The cabin itself was beautiful, and the views were truly amazing. It was a lovely setting for our family Thanksgiving getaway.Unfortunately, we did experience several issues during our stay. Upon arrival, the door keypad was not functioning. When we contacted the host, they asked if we planned to leave the cabin and whether we wanted someone to come out to fix it. We confirmed that we would be leaving and requested that it be addressed. However, no one arrived the following day. After a follow-up call from my husband, we were told someone would come at a specific time, but when we returned later that day, the lock still had not been repaired. Because the door could not be secured, some family members had to stay behind while others went into town, as we did not feel comfortable leaving the cabin unlocked.In addition, we were surprised to learn that the fireplace could not be used unless temperatures were below 30 degrees and only during the months of December through March. Although we were visiting in November for Thanksgiving and the temperature dropped to 28 degrees, we were still unable to use the fireplace. A fireplace is a significant part of the cabin experience, and this policy may be worth reconsidering.We also found the hot tub to be unclean and did not feel comfortable using it.
