Big Bay cabin is your perfect rural bay view escape! Pet-friendly, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home nestled among the serene landscapes of Humboldt Bay. Conveniently located, this home is just 5 minutes to Old Town Eureka and 15 minutes to Downtown Arcata. Big Bay cabin is peaceful getaway with its simple, rustic and inviting atmosphere. The large picture windows windows in the living room provide an eloquent vista of Humboldt Bay and the surrounding wetlands. A perfect nest for big families and groups of friends looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. While the views may appear close, the home is perched on a hill and is not walking distance to nearby trails or Humboldt Bay. You will be able to drive to the vast majority of outdoor and town attractions of Arcata and Eureka are within 10 - 20 minutes, and less than an hour to Redwood National and State and Parks.

Inside, you'll find a warm and comfortable living space with wood paneling and warm decor that exudes a nostalgic charm. The open floorplan living area is bathed in natural light, thanks to the expansive windows that showcase the stunning scenery. The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals, a gas stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher and fully stocked with basic kitchen amenities and the adjacent dining area is ideal for enjoying them with loved ones.

The cabin features three cozy bedrooms, each designed to provide a restful night's sleep. Downstairs, there is 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds, and 1 bedroom with 1 queen bed, as well as 1 full bathroom. Upstairs, there is 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds with a trundle style frame, 1 full size futon in the common area, and 1 bedroom with a queen bed and attached full bathroom. The main living area is downstairs with a small den/common space upstairs. Outside, sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as you take in the tranquil views of the bay from the front porch, or enjoy time on the back patio using the propane grill and seating area.

Close to town yet in the country setting. Quiet, lots of kitchen tools, wonderful showers. Would have liked better marking at street to find driveway, bright colored post or something. Big front windows that gave a wide view of sunsets and bay.

The lower bedroom has a vent that only blast freezing cold air. Can not read in any of the chairs in the house, not enough table lamps. Be sure to bring firewood none supplied. Not enough seats in front room. Dining table to high with poor lighting, making game/ card playing not possible. Kitchen supplies not of very good quality and not enough basic cooking stuff; ie spices, oil, foil etc.

Serene Getaway Spot
We had a wonderful, serene time at this lovely house on the periphery of Eureka. This is the perfect spot to relax in between day trips to the redwood forests or window-shopping in town. The house is set back from the road which keeps it quiet inside, and the house has all the amenities for daily living. Internet worked great, and we were able to stream our favorite channels with a very decent cable TV plan. Best of all (for dog lovers), the house is dog friendly, and our pooch had one of his best vacations ever while we could enjoy him, too!

Outstanding Location
The location of this house is awesome! You can "see" the north end of the bay and you are out in the country! The house was comfortable for 8 people. Minor drawbacks: 1) If you want to be able to cook eggs, bring your own skillet. 2) Bring your own Toilet Paper, Paper Towels/Napkins and Zip Lock bags. 3) The hot water pipes upstairs vibrate and make an awful racket. 4) The downstairs bathroom pocket door screeches when you pull it closed. Those are minor issues! All in all the house is very spacious, comfortable and a great location.

I was worried to have 4 dogs all together but there's enough room for everyone! No fenced in yard but our dogs didn't need them. Teens had their own space and loved it! Seriously we had no need. Will be doing this again summertime this year!

Great Place and Location to Explore RedWoods National and State Parks
This place was used for us to sleep because our plan was to be most of the day at National Park, after long day of exploration this place was perfect to come and rest, pictures are accurate and the views from the living room are amazing, you can see the ocean and the forest plus green landscape. Very close from market and the location is just very relaxing. Lots of space for parking. Very recommended. Saturday was our last day, it rain at night, weather was a bit cold, so having a chimney was a plus, listening to rain in the living room with the bonfire was a great experience.

A lovely home
We had a great time! The house is set back on its own. Which I always love. There's a nice little yard for the kids to play. It's nowhere near the street so you don't have to worry about that. The only downside is there's no bathtub. So the kiddos have to shower. But the shower upstairs is epic! We will definitely try to stay here again.

Beautiful property
This property is beautiful. Lots of beds and rooms for sleeping. Property was on a hill so you could see the bay in the distance. Quiet and very peaceful with a good entertainment package for the kids to snuggle up and watch a movie.

Comfortable and spacious house with a lovely view.
Six adults and two children enjoyed Arcata and Eureka while staying in this very comfortable house. The view over the marshes is really lovely and being set back from the road ensures peace and quiet. The house is spacious and the beds comfortable. Everything worked fine. The only caveat was the large bedroom on the ground floor (2 queen beds) didn’t have any heat (no vents). The manager kindly delivered a portable heater which helped. But, because of the very cold weather, the room never really got warm.
