in the super comfy beds. If I’m ever in the area again I will be staying here!

Great place for a family gathering
The pictures of this place certainly don't fully convey the beauty of this house - especially the shared areas. The owners had certainly focused on ensuring there were plenty of activities supported no matter the interest of each individual: Darts, video games, shuffleboard, foosball, board games (the redneck one is great), books, kayaks, paddle boards, and the list goes on. On the practical side, there wasn't anything they didn't have covered when we arrived. Coffee makers - both types, crock pots, openers, toaster, cookware: all the stuff that 2 full kitchens would hold. Garbage bags, laundry detergent, starter paper towels, hand soap and other nice little personal touches like some light snacks & water also provided. We had a family of 12 with a couple of people with some mobility challenges. Although the steep incline that this house is built on absolutely makes it the scenic environment it is, we did need to setup a couple of chairs along the pathway down to the dock in particular to allow those individuals to take a break. It's a little steeper than any pictures will show. The parking area also sits above the house - roughly level with the roof line, then a bit of a decent. That one is slightly easier with the wide steps and not as long of a distance. On the other hand, several us living in flat land areas loved the workout. The driveway is a bit narrow with that same type of drop. Picturesque Easy check in with programmed lock and plenty of instructions.

The home was perfect for multiple families! It was a great location on a quiet channel on Lake Norman. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, boat dock for our boat rental and the games inside the home made for fun evenings with family and friends!

Beautiful home
Home was amazing with plenty of room and fun for our entire family. Everything you needed was there and labeled/easy to find. Communication with owners was great and they provided lots of detailed instructions for their property. The owners did a great job of setting up their home for our arrival and helping us to feel welcome. Our kids loved all of the game options downstairs as well. My only advice is that this property has a very steep/quirky driveway as well as stairs that lead down to the home and more stairs that lead to the lake. This home is not for anyone that has mobility issues. The stairs were a beast for our family-but we probably lost several pounds and toned our legs during our stay! 😂

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lake house on Lake Norman. Spent a week there, quiet and cool with the surrounding trees. The game room with indoor games and the projection screen were great to have!

Amazing Lakefront Getaway
The property is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. But what really set this property apart was the host's hospitality. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and responsive throughout our stay, always making sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip to the fullest. Everyone had a wonderful time and I can't wait to stay here again!

Friends and I have rented multiple houses over the years and this one was great. So many small details that you often struggle with other rentals. Everything just worked... internet was great for a few of us to work, beds were comfortable, plenty of linens, small touches that really separated this house from others. Perfect for a Getaway, Celebration, or Both!
This was such a perfect, gorgeous, clean, fun, and very accommodating house that will exceed all of your vacation needs. Our group spent the weekend here to attend a close-by wedding, but we were also celebrating a birthday and the New Year that weekend, so although it was a fun weekend, it was also very hectic. Dana and Wayne made the entire process - from booking, to checking in, to checking out - so incredibly easy. Being hosted by them was truly a breath of fresh air. The house is even more beautiful in person and the view of the lake can't be justified by photos. It's large enough to give visitors the space that they need but also has very welcoming & cozy common spaces for gathering, in addition to the numerous games & activities offered. If you're reading this and you're the person booking this house for your group, you NEED to call dibs on the king bed and the stone shower with heated lamps. Book it now!

Thanksgiving Family Stay
My family had an great experience at this home on Lake Norman. We decided to gather the family for a destination Thanksgiving and this home provided everything we needed and more. The kitchen provided a full range of cooking and baking for the family. The downstairs entertainment room was perfect for the teenagers and family time. We did not use the lake, but the home offers recreational toys for the dock and water. The driveway and stairs were intimidating for some, as it is steep and awkward. On the top floor, the railing for the stairs conducive for toddlers. The home was in immaculate condition and the owner responded quickly to all of our questions. I highly suggest this property.

The view was awesome. Home was not adequately cleaned. Downstairs bathtub was not cleaned. The ad listed a two-car garage, but the instructions said not to park in the garage. The fireplaces were inoperable, and the supply of dishtowels and bath towels were insufficient.

Wonderful home for a small reunion
We had a wonderful weekend staying in this gorgeous and comfortable home. We easily fit 3 families for a total of 6 adults and 5 kids. Each family had their own bathroom and each adult couple had their own bedroom with a king or queen bed. We loved using the kayaks, stand up paddle board, PacMan arcade game, fire pit, grill, and well-appointed kitchen. The layout of the home was great—kiddos spent a lot of time playing on the lower level while grownups chatted and relaxed on the main floor. One word of caution: The steep driveway and the many steps from the driveway to the front door and from the house to the lake (mentioned by others in their reviews) are no joke.
