Will never stay at a La Quinta hotel again
This hotel is in major need of a renovation. Carpets have the smell of urine, the elevators are very unreliable and the overall condition of the hotel is poor. In addition, my wife had a custom designed bracelet taken from our room. Our first room the toilet did not work and we were told that we would be relocated to another room later in the day. We had a do not disturb placard on our door so that no one would come in until we are ready to move to the new room. Wow! We were away from the room. Housekeeping came in and made up the bed and provided new towels. This is very obvious that someone came in the room while we were gone. Athis point that my wife noticed that bracelet was missing. We reported the incident to the front desk. They said that they are very confident that none of their staff would have taken the bracelet. We searched the room twice to see if the bracelet may have been misplaced but we were unsuccessful in locating the bracelet. I even offered a $200 reward with no questions asked if the bracelet were returned. This hotel has a large number of homeless around it and at times it is unsafe to walk outside. Our overall experience at this hotel was not acceptable. We did file a police report and I contacted Wyndham hotels to tell them of the incident. I am still awaiting a response to find out if anything will be done to reimburse us for either our hotel stay or reimbursement for the cost of the bracelet. Overall, this was a very disappointing visit to Denver.
