Bursting with a unique topsy, turvy character, the farmhouse is a wonderful example of a rural French holiday accommodation, deep in the countryside offering a rural tranquility and pastoral landscapes.
One of three from the collection of stylish holiday accommodation at Bois Mort farm, offering a grown up retreat based holiday, or taken together with Maison Maurice and the Old Goat Shed, perfect for family get togethers, retreats or reunions.
The Space
The family kitchen / dining room is dominated by a large insert log burner and beautiful authentic beams. Cook up a storm here, or simply relax with a good book and a glass of something local! The twin bedroom is located on the ground floor and ideal for those with slight mobility issues.
Moving on up to the upper level of the farm house you will find an extremely spacious double bedroom filled with antique furniture and wonderful country-side views. Also on this level you will find the spacious lounge. This room is again dominated by a large fireplace and authentic beams, with lots of seating and space to relax.
Moving outside the farm house and just steps from your front door, is your own shady private garden. We have created seating under a Tilleul tree to enjoy that glass of something cool or for alfresco dining.
A few steps away from your door and up the stone stairs, you will find our new 9 metre by 4 metre heated pool, dining terrace a real relief on those hot days. We also supply sun loungers for those wishing to top up their tans. For the grown ups, a real treat, a Swedish log burning hot tub which is perfect for spring and autumn weather when the evenings are less balmy, but also a great benefit after cycling and walking all the routes on our door step.
Other things to note
The farm house paired with our other gites – the Old Goat Shed and Maison de Maurice really makes Bois Mort the perfect destination for family get-togethers, ( children 12 and over are welcome if cottages are rented on an individual basis, children under 12 are permitted only if all 3 cottages are rented together) reunions and retreats, but all the gites are also sufficiently independent to ensure complete privacy.
