We are excited to be welcoming visitors in our our new place! Appalachian splendor abounds!!!

Interior of this luxurious Mountain Home boasts 2 master suites with king beds, another bedroom with trundle bed (can be converted to king or two singles) ceiling fans, tv’s, linens, towels, beach towels for pool and river, covered patio with lighted ceiling fan, outdoor wood burning fireplace, small outdoor gas grill.

Enjoy long range mtn views, world class trout fishing, tubing, kayaking rafting and world class hiking abounds, best brisket restaurant east of Texas, great location on 5 miles from WCU. Mountain golf abounds, including nearby Sequoias National in Cherokee and ten more (see list in photos) horseback riding, antiquing and nearby Cherokee Reservation and Casino. Several nearby mountain lakes, boat rentals including pontoon rentals on nearby Lake Glenville. Several local breweries and brewery tours, mushroom foraging, waterfalls, Blue Ridge Parkway, farmers markets. Bryson City only 19 miles, Cherokee even closer, ski Cataloochee in nearby Maggie Valley!

Exceptional stay
We have rented in the Sundrops community before and had admired this rental from the outside. This was the perfect rental for our family of four and a fur baby. Eloquently decorated, spacious rooms, well stocked kitchen, and the location is perfect (near the club house and Caney Fork). Thank you for providing a wonderful stay for us!

We did very much enjoy our stay. There is no bunkbed room, which threw me off, but the house sleeps eight and we were able to make it work. The host were quick to respond to questions. It was very convenient to Western Carolina. The views are incredible. I really enjoyed it and we will be booking again.

Very relaxing atay
My husband and I loved staying at this tucked away gem of a property, and will definitely return again. The beautiful and serene neighborhood is keeps you feeling close to nature with the creek and walking path. The rooms were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. We were able to get to the Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Bryson City easily. There is ample fishing around and the pool looked well maintained. We loved our stay, and so did our dogs.

Great place!
We stayed here for a wedding nearby and had a wonderful girls trip! The house was just what we needed, and my dog really enjoyed the trails across the street. Really appreciated the owners’ dog friendly pet policy! Wading in the river, views of the mountains, gorgeous fall leaves, close proximity to Ladyhawke Castle were all pluses! We were a little disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working, but not fault of the property owner.

Best view in Cullowhee
This was our first VRBO rental. I was so nervous. The house, host, cleanliness and community exceeded our expectations. Our son will be going to school at WCU so we be back but even if he wasn’t we would absolutely make this our new family vacation rental. I can’t put into words what a amazing location and overall experience this rental was. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Lovely Home
This home was truly lovely and very well appointed. Everything we needed was ready and waiting including some firewood for the outdoor fire place and gas for the grill. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood path down to the creek and sitting out under the covered patio. The only draw back for this property is that it is a duplex in a neighborhood - although the landscaping helps, there is limited privacy and no "woodsy" feel outside of the unit. That being said, of all the rentals I have stayed in this was by far the most comfortable and thoughtfully supplied. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice peaceful retreat
The owners and neighbors were extremely helpful and nice. We stayed there for a business/vacation spot for the week. The location offers beautiful views and access to a private part of the river. The community is a private gated community that offers a lot of amenities for the family to stay busy. The owners and neighbor were very helpful with our fishing adventure. Eventually we will end up going back to try to get some more fish and explore more of the area! Lots to do but just not enough time.

Exceeded Expectations
Our family visited here to watch our son play in a college baseball tournament. All of the hotels in town were sold out and boy did I get lucky to find this treasure. It was a luxurious mountain cabin which exceeded all of our expectations. Jim was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. He even pointed my family to the best trout fishing spots in the area when the baseball series was rained out. We will definitely be returning, and not just for baseball!!

Family Reunion
It was an easy drive in and out of the community and the locations was so close to our reunion site. The house was very cozy and felt like home. It was well stock w linens as well as cooking supplies (pots, pans etc) enabling us to cook to help feed our family. Loved having the walking track on the premises. We definitely hope to spend another vacation in this unit. Thanks to J and L for being so hospitable.

I didn’t want to leave!
This house was perfect for us! Such a QUIET neighborhood and the view of the mountain was breath taking. I did not want to leave! My husband and I and my son and his wife stayed here for a family wedding in the area. The house was so well maintained and equipped! It had more kitchen utensils than we have in our home…and excellent quality. The furnishings were beautiful and comfortable! The beds were wonderful with high quality linens. We enjoyed the front and back porches. It was even cool enough one morning and we made a fire in the back porch wood burning fireplace. So nice! The outside was just as pretty as the inside. We appreciated all the flowers and plants and well maintained yard. Your Attention to detail was amazing! Thank you for providing such a lovely home away from home. We have never been to Cullowhee before, but I might come back just so I can stay in your house again!
