Located on the Big Island of Hawaii, this detached studio guest house is fully furnished, very private, with vaulted ceilings on a beautifully landscaped 3 acre privately enclosed property. Property has a gated entrance with private gate code, grounds security system, over 40 fruit trees and 2 Koi fish ponds. Studio sleeps up to 5 (one queen-size bed, one full-size futon sofa bed, and a single blow-up mattress), has 1 bathroom with shower and kitchen with refrigerator, convection oven, 2 stovetop burners, coffee maker, blender, and all necessary kitchen cooking/eating utensils. Rental also includes a dual washer/dryer unit, clothes drying rack, armoire for hanging clothes, outdoor BBQ, outdoor patio seating and eating table for 4, fiber optic high-speed internet, smart TV, yoga mat, umbrellas and other essentials. Outdoor storage shed has 4 beach chairs, 3 beach umbrella, coolers, boogie board, 4 adult snorkel sets/2 child snorkel sets, volleyball, and beach toys that can be used by guests of the rental. Studio has a private entrance, parking spot for 2 vehicles, and 180 degree views of the 3 acre property and Koi fish pond from the patio. Pond area has 4 chairs, bistro table for 2 with umbrella, and 2 lounge chairs with umbrella for guests to use. This guest house is conveniently located 15 minutes south of Hilo and 10 minutes between the small towns of Keaau and Pahoa. There is also a grocery store and farmer’s market within 5 minutes of the rental. This is the perfect central location for all activities on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii, including sites such as Volcanoes National Patk, magnificent waterfalls, downtown Hilo, and the famous black sand and green sand beaches.

Great spot
Nous avons vécu un agréable séjour chez Jeff et Jenifer. L'hébergement est incroyable avec une attention aux détails exceptionnelle. Les enfants ont adoré les dessins à colorier (faits par Jeff!), les crayons multicolores, les leis de coquillages et surtout la nourriture pour les poissons de l'étang. L'endroit est lumineux et silencieux. Le soir on peut observer les étoiles au son des grenouilles. Les ingrédients de base et la cuisine bien équipée sont également des plus. L'endroit est a une vingtaine de minutes du parc des volcans et à une vingtaine de minutes d'Hilo. Nous recommandons chaleureusement!

Great place and owners!
We had a great stay at Jennifer and Jeff’s place! A very nice vibe, everything was very clean and new. They offer plenty of things to go to the beach like chairs, umbrella, beach toys and coolers (thank you for all this!!!). There is a futon (more confo than a standard sofa bed) a ukulele and suspended chairs outside which is great. Also a all-in-one washer/dryer! 😮 There’s a fountain, a pound, fruit trees for a great, quiet and peaceful yard. The property has a gate which can be appreciated by some as well. The weather was not on our side but that’s sure that star gazing must be incredible there. Jennifer and Jeff are very very nice and welcoming people! We were fortunate enough to hear Jeff play ukulele and sing, that was a great bonus to the already nice stay! That made us feel even more on vacation. :-) That’s a 100% no brainer to recommend!

Very nice property, great hosts.
Very nice, large gated property with friendly hosts. Guest house is a large single room with queen bed as described. There are penned-in chickens with roosters that will crow in the morning. At night you'll hear coqui frogs and other typical night life but it's fairly quiet inside with the windows closed. I did have to find and relocate a very loud coqui frog that took up residence in the Y-support for the overhang close to a window. There's no stove but there is a mini microwave, hot plate and large toaster oven. Standard refrigerator had some supplies including milk and peanut butter and various sauces. No AC. Fans only. Good, mostly quiet location to many local points of interest. Storage container outside has some snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrellas and water toys. Very nice, personal experience.

Quiet guesthouse on beautiful property
Our family of 3 loved our stay at the guesthouse. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the view from the lanai over the lush property. Our daughter especially loved feeding the koi fish and chasing frogs.

Jennifer and Jeff have a beautiful and peaceful guest house with inviting decor and the property is extremely clean and comfortable. We hiked in Hawaii Volcano NP and the guest house was perfect after tackling the trails. We hope to return to the Big Island and stay here again

Words cannot describe how amazing the owners make you feel here. Truly unique setting outside of Hilo with all the little touches taken care of by the owners. So peaceful and tranquil, you will never want to leave.

This property is top shelf!
This ohana and property are one of the best places you will find in the Hilo area. Jeff and Jennifer are terrific hosts and the unit is equipped with just about anything you can imagine. The amenities are many, landscaping is immaculate, and all within a few minutes of town. You will not be disappointed!

The property is absolutely stunning, beautiful and private. Its location was perfect for us to explore the Hilo side of Hawaii and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park area. We loved the peacefulness of the view from the guest house and koi pond. It was a great stay...even the coki frogs croaking at night helped make it a unique experience.

Perfect Stay at a Beautiful Property!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer and Jeff's property. I say perfect, because we have stayed at some other rentals in our visits to Big Island, but this one was far above the others - the guest house was perfectly appointed with everything we needed throught our stay. It made us feel right at home! We enjoyed the privacy of our own space, including the lanai, and koi pond just steps away. The property and guest house are beautiful and welcoming, truly paradise. It is also a great location, in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from both Hilo and Pahoa, the perfect home base for our adventures in Puna. If you happen to stay on a Sunday, the Maku'u farmers market is less than 10 minutes down the road, a must for stocking up on local produce and gifts. Thanks again for having us, and we hope to stay again on our next trip to Hawaii! Mahalo!

Heaven on Earth!
This little studio house was perfect for us! It is clean and beautifully decorated. The grounds are amazing and fun to explore. We loved sitting by the koi pond and listening to the waterfall and the frogs. The hosts were quick to answer any text. It was everything we had hoped and more!!!

Truly a beautiful place. A Must stay Island paradise. Every attention to detail made the stay enjoyable. Great library if you want to relax and read. A perfect tropical getaway!
Our stay was absolutely everything we wanted! The cottage has every amenity one could want/need! The location was centrally located to sights we wanted to visit on that side of the island.
