❤️1937 Cabin near Lake Glenville - 50 Acre Estate - Private Hike & Views! 10⭐️

Our 1937 Cabin located near Lake Glenville has been completely renovated top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Everything new!!! Very private on 50 acre estate and the only rental on our property with great access to Lake Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Level entry, no steps!!! Gorgeous 1 Bedroom with a new queen bed, luxury linens, Lexington nightstand, small antique round side table, bench, small custom closet and Regina Andrew lighting, 1 Bath with Ronbow vanity, slate tiles on floor, tiled shower with glass door and a fully stocked kitchen. Gray custom kitchen cabinets and large island with microwave and granite countertops, glass top stove with double ovens and counterdepth fridge with bottom freezer drawer. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER or garbage disposal.

The washer and dryer is located in the pantry area. There is wood flooring throughout the cabin except bathroom’s slate tile. 65” Sony new smart TV mounted in living area above Restoration Hardware console. Mounted TV pulls out and swivels for best viewing. Direct TV , Netflix set up, Wi-Fi and Landline are included.

Two covered porches with large screened porch in back, all furnished with outdoor seating, tables, cushions and rocking chairs. Porches and walkway have red oak flooring. Private driveway and close, level parking . The fire pit area has a stone bench and two black Adirondack chairs with a custom firewood structure, plenty of firewood, kindling and starters. The 1937 Cabin has an automated full house generator. Elevation 3900! There is a hike on the property that is offered to our two guests staying at the cabin. It is 1/2 mile uphill the whole way and there is 300 feet that would be considered a strenuous hike with the most gorgeous views! Elevation 4300! We have planted 4000 rhododendrons, mostly purple on the property and they are planted all the way to the top!


We are located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville, 2.8 miles from public Lake Glenville boat ramps, 3 miles to Pines Recreation Area with beach and picnic area overlooking Lake Glenville, 8.3 miles to Cashiers and 14 miles to Highlands.

Many nearby hikes in the area with Yellow Mountain, High Falls and Whiteside Mountain being very popular. Lots of info in the cabin welcome guide about hikes, waterfalls and restaurants.

Loved the house and all the little extra amenities added to make us feel like special guests! All the decor was beautiful. Hike on property was nice, enjoyed s’mores at the fire pit. It is far from highlands but that was noted when I booked. Only complaint would be us Floridians aren’t experienced on these snaky roads as everyone passed us by! lol wonderful place to enjoy a weekend getaway! Thanks for sharing!

This place is absolutely spectacular. The pictures don’t do it any justice. Super clean inside and out. It’s the perfect place to stay for a getaway. If I could rate it higher I would. I wish I could keep it secret
This is one of those places I would selfishly like to keep secret but that would be unfair. This is a lovely little cottage. The hosts are very welcoming. Feels wonderful from the second you walk in the door. Selina does an excellent job of sharing information about the surrounding area. I really wish I could have enjoyed the cute screened porch, but an early cold snap prevented that. But we were nice and snug inside.

We really needed to unplug and this was the place! The home and property are absolutely beautiful. Selina & John have definitely gone the extra mile to make their guests very comfortable. Super close proximity to the lake - and just a short drive into Cashiers. Morning coffee on the screened in porch was Heaven! We enjoyed a camp fire on our last night, and wished we had done it every night - where can you be outside for a couple hours from twilight to well past dark, where you aren't chewed up by mosquitos, or other no-see-ums? We never got bit once in over 2 hours! The hike up the mountain was a workout, but very much worth it - fantastic views and plenty of space to enjoy a toast to celebrate the accomplishment. I can imagine how breathtaking the views must be in the fall. Thank you for a refreshing week!

Beautiful home and amazing attention to detail
Stop your search, you found the perfect spot. As a host myself I can tell when someone is doing it just as a business or because it's their passion. This home is clearly a passion project. Incredible quality (front gate towels, snacks and drinks and fully stocked kitchen for cooking) this is the perfect getaway. If you stay here you won't regret it.

We booked this property to celebrate a significant birthday and could not have chosen a more perfect spot. This cabin is well appointed and thoughtfully designed. It was the best decision to book this property, from the cozy kitchen and living space to the bedroom and screened porch. The firepit was well stocked with wood. If you do the hike, it’s steep but worth it. A great way to get your exercise in! Thanks Selina for making our stay memorable.

This is a special place. Such a private and relaxing property, we didn’t want to leave. The cabin and surrounding landscape are just beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is thoughtfully appointed. It is obvious that the owners took great care designing the cabin. So many special touches and amenities to enjoy. Great shower pressure, comfy bed with luxury linens. Sipping coffee on the lovely screened in porch in the morning to the firepit and smores in the evening. The onsite hike to amazing views was awesome. The hosts were very responsive and helpful in suggesting local restaurants and points of interest. We were very satisfied with their recommendations.

High-style cabin for a perfect mountain trip. Concierge-level appointments and service. Cabin has been completely renovated top to bottom with all the modern appliances yet with a touch of antiques. I would give 6 star rating if I could. This place it the absolute best in the area. Host is attentive and has the unit in pristine condition for the arrival of the guest. No cost spared in furnishing and equipping this unit. Fluffy towels, great shower, and amazingly comfortable bed. The hike has a finishing view that makes all the hard work walking up there well worth it. Highly recommend!!!

Serenity at its finest
We couldn’t have been more impressed and satisfied with our stay in Cullowhee. Our hostess, Selina, went above and beyond what any client would expect. Her attention to detail in every regard was superior. The smallest details were considered and most appreciated. The property was so finely manicured, we were amazed. Freshly cut roses in the bathroom, finest towels I have ever used, snacks and s’mores for the outdoor fire. Selina was incredibly helpful and responsive on all matters. I don’t think you could find a better hostess. The cabin was PERFECT for an adult couple getaway. So peaceful, so tranquil, and so beautifully located in the Blue Ridge mountains. Selina literally thought of everything, even those we may have overlooked. Soft music and decor greeted us upon our arrival. Highly recommend this property.

Calling all Western Carolina visitors!
Beautiful property 30 minutes away from campus. This one-bedroom cabin is convenient to campus, but also a great get-away. The host has thought of every detail- most importantly, the s’mores fixin’s and fire pit supplies. Beautifully updated and fully provisioned. Immaculately clean. Can’t-recommend strongly enough!
