Beach Access: Less than a 5 minute drive to the beaches at the Seawall.

Pet Policy: One pet is welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Parking: There are free and paid street parking options on the streets surrounding the building.

Stepping straight onto historic Strand Street from the large wooden doors, The Market Street Flat welcomes you into Galveston's vibrant charm. This loft-style unit boasts a perfect layout for fun and relaxation.

As you enter, a dedicated game room filled with arcade games, a foosball table, and comfy seating beckons for some friendly competition or a relaxing social hour. French doors lead you into the heart of the loft, where a light-filled living area with a flat screen TV provides a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. The adjoining galley kitchen is well-equipped for whipping up meals, and continues the flow towards the private quarters.

Two comfortable bedrooms offer restful nights for your group. One bedroom features a king-sized bed, ideal for couples, while the other boasts a unique triple bunk bed (twin, full, full) – perfect for families or friends traveling together. A full bathroom completes the convenient layout. To top it all off, a private back patio with a fire pit beckons for cozy evenings under the stars.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 5 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Overall would stay here again, but some things to note. The place could have been cleaner. Our feet were black when walking without socks. Also the location was pretty loud. Each night we woke from the neighbors around 3am. Lastly leaving a welcome package like a few bottles of water would be appreciated by guests.

Great Location in Downtown Galveston
We enjoyed our stay. My son really liked the arcade. The location is great, five minutes walk to the Railroad Museum, coffee shops and restaurants. About a ten minutes drive to the Moody Mansion/Children's museum, Bishop's Palace, and the Seawall. And finally about 15 minutes to the Moody Gardens. There is lots to see and do.Great communication with the host, quick response time and provided all information needed.Great Location in Downtown Galveston to walk around.Things to note:The Terminator arcade game doesn't work due to the wiring at the base of the guns which it's exposed and coming apart. The other arcades do work just fine.There are lots of creaks and noises all the time (it's an older building so this can be expected). The front door is hard to open because it sticks on the concrete.You can hear people going up/down the stairs and walking about the unit upstairs You can hear people walking by outside as well.The shower does shows some discoloration on the sealant around the bottom. There isn't a washer/dryer available in the unit.To get to the trash bins, you go out the patio gate and through the second gate (past the other apartments) to the back alley, there you will find the dark green trash bins.Parking: We were able to park right out front.There is a sign that says "2 hour parking 9am to 6pm" but we didn't have an issue, we were out the second day until the evening. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Comfy and cozy on The Strand
This conveniently located former shop space, now two bedroom apartment with patio, was a perfect getaway in Galveston for our family. Walking distance to The Strand, the Railroad Museum, Fisherman's Wharf and much more. By car the location gave quick access to Broadway and Seawall. Inside we were comfortable with all the necessities of home with a furnished kitchen, comfy living room, two bedrooms and a game room for family foosball tournaments. We loved the back patio with the firepit, where we made some great memories. Russell was an excellent host and provided great information and responded in good time anytime we had a question. We will be back for sure.

The perfect place to stay for us
This property was a wonderful place to stay for us. We needed a long term rental for work in Galveston. It was close to all the places we needed to be and had plenty of room for an office space. The patio was a key selling point because we enjoy sitting on ours at home and this made our work trip more comfortable. We will gladly return to this property in the future.

Just down the street from the Strand, this is a good option if you are looking for a fun place to stay in Galveston away from the beaches. The games were fun and there is more then enough from for a group of five.

Underinformative
If the property description and direct emails had more accurately described the architectural design and check-in process, the stay would have been less stressful and more enjoyable. One of the rooms is described as having three beds. That is incorrect because it is actually a triple bunkbed. Nowhere were there instructions on how to check in, which is a multi-step process of entering an access code on to an unidentified lockbox to access your key. It was a failed guessing game until I received assistance from the cleaning staff, who was very helpful. The description also lists the property as two bedrooms. That is inaccurate. It is actually a renovated storefront with partial walls that divide the rooms from the main lounge and kitchen. Since the walls do not reach the ceiling, both rooms can still hear everything going on in the main rooms and are susceptible to the overhead lighting. I do not recommend this property for light sleepers. The design of the property is actually quite innovative and appealing. The kitchen is also well stocked with dishware and cookware. It is the property description that falls short and could affect the quality of your stay if it is not cut out for you.

Great stay very comfortable!! Pretty close to everything downtown Grand (quick walk) close to port. Be prepared to climb up the third bunk, even the second bunk if you’re young and frisky might be easy or could be hard It has a lovely patio for outdoors. I think I would put a better lock on the front door though overall stay.

We planned a 4 night stay with 4 adults and 2 children. THE GOOD: the children enjoyed playing the arcade games. Though one of the guns for the terminator shooting game didn’t work but it wasn’t that big of deal. THE BAD: We arrived around 9pm and that’s where we realized there is no designating parking, it’s like downtown parking. We had to go around the building a couple times but finally got a spot.

My only negatives on this property is, the bathroom had black mold above the shower, the entry door needs to be replaced because they were seriously weathered and deteriorated. So close…
Pros: This place is really cute, plenty of room for my family, fun arcade games, great location. Parking was not an issue, we parked right at the front door and never had trouble getting a spot. Accessing the unit was easy, the key box was clearly marked. Cons: It fell short on cleanliness. The floors were filthy, food crumbs on the dining table, popcorn on the couch cushions, we couldn’t use the space under the bathroom sink or the hairdryer because there was a thick buildup of dust on the surfaces. However, linens and shower/toilet were clean. Not the owners fault, but the sound coming from the upstairs unit is horrible if you have a bad neighbor during your stay. The first night was fine, we could hear them, but they were quiet by 10pm. 2 nights there was a group that was banging around, partying, cursing, etc until 2am. I’m all for having a good time on vacation, but it was too much when my kids are trying to sleep. 2 mornings before 8am we were awaken by the sound of a saw and hammering and saw a man at the back window. I assume they were doing repairs, but I was startled to walk out the room and see someone in the back patio. If it were cleaner and if it were just my husband and I, I may give it another try in the future.

This place has everything you need. The location is awesome! I loved every part of our four night stay. The stainless steel appliances are new and work perfectly. We hit the beach daily and walked the strand at night. The arcade games are too cool. This place is located on 25 Street which connects downtown to the seawall. The pleasure pier is located at the end of 25 Street. Fun lots of fun.

Don’t expect a good nights sleep
This was not our best VRBO experience. Our family booked this loft for one night prior to catching our cruise ship. PROS: As far as location, it was very convenient. It was right up the street from the cruise port and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance. My children also enjoyed the arcade games. CONS: upon arrival, the check in instructions were very unclear. It just said to put in an access code to the key box, but failed to mention there were multiple key boxes at this address and it needed to be the one labeled “guest”. Made it kind of stressful and didn’t hear back from the host when we messaged them. As far as cleanliness, like another reviewer said, the floors were dirty and the walls/baseboards were too. But the most concerning thing was I couldn’t tell if our bed linens had been washed. The towels smelled clean, but the linens did not. The sheets were paper thin and the “coverlet” was also paper thin. As far as sleep goes, this loft is located on the first floor and all walls/ceiling are, like the linens, paper thin. All night, we could hear the family above us footsteps and they brought their dog so it was running across the floor all night, not to mention woke us up 4 times barking. Then before you leave the checkout instructions ask you to “not leave trash in the loft” but give no explanation as where to dispose of it. This place has a lot of potential and improving the aforementioned items would make it a better experience.
