Southern Porch Charmer - Walk to Downtown Main Street and Waterfront!

Take a break, unwind and enjoy the peaceful double column porches and charming southern architecture. Private back deck and yard for play and relaxation. The home provides a large kitchen with open den for enjoying time together, as well as, a formal dining room and living room parlor. Master bedroom with full bath on first floor and two bedrooms, full bath and private office on second floor. Washer and dryer at your disposal.
The entire 3 bedroom 2 full bath property, the beautiful wraparound southern style front porch, back deck and partially fenced private yard with coded entrance is your home away from home. Your host is just a phone call or message away for all your needs. Please feel free to reach out for anything, your calls and texts are always welcome! We are local, so we will make every effort to answer you questions and accommodate your requests.
You will be just a couple minutes walk to Main Street shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Also, Edenton's historic movie theater and stunning sunsets on the waterfront! Park in your private driveway and enjoy your time exploring historic Edenton, named “The Prettiest Small Town in the South.”

Return To Edenton

I was in Edenton for a class months ago and promised myself to come back with my girlfriend. I did exactly that on Valentines Day, our fourth anniversary of togetherness. Having a clean, comfortable, spacious place to stay the following weekend enabled us to tour the town and sample its cuisine. Although the downstairs bed had been too soft for us and we had concern about the wobbly downstairs dining room table and upstairs toilet, none of this we felt significantly detracted from the “prettiness”, convenience, and charm of the place big enough for two adult couples, with or without pets. We planned to come back.

Nice location for walks to downtown, waterfront and historic Edenton locations. Alway check for this location when staying in Edenton. Pet Friendly with fence in backyard.

Small flaw with entry lock. But problem resolved quickly. Did not drink coffee I brewed in coffee machine. There was a bug that was poured out. I’m sure bugs are common a everywhere. But otherwise an awesome place to stay.

Edenton Charm

JaymeLynn is a fabulous host! The house has a wonderful place to be with all the amenities to make you feel right at home—an easy walk to the historic downtown. The home is in a nice quiet residential neighborhood making it easy to relax after a busy day.

Very Pleasant Cottage in Historic District

Easy to walk to downtown and a large number of historic properties from this location. The cottage is well kept, clean, and convenient. Accurate description of sleeping arrangements. Only caveat- like most houses of this age, HVAC is an issue. The upstairs bedrooms have on-wall units (not in-wall, on-wall) that blow cold air, and that helps cool, and multiple fans are provided in closets. But it could still most likely get pretty warm in summer, upstairs. Max temp during our stay was mid-seventied, and it felt stuffy upstairs. Not bad, but not like home, either. I would go back most months, though.

Disappointing

The host never got back to us, when we first arrived there were things we could not find, we called Jamielynn she never got back to us. when we were leaving this morning the door would not lock, I called her twice and texted her several times, at 9am it is now 5:30 pm and I just call her again, about the door not locking. I still haven't heard from her :{ I called Vrbo contact 800 202 4291 which is the only contact # I have for them and was told I was using a wrong #. It is terrible not being able to get in contact with anyone. There is no outside sitting the yard is not nice, the neighborhood not the nicest part of town, when you sit on the toilet your elbows touch the walls making it difficult well, to do you know what. (no we are not over sized, My husband is 5'11 and 165, I'm 4'11 125. The house itself is very cute, and pretty clean, but no ticking on the pillows, and no mattress cover, As for us we will not .

The house has the perfect location to walk to everything. The host was exceptional. We had an unexpected illness with my father and had to extend it stay. The host was so considerate. I would highly recommend this house and any property this offers!

Wonderful Galentine’s Weekend!

Jayme’s house was perfect from the minute we arrived, until the minute we left. The house was clean, comfortable, and charming! Jayme was the best hostess and made sure all of our needs were met throughout our entire trip. The extra snacks and beverages were a wonderful touch. I would not hesitate to return in the future!

Impeccable Charm

This home away from home was everything needed and so much more. Attention to detail unparalleled, but with all of the modern conveniences. Loved that all of charm of the original home was preserved. The owner was very responsive to all communications and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. I hope to return to Edenton in the spring and will definitely book this home again.

The perfect house

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home in downtown edenton. We were in town for a birthday getaway, and upon arrival the wonderful host Jayme Lynn had decorations and cupcakes to make us feel special. The home is beautifully laid out with a huge kitchen, living room den and 3 bedrooms 2 baths. Felt like we were in a southern home magazine ❤️ The home is walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants, which we loved. The bedrooms were extremely clean and cozy, and after a fun night out with dinner and drinks it was so relaxing to take a steaming hot shower and get right in the comfortable bed. Me and all my guests (5 of us) had plenty of room to spread out throughout the house and will definitely be booking again for all of our edenton trips. Such a gem and we really felt like our host took the extra step in making her property a memorable one to her guests, oh and did I mention she had snacks and drinks for us? I mean we didn’t want to leave!!

We did have a category 1 hurricane during our stay but found our house cozy and secure! We did what was opened in town, took trolly tour and ate out despite the weather. Everything about the house, including live bouquets of flowers was to our liking. We would love to commend the owners on making this home available and making it a pleasure to stay in.

Great location and Great house

We truly enjoyed our stay. Each morning we walked around town enjoying the historical sights and beautiful homes. The house is located just a short walk from great coffee shop bakery and fantastic restaurants. The house itself was very comfortable. Even with the summer temperatures we had no issues with the heat due to the numerous ac units and fans.The bathrooms and kitchen have been beautifully redone. The house was very comfortable size and had everything we wanted. The house definitely contributed to our love of Edenton. Highly recommend for couples or families and really loved we could bring our Golden along as well. thank you for a great weekend.
