BEWARE of Blue Sky Cabin Rentals
I am not one to leave reviews, however feel compelled to warn others about our bad experience with Blue Sky Cabin Rentals property management company. The kitchen sink was clogged, the toilet tank in the guest room had to be filled with water manually to flush, the mouse we saw in the kitchen ate a whole through our bag. The worst of it all was the master bed being broken in half. The only king bed was broken when we arrived, the boards underneath were all broken and therefore the entire middle was sunken in and not usable. We called a couple times per day and were promised a call back from upper management that did not happen until the day after we checked out. The folks answering the phone seemed nice so we thought this would be made right when we got to speak to a manager. However that was not the case. I was told by an unempathetic manager that the broken bed was not their fault, these things happen, the bed must have gave way between the time the housekeepers left and before we arrived. And that 10% of our stay being reimbursed was “fair”. We stayed 3 nights since we got snowed in, 10% off when the master bed was broken beyond being usable is not reasonable. I was pretty upset and told her this is unacceptable. They called back after bringing it to a 4th tier of management and left a voice mail saying that 25% off is their “final offer”. We feel taken advantage and hope to prevent anyone else from going through this. Please beware of this horrible property management company that is not willing to take responsibility. If you encounter an issue, do not wait on a manager to contact you until after you check out, but contact VBRO while you are still checked in b/c that is the only way they are able to help. What should have been a fun last min weekend in the snowy mountains turned into a time suck of negative feelings and feeling grossly taken advantage of in the end. We would have never booked knowing the king bed was out of service, and feel duped. The basement did not get above 65 degrees at night so we were not able to sleep down there with our 2 children 2 years old and younger. And the guest room main level has to have the fire on the screen in order for the hot air to come out, which meant sleeping in a lighted room - We are accustomed to sleeping in dark, so it was not ideal for kids. I have a feeling we're not the first and unfortunately will not be the last for Blue Sky Cabin Rentals to take advantage of. BEWARE!
