Hummingbird House (Unit B)

Come relax in this cozy studio duplex located in a quiet neighborhood in central Flagstaff. It is a short walk to beautiful forest trails and a city park. Stay in and enjoy the views of Mount Elden from the back patio, or take a short 5-10 minute drive to our downtown for great dinning and shopping. There is a larger unit attached to this one. The units share the driveway/backyard/patio furniture. The entry door to this unit is located on the back patio.
The space
This Flagstaff duplex has beautiful views of Mount Elden and is less than a mile from public forest access, with trails that take you all around our beautiful ponderosa and juniper pine forest. Stay in, relax, and watch the stars while sitting in the backyard or head downtown for a night out. If you are traveling with kids or play tennis, we have a park that is a 2 minute walk from the house. Please note the backyard/patio are shared with the adjoining duplex.

Guests have access to the complete interior of Duplex B, the back yard area, and front yard
Other things to note
Quiet time starts at 9pm. This will be enforced and NO PARTIES are allowed. Guests are expected to clean up the shared outdoor space and be courteous to other guests.

At night there is a globe string light that turns on when it gets dark. You will be able to see it from the street and will guide you to the apartment entrance. Turns off around 12:30am.

During the COVID pandemic we will be cleaning with bleach and other disinfectants.

I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists
I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

Directions to forest trails near the house for walking or driving are as follows:
Go north on North Manor toward the mountain.
Turn right on Linda Vista.
Turn left on North Fanning
Turn right on North St Mortiz.
The entrance to the trails are on the right side of the street in between two no parking signs. You can park on the street just not in front of the forest access. Enjoy!

Unexpected deposit
Cute; comfy; well-stocked. Before I could reserve the space, I had to either purchase damage insurance, or put down a sizeable deposit. This requirement wasn’t advertised in the listing (unless I was very oblivious during my initial read-through and when I went back to double-check). For that reason, I would not stay here again. Now I’m just waiting to get my deposit back…

Good Deal
We stayed a week. The frig really needs to be upgraded. The listing is accurate but the frig is too small for that long of a stay, we could not keep a weeks worth of food in it. We had to go back to the store multiple trips. Also, it freezes things in the frig section. Another issue was there were a couple different people who stayed in the house attached to our studio apartment over the week. They did not abide by the quiet hours and were doing laundry after hours which you can definitely hear. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment, we generally left very early, before dawn, and came home near dusk. It's definitely small, but again accurate listing. If you are someone who likes some space, this would not be the place. But it is a good deal for what you get. Like other reviewers said, it gets the job done. It's a great location to explore really cool stuff N - E - S-W. Communication was excellent. I rated it a little lower on cleanliness because I found somethings that I felt should have been noticed and cleaned in-between tenants. Nothing was a deal breaker, just giving you a heads up. We were grateful for the place to stay. Cool that it is right at the base of a mountain too. It could not fit a third person, so a said before a quait place for two. Enjoy!

Small but gets the job done
Good neighborhood, easy access to restaurants/stores. It was a good distance to Grand Canyon and Sedona. It was tiny! But it definitely gets the job done and had everything we needed. Only issue we had was the cleanliness of it. There was lots of dust everywhere which triggered my dust allergy.

The interior of this property is up to date and quite nice. The exterior of the property is unkempt and very weedy. It would have been nice to have some instructions for the television. We could not figure out how to watch TV

Perfect for the weekend
This space was perfect for a little weekend getaway in the snow! The studio space had everything I needed to make food there, wifi worked well, and heater was great because it was chilly! Driveway was also paved and snow was cleared in walkways which I appreciated as it snowed quite a bit during my stay.

Great space for 2 people
Rental was just as described, clean and well stocked! It was a perfect place for a few nights and a base to explore the area. Only downfall is the walls are a little thin and quiet time at night was perfect but we were woken up the 2 mornings the adjacent space was rented at 6:30 by the other renters ( kid and doors). Bring some earplugs and there won't be any issue- still much quieter than most hotels! Listing is newer on this site, but there are lots of reviews on the other. Would stay here again!
