La tranquillité de la cabine au bord du lac

Cette propriété est située sur 2 acres et demi avec cent cinquante pieds de rive du lac. La cabine se trouve à seulement 600 pieds du lac! Le porche couvert de la cabine est relié à une terrasse enveloppante surplombant la cour et le lac.

Ceci est un plan d'étage ouvert avec la salle de bain principale et la chambre principale (lit queen) située au premier étage. Il y a une demi-salle de bain située sur le loft au 2ème étage qui contient un autre lit queen et deux lits jumeaux. Le loft dispose également d'un coin salon donnant sur la cour et la rive du lac.

La cuisine a des appareils en acier inoxydable et un îlot recouvert de granit, ce qui en fait l'environnement idéal pour cuisiner et se divertir! Vos invités apprécieront de s'asseoir sur l'île pour manger, jouer à des jeux ou participer à la cuisine tandis que d'autres invités se prélasseront dans la salle à manger ou le salon en profitant de la vue!

Ever feel like you’re being watched??
We drove 21 hours to this spot to be there for my daughter’s wedding! It was booked for us 6 adults to stay the night, and we had our 4 children with us that would be staying with my daughter that lives in Minnesota. We expected for them to visit during the day and leave at night. The first night was great, the next morning I get a call asking about all of the extra people visiting?! Saying that we only booked the house for 6 no one else was allowed on the property unless we talked to her about it first. We weren’t partying or being loud. We were all just enjoying each others company. Another thing we got asked about was why we were bringing all of this food in the house?? We have to eat!!! So just be warned she has a camera on the front of the house and she watches your every move! The house was beautiful and nice it was in a quiet spot, but if you’re there to swim or be close to the lake you better find another spot because the water is not readily accessible.

Cute little getaway!
The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. The home was very cute on the inside and very cozy. Lots of places to relax, clean and organized kitchenware, and even a firestick to watch TV! Dan was very kind and met us when we arrived, as he was replacing the propane on the grill for us and taking care of the home. The lake is very pretty and there is a canoe with paddles and life jackets for guests to use. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

Hope you found the cabin in good order after our departure on Saturday, 7/29/2023. The cabin was ideal for our stay with the loft providing an area that the Grandkids could call their own. A few comments that hopefully you will find helpful relative to the cabin rental. Not all of the outlets were functional. There were no instructions for the TV. Also think some of the batteries in the remotes needed replacing. We do understand that if the TV’s worked, streaming was needed. The lighting in the master was lacking – one bed lamp did not work (missing knob) and the bulb in the overhead fan did not work. The grill was not used. It appeared that it was somewhat disassembled. The access to the lake and the water off the dock was very disappointing. Honestly if we had known the condition the area was in we would not have rented the cabin. We had two teenagers and 2 – 10 year olds all are avid swimmers and one is a kayak enthusiast. Needless to say somewhat disappointed. Not sure why having a waterfront cabin with no clear accessibility or view of the water. Now I understand why there was no photo of the waterfront.

Perfect Getaway
The house is fully stocked with everything we needed, including a well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds and a great gas grill on the deck. The deck! The huge wraparound deck was where we spent the majority of our time. It overlooks the beautiful yard and lake. While there are neighbors, you'd never know it. We felt like we had our own secluded oasis all week.

Cabin on East Leaf
My daughter, my sister and her daughter and I had a wonderful girls' weekend at the cabin! It was very comfortable, cozy and the Northwoods decor was very welcoming. The kitchen was enjoyable to use and well stocked. The wrap around porch was amazing. Communication with the owner was great and check in was effortless and so convenient. We appreciated all the attention to detail that the cabin offers. Thank you, Dan & Marnie, for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!

Wonderful cabin - lovely owners.
My son and I had a WONDERFUL TIME at Dan and Marnie's cabin. We cooked a lot in the well-appointed kitchen, hung out and played cards by the cozy pellet stove, and enjoyed the wooded stillness by the lake. All in all, just a great stay. We hope to be back!

We had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery that surrounded the cabin and soaked in the summer heat as we paddled on the lake! Nothing was missing and we will definitely be back again!

Rest and relaxation, much needed vacation.

Beautifully decorated, Peaceful and Private.
We loved the property, the cabin super cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed alot of time on the front deck with a beautiful view of the lake. The front deck, though no covering is nicely shaded by the beautiful trees. The birds are plentiful all through the trees. We saw Eagles, Hawks, Blue Heron, Ducks and many other smaller birds that serenaded us with their conversations and song. Dan and Marnie could not be any friendlier and were great help to us when we lost power for a day due to a local transformer repair. They own a general store and restaurant in near by Ottertail where we visited and enjoyed some shopping and wonderful scones and coffee. All in all a wonderful place! We would just like to mention a few things that did disappoint us a bit just to help others in their future stay. Though the listing includes TV, there is no service to the TV. If you want to use the TV you need to bring a HDMI compatible device to stream your own. There is a Blue Ray DVD player also to use and some DVDs provided. There is no washer/dryer on the premises. The Fire pit is not visible from the cabin. It is very nice with plenty of seating however behind a grove of trees and down at the lake. The lake is very low and marshy, we were not able to get the canoe out of the area it rested in. Younger more adventurous people who are not afraid of wading in the marsh and muck probably could though. Beautiful Property, Thankyou Dan and Marnie!

Cute, comfy getaway
Quiet, restful and comfortable, this cabin made a lovely home base for a long weekend exploring the area. There are state parks for hiking, beautiful vistas, and small towns to explore. My sisters and I enjoyed the small touches in the cabin that gave it personality. VRBO did not list the lock-box code for the key so we were relieved when we called the owner and got an answer. Be sure to get that before you go.

Beautiful view from lake cabin
The property was great. Enjoyed a couple of late summer afternoons on the dock watching the eagles, loons and fish jumping among the cattails and lilypads. The water level was too low to get out with the canoe given the drought. Cabin had everything we needed for a getaway. The Internet was too spotty to stream anything - so got lots of reading in. Good experience beyond that.

A Northern Getaway Gem
This cabin is all about the quaint, homey details. Everywhere you turn, there's a creative reminder that you're up north surrounded by nature. Furniture is constructed out of white pines, feathers line a living room lampshade, and the walls are decorated with dragonfly towel hooks, fishing lures and maps of the area's lakes. But my favorite detail of all was the antler used as a toilet paper holder -- ingenious! The creative aesthetic complemented the cabin perfectly, and the place was so clean and well-kept that it felt brand new. My boys and I felt right at home and couldn't spend enough time gazing out at the lake through the two-story wall of windows. The view from the loft, especially, is absolutely stunning. The wall of "logs" reaching to the roof added to the local flavor of the cabin, and we enjoyed movie nights with the Roku, thanks to the wi-fi. We played football and baseball in the expansive yard and spent time down at the dock overlooking the (bit dry but still relaxing) lake. Ours was a five-star stay at this gem of a cabin -- thank you!
