Profitez de l'isolement d'une retraite de montagne au bord de la crique dans cette cabine de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain qui borde la magnifique forêt nationale de Nantahala des Great Smoky Mountains. Laissez les bruits des eaux tumultueuses apaiser votre âme jour et nuit. Traversez notre pont pour profiter des feux de joie ou même planter une tente pour la nuit sur notre propriété de l'autre côté de la rivière qui est éclairée par des lumières de café festives suspendues autour du feu de camp. Faites une randonnée dans la forêt nationale de Nantahala par la porte dérobée. Ou si vous préférez le confort des créatures, profitez de la cuisine entièrement équipée, de nouveaux lits confortables (King et Queen), de nouvelles bûches à gaz dans notre cheminée en pierre, du Wi-Fi, d'une grande télévision à écran plat avec programmation parabolique. Lisez un livre ou contemplez simplement la rivière depuis la véranda / la véranda avec ses confortables chaises surdimensionnées et son canapé qui s'ouvre sur un canapé-lit queen. Profitez d'un repas en famille à la grande table à manger magnifiquement faite de bois de grange récupéré.

Idéalement situé sur la section Wayah Road de Mountain Waters Scenic Byway, une route pavée, la maison est facilement accessible même par mauvais temps. Nous sommes juste assez loin du centre-ville de Franklin (8 miles) pour être isolés, mais nous sommes directement sur le chemin de Wayah Bald, du centre de plein air de Nantahala, du lac Nantahala et du sentier des Appalaches. Le comté de Franklin / Macon compte 16 chutes d'eau locales, une exploitation minière de renommée mondiale et de nombreux sentiers de vélo et de randonnée, notamment le sentier des Appalaches et le sentier Bartram. Les épiceries et les restaurants sont à moins de 10 minutes. À 15 minutes du centre-ville de Franklin, vous trouverez des antiquaires, de l'artisanat local, des restaurants, des divertissements et deux pubs de la brasserie locale. Great two-couple getaway!
Wonderful long weekend spent at a cozy cabin with scenic views of cascading waters down a beautiful stream, a hot tub with a view, and a fire pit area. The cabin was beautifully appointed with a cozy sunroom, well-stocked kitchen with some seasonings, crock pot, utensils, and cookware. We enjoyed the quaint living room with a fireplace. The two beds were very comfortable. When we received the 7 pages of directions for the cabin, we were a little taken aback by the details. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a rental with such detailed instructions. But, being rule-followers and having an appreciation for any question we had being answered, we were pleased with all the instructions. We understand, nowadays, people don’t always respect others’ stuff! Kathy was very attentive and responsive to our needs and questions! The Starlink was perfect for our use. It was easy to connect to. It was also easy to set up WiFi calling on our phones. We were able to make FaceTime calls to show our families the beautiful place with no problem!

Perfect little getaway!
Our family needed some down time to rest, reconnect and be together! This home provided just that! Listening to the stream everyday was so beautiful and brought such peace! The hot tub was great and so much fun to have some nice conversation! The beds were comfy and the couches were too!! We enjoyed every minute of staying at this rental! The location of it is beautiful in the mountains, although I will admit it’s a little unnerving getting out of the driveway! But that’s only because people sometime fly around the curves! We cannot wait for our next trip back to Franklin, and booking this house - or maybe another one of Kathy’s houses again! Thanks for a great stay!

Enjoyable stay
The highlights of our stay were the creek, the fire pit and the hot tub. The cafe lights around the fire pit over the little footbridge was idyllic and picturesque. A few things to be aware of : We did not realize that there was not a primary bedroom with en-suite bath- the 2nd bathroom is also the laundry room and located just off the kitchen which was odd but older homes can be quirky- it’s part of their charm. Please be aware the coffee pot is very basic, can’t be programmed and no auto shutoff - takes a long time to brew. Also please know that due to the possibility of attracting bears or critters there is no outside trash bin and you’re asked to haul away your own household trash. The trash are is about 5 miles away so not a big deal. Lovely place and we would stay again.The surrounding area is beautiful and downtown Franklin was also very nice- we made a trip to Andrews for a rail bike tour and we highly recommend that Great communication from the host and quick response.whenever I had a question.

Our Respite
In leu of the huricane, (Helene), we came and enjoyed the much needed rest. We never lost power and were able to watch the "Big Game" Ala. vs. Ga. I won't say who we were rooting for but we were happy with the outcome, whew! We would have liked to enjoy the hot tub more but the drizzle kept us out. ): The gas log fireplace was such a nice addition to add ambiance to our stay. Thank you Kathy for working with us on our stay, my wife had a wonderful birthday. I would recomend this place to others!

Property was great. Clean and spacious. Really cool grounds, lots of spots to relax in. Really close to a lot of fun outdoors activities. Good appliances for the kitchen, and ingles is right around the corner for groceries. All around great time.

2nd Stay-Perfect Again
Stayed at the cabin for a girl's trip last summer and it was amazing. I had been hatching a plan to come back with my husband and daughter (19yrs) since then. Now they understand why I wanted to bring them here. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The hot tub overlooking the creek is relaxing. The location of the cabin is perfect, as well. Just a few minutes into the adorable town of Franklin with many shops and restaurants. The Scottish Tartan museum was interesting. Lovely hikes nearby. I can't wait to come back and stay again soon.

Heaven in the Mountains
We loved staying here. It was our 47th anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The bed was super comfy and the property is stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit area. I cannot recommend this place enough. The owner is wonderful too. LOVED IT!

A good stay
The description of property is 100% accurate as are comments made by others who have stayed here. This home has beautiful flowers growing all around the property which adds a beautiful touch. The outside is as good as the inside. VERY clean, cozy and quiet. The electricity went off for seconds the night before we left. It shut off the WIFI and DISH TV. We couldn't figure out how to reset systems. Maybe instructions to do so would be helpful for future guests. We stayed 7 nights and had the best time at the house and in the Franklin area.

Great place for a quick getaway
The house had everything we needed for a relaxing two night getaway, and the hot tub next to the creek was delightful. The house is much closer to the road than the photos make it seem, and although there is not much traffic, headlights shine into the 2nd bedroom whenever a car does come by.

Nice mountain retreat
We had a nice time at the house. It is close to the road and can be a little loud when motorcycles drive by. The Internet went down the first day and the landline did not work so we had no way to make phone calls and did not have Wi-Fi the first night, which was distressing for my wife. This was handled the next day when the host told me how to reset the internet. There are quite a lot of rules as to clean up, driving the trash to the local dump and basically cleaning up the entire house prior to leaving. Next time we may consider staying in a hotel so that we can enjoy the relaxation part a little bit more. But overall, it is inexpensive and a nice getaway.

Relaxing getaway
Bearly there was a perfect place for us to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It was close enough to town that we weren't stuck in a car all day, yet far enough out there to feel a sense of peace. The house was perfect for us. I suggest bringing a large sheet or blanket to throw out in the yard to just lay on and take a nap next to the stream. It was so relaxing it felt almost illegal. One thing I would note is that even though the road is not super busy, it was a bit tough to pull out of, you cant see cars coming from either direction, I did see a mirror on the trees across the way that helped a bit, but seemed to be for the opposite direction. We backed into the driveway and it was awful, but still a bit scary. All in all, an amazing property hosted by great people. We will be back and noted Kathy's other properties which we will also likely check out.

we stayed for our 1 yr wedding anniversary and it didnt disappoint. its even more beautiful in person. everything about the property was great, i dont think i can say one bad thing about it. We had a blast shopping down in town and taking hikes right off the road we were on.

The backyard was absolutely amazing, perfect in every way!! We loved playing in the creek and sitting by the fire. Drinking my coffee on the deck, listening to the creek was perfect!! The cabin was super cozy and the beds were so comfortable.

Right on the Creek!
LOVED that it was right on the creek as advertised!!!!! Easy drive up - we backed in to park as trying to back out onto the paved road was nerve racking ( for me , not for my husband ;) ) will stay again!!!
