3/2 HEATED POOL HOME ON DEEP WATER CANAL

*The River Bungalow* - a 3 bedroom, 2 bath pool home on a deep water canal. A home with a large, heated, screened saltwater pool. Very comfortable house with a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of outdoor space, both inside and outside of the screen enclosure, to enjoy. Fun fishing right from the dock!

Home is well appointed. The kitchen is stocked for your visit with plenty to use.

The primary bedroom has a comfortable king bed, closet space for storage, separate bathroom with a shower, and a smart TV for streaming your favorite shows. This room has a door that leads to the backyard and pool area.

The second bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and a smart TV for streaming.

The second bathroom has a large vanity, tub/shower combo, and a toilet. It is located across from the second bedroom.

The third bedroom has a bunk - a full bed over a queen bed. A smart TV is also in this room. This room has a private door that leads to the screened-in pool area.

The living room has a large sectional couch, a recliner, and a large smart TV for streaming your favorite shows/movies. The living room has a view to the pool area with a sliding glass door that leads out to the screen enclosure area.

The large screen enclosed pool area is the best spot to relax. There is a roof the length of the first section, meaning even when it is raining or the sun is intense you can enjoy this area. This covered area has a dining table to enjoy outdoor meals at, and a set of chairs to enjoy around some lounging at. These areas provide spots to relax while watching the kids in the pool, talking with friends, or grilling your catch from the day.

Kayaks are available for use, as well as bicycles in the garage. If you love fishing, our location will suit your needs. The home is located on a deeper canal with Gulf access. A dock provides access to the water. You are welcome to bring your boat, there is a public boat launch for a small fee just one mile away. Local businesses also offer boats for rent. Great fishing is not far away, manatee viewing, and scalloping when it is in season!

There is a heater on the pool for a small extra charge. It will keep the pool a nice enjoyable temperature. We do accept pets to stay with you at The River Bungalow - up to two well behaved, house-trained pets are allowed for a pet fee.

Policy Reminders:
-We do NOT allow any events, parties or large gatherings at our location.
-Must be at least 25 years old to book
-No smoking/vaping inside the home and no smoking on the enclosed pool area
-Please respect quiet hours
-Parking in driveway only, no parking on grass areas or in the garage
-If you plan to bring your boat, space for one boat only at dock
-Pet friendly with fee
-This property features 1 exterior security camera facing the yard/driveway in the front of the home. The camera is outward facing only and for safety of the home.

We highly recommend purchasing trip/travel insurance when booking, especially during seasons where the weather can be unpredictable.

Location: Crystal River is a year round destination with great fishing. Manatees can be viewed in the winter and scalloping is available in the summer. Fabulous fishing just a short boat ride away to the Gulf. The home is close to Crystal River Archaeological State Park. There are also great golf courses nearby. We encourage you to come to relax and/or adventure while you enjoy the river life and make buckets of memories at The River Bungalow!

We didn’t want to leave!
This is the perfect balance of relaxing home/pool space for the kids (7&10 year old girls) combined with all the activities you could want for those of us that prefer to be on the move. Crystal Springs is an outdoor paradise with so much to see and do. This home was the very best base for us to accomplish everything we wanted to do. Then we could come home and play in the pool until we were ready to drop into very comfy beds!! The owner was awesome when I had a couple questions and answered them right away. We cannot imagine a better area to visit. We can’t wait to come back again!

We arrived about 6 weeks after Helene hit. Most places had at least 3' of water in them. Many nearby homes were still being remodeled. This home was spotless. Likely the cleanest rental I've ever used. Everything was as according to the listing. Excellent location. Great communication with host.

Best holiday home we ever stayed at
I can't describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in Crystal River! It was easily the best holiday home we ever stayed in. The house is incredibly well equipped and there was truly nothing more we could have wished for. Everything was beautifully furnished, clean, the beds and the couch were so comfy. Communication with the owner was very good. The heated pool was the best, especially because the outside temperatures weren't that hot in winter and we could enjoy the pool nevertheless (which we did a lot!). We loved the kayaks and explored the area with them. You can watch turtles from your own dock. One of our kids once insisted they saw a manatee, which is possible in theory, but I can't confirm it 100% ;) There's a lot to do in the area - definitely visit Three Sister Springs - it was crowded with manatees when we were there! And go on a tour to swim with the manatees too. It's such an amazing experience. When we come back to Crystal River, we'll definitely come back to your amazing house! Our last stay was magical but way too short!

Great Family Home with Crystal River Access
This was a great place to stay for our family of 4. We were super pleased with the home. It was comfy, with soft linens, blankets and towels - but it was the other little kid friendly details that made it such a wonderful place to stay for our family. From tons of pool towels, kayaks, crab trap and bikes outside to games and puzzles, and finally Disney+ access inside - it was truly kid friendly and made for an enjoyable stay. Home was clean and a great overall experience for us. We never needed to call the owner - everything was perfect!

Wonderful Waterfront/Pool Home - 5 stars!
We had a great time at this lovely waterfront home. It was perfect for our annual scalloping trip. The floating dock with bumpers is ideal for parking a boat, the canal is deep and there is easy access to the Gulf. We loved the screened in patio area with ample seating options, the firepit and a huge pool. The home is very clean, the kitchen is incredibly well-stocked, the beds are comfortable. The hosts were very responsive and have done a wonderful job of providing all the little things that make you feel at home. Having so many kayaks and bikes available is a huge plus - there is a lot to explore nearby. We've stayed in several vacation homes in the area, and this is our favorite. We hope to visit again next year!

Definitely recommend this house. We have stayed at this house the last 3 years. Vanessa is amazing and communicates quickly. House is great for family and friends. Dock for your boat. Pool to cool off in after scalloping or trips in a boat. House is always clean. Kitchen full and you can cook large meals. Plenty of room as outlined in the house description.

Family vacation
We had 7 ppl there with approval. My family enjoyed it all. The 10 yr old granddaughter super enjoyed the pool. She was in there morning and night. It was easy to find everything because it was labeled(genius idea). We cooked almost every night thanks to the grill. Love, love , love the decor and family room. If there was any downside, the little step down to the family room for us had us all tripping because we missed the step. The stay was wonderful and love the quiet neighborhood. As it turned out, we all needed that peace and quiet.

Another GREAT vacation!

Getaway
The rental was absolutely perfect in my mind The pool was the perfect temperature & so relaxing! I loved sitting on the bench watching the birds fly over the canal - I even caught a fish I took the kayaks out and spotted a dolphin I went running every day around the 7 mile nature loop and saw all kinds of wild animals The location was phenomenal I topped off the vacation with a manatee swim. When I am back in Crystal River, I definitely plan to rent this house again - phenomenal 10 out of 10!

This property was fantastic!
The house and surrounding areas were perfect for boating, fishing, and snorkeling. The property was very clean and full of great amenities. The dock was perfect for a sizeable boat and the kyaks were a great addition. The location of the canal outlet onto the main river was very convenient and is about halfway between the Gulf and the springs upriver. We will definitely be booking this property again.

We loved the home. Plenty of room for all 6 of us. The kids loved the pool. We ate all meals outside. We rode bikes to the archeological center just around the corner, we kayaked and saw an alligator and a turtle. If we ever head that way again we would choose this home.

Wonderfully Pleasant Property and Stay
The River Bungalow combines functionality with personal touch to make for the most comfortable stay. The house is so easy to settle into and be comfortable. The list of check out items is simple and undaunting. Our family of five visited Crystal River for Spring Break. Our three daughters range in age from 7-18, and this was the perfect destination to find something for everyone. The house afforded ample space to spread out but also an intimate space to forge family bonds and create lasting memories together - something I’m craving more and more as these moments with my soon off to college daughter are fleeting. We enjoyed swimming with the manatees, kayaking down the canal to the river, swimming in the pool, cooking meals together, and exploring some of the local restaurants and shops. We had one rain day, and the Florida Aquarium in Tampa was an easy drive to fill it. Hunter Springs, Fort Island Beach, and Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park provided sights we don’t get in our home beach community in North Carolina. Vanessa was a wonderful host who communicated with us with ease. She prepared her home to anticipate so many of our needs. Extra blankets, plenty of towels, kayaks, bikes, and even toys and treats for the dog were easily found when we arrived. I am so appreciative of all the effort put into this home, and it certainly increases its value. Highly recommend as we would absolutely return, and the bar for a rental has been set high.

The house was very clean, and really enjoyed our stay. The home is well stocked, and the pool was great. Only complaint I would have is the step down into the living room, in which I fell. Need to have some type of warning, and the blinds which are broken should be replaced. Other that those 2 issues the place was great, and I would stay again

We loved the house. Very clean. Launched kayaks from dock in backyard daily. Host thought of small details that made our stay stress and hassle free such as extra propane tanks for the patio fire pit, stocked spices and even several first aid kits.
