Sophisticated Retreat near Hershey Park!

This charming, 19th century brick townhouse (fully renovated in the Spring of 2012) is the closest vacation rental property to Hershey Park, Botanical Gardens and Zoo America, while ideally located in the quiet surroundings of a small neighborhood. Just down the street is a park playground for children near the Swatara Creek, which also offers great fishing, swimming, and canoe/kayaking.

The Travelers’ Post is a two-story home impeccably furnished with casual elegance and gracious hospitality in mind. It has the feel of a boutique hotel – that’s all yours! The first floor has a living area with a pull-out couch and TV/DVD entertainment, full gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances, granite countertops, everything you need to prepare your own meals, as well as a powder room and washer/dryer. Two upstairs bedrooms, one with a four-poster queen bed, the other with a pair of twin beds, have attached baths that are sleek and modern with glass-enclosed showers and tile floors. All spaces are designed to provide soothing havens for rest and gathering, tastefully appointed with world art, textiles and antiques. The private backyard terrace with dining area is perfect for family entertaining, framed by lush foliage and dotted with decorative planters and twinkling lights. Great House Convenient to Hersheypark
James was a great host and the house was well stocked with essentials. Extremely convenient to downtown Hershey and the park. Hot tub was great for relaxing as well! Highly recommend if visiting Hershey.

A little pleasure and a little work
I was coming to Hershey for a Pet Grooming Expo for my business and my husband came along with me. We had a fun day in the town of Hershey and then I spent several days at my expo. The rental was great! It was nice to come back and make dinner and relax in the hot tub. During the day my husband worked and used the sauna. The owner was quick to rely when we wanted him to know something. The rental was easy to use with lots of information on site. We would definitely stay here again!

First time using VRBO and I am very impressed. After reading terrible reviews for many of the hotels in the area we decided to check out VRBO and we are so glad we did. This place was well cared for and beautiful. Having our own hot tub was so nice after a long day walking around Hershey Park. Would definitely recommend.

So enjoyable and close to everything!
Vacation with the family to visit Hershey Park and this was the perfect place to stay. Super close by and the Hot Tub was such a great bonus to enjoy in the morning and to relax at night. 3 boys so the Xbox was a huge plus and really can't think of one amenity that was missing! Great communication with the manager too. Thanks again!

Wonderful place beautifully renovated . Loved the hot tub did not use sauna . Kitchen was well supplied for any cooking needs . We only made coffee and toast . Stairs would be tricky for some quests but we were fine . Showers were hot . Lovely place .

“Travelers Post” Best Hershey Rental Home!!
Most of the time anyone can find something negative to say about either the property itself or the homeowners and/or property manager. My family and I looked at every single location within 30min of Hersheypark itself and for my family the closest and best residence to the park was this location, we were able to arrive to the park itself within 5 minutes once we pulled out of the home. The Travelers Post itself had everything we needed and more. All the space we could ask for once getting back after a long day at Hersheypark. Each bedroom and the living room had smart tv’s which for my family is a must. The homes Wi-Fi is amazing with all of the televisions, 4 cellphones, and tablets running off of it at the same time, it ran flawlessly, non stop. The supplies left for you to have access to is amazing as well. The kitchen has everything you need and more. 2 and 1/2 bathrooms is more than perfect for our family of 4. There is never a wait on restroom breaks and/or showers. Each and every room in that home is set up beautifully. You can see the timelessness of a beautiful older home yet once inside it has all the best appliances and style is impeccable. For our 9 and 12 year old girls to love the home more than Hersheypark on some of the days, that should say something in itself. For my husband and myself the hot tub and sauna was a blessing after 9 hour days at Hersheypark. We more than loved our stay and will return as often as possible, when this home only is available!

The location was perfect to go to a Hershey Bears game and Hershey Park for a weekend. We were so close to the complex and there was plenty of space and privacy. The owners are very responsive and the house was perfect for my family with little kids. We would definitely stay here again!

This property had everything my family and I needed to be a home away from home while a loved one was in the hospital nearby. We enjoyed the large shared space, both inside and outside. The hot tub and sauna were a wonderful way to relax at the end of some extremely difficult days. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the furniture was comfortable and the decor was tasteful. Most of all, the host was compassionate, flexible and understanding of our situation every step of the way. I highly recommend this spot for a Hershey stay.

Great property, just the right size for the 5 of us. The house is very nicely decorated with beautiful bathrooms. Very historic feel. My grand kids loved the hot tub! Very comfortable bedrooms.

My 3 teens & I loved every second of time we spent in this fantastic house! Super clean & cozy (with wonderfully comfy beds & pillows), and close to all the fun stuff at Hershey! James is a fantastic host; very responsive, helpful and personable. His property is a wonderful blend of 19th century charm and modern updates. Loved the master four-poster bed. The furnishings, linens, artwork and decor were pleasing, comfortable and of high quality. And the house was very clean which made us feel comfortable right away.

Great place to stay in Hershey!
This house is VERY close to Hersheypark and made it very convenient to come back in the middle of the day if needed. The house was clean and in good condition. We especially loved the hot tub out back! The neighborhood was pretty quiet and definitely safe. The new owner was very quick to respond and help with any issues. The only negative thing I would say is that it probably only sleeps 6 adults comfortably (our listing said sleeps up to 8). There are extra foam pads to use on the floor but not sure how comfortable they would be. For our family it worked because we had one kid in a pack n play and we put our other 3 younger kids on the sleeper sofa.

Great for Hershey Park
Our family had a great stay at the Traveler's Post. There was a bit of a mixup when I first got the reservation but it was quickly fixed and the new owner of the property was very reasonable. As far as the trip went it was the perfect distance from Hershey. There were 2 HUGE concerts while we stayed at the location and every trip we made to and from the park was quick and easy, despite all the traffic. (One night it was 40k people for the concert on top of the vistors to the park - I've never seen it so busy! )The house was cleaned, it has an amazing kitchen which we unfortunately did not get to use much. The bedrooms were great. The linens and extra blankets were easy to access. There is a very cute patio out back. I would definitely recommend this location if you are staying in Hershey park. Also the sign post out front of the property was great. Thanks James for a great weekend getaway!
