Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Parfait!
Le complexe est très bien situé et la plage devant est splendide, certainement l’une des plus belles de Maui. L’emplacement de l’unité était parfaite, à deux pas de la plage. Nous pouvions profiter de la mer et du soleil pendant que bébé faisait sa sieste! L’agence de réservation d’activités à même le resort nous a été d’une grande aide. Je recommande sans hésiter ce complexe et plus particulièrement cette unité!

Great location and view, uncomfortable furniture
The unit has a great location and a wonderful view right on the beach. The kitchen is fine. The rest of the unit needs to be updated. I've never experienced furniture or a bed this uncomfortable. Would never stay in that unit again unless it was updated. Hawaii is very expensive and the accommodations should be special, this was not.

The location can’t be beat. Spectacular sunset in a quiet environment. Everything you need is here. Had the best time ever. If I had to find a negative I’d say the couch is uncomfortable but that it. Will be back for sure Highly recommend.

Things we really enjoyed: fantastic location only 15 mins from airport; ocean view from our patio door; literally steps from the beach (loved our walks on the beach in the early morning ); updated kitchen with large island, nice parking spot , air conditioning and very quiet area. Things to improve the stay: screen door would not fully close and because of the little flies we always had to keep patio door always closed; need for a dresser or luggage rack to place suitcase. Didn’t mind the bed or sofa, agreed that place was not “updated “ but didn’t matter to us . We enjoyed the goodies that were provided when we arrived.

Our first impression was that this 1st floor ocean front condo was not clean. Basically it was ok on the surface but needed a good deep cleaning. Mostly, furniture was old & overused & needs an update to be more comfortable. The mattress on the bed was extremely uncomfortable & I got no sleep the first night. We purchased a 3” foam pad which was too soft but helped with comfort. The couch lacked support w/cushions sinking into the hideabed space when sitting on them. Bar stools and wicker chairs just not very comfy. No kitchen table/chairs. We had a few minor light & plumbing issues. We killed 8 cockroaches and found 2 others dead. On the plus side the kitchen and amenities were nice and in working order. We were reimbursed for the foam pad. Vacasa was very responsive on texts and the view was beautiful, with ocean so near. We learned a higher condo level is preferable for sunset pix. In fairness, we’ve stayed in some modern & renovated condos in the same resort. We had higher expectations for the cost. We enjoy the resort and gave feedback to Vacasa for the owners. Hopefully a few improvements will be made and it will be a nice place to stay.

The location is amazing. The kitchen is updated. Furniture needs updating. There isn't a chest of drawers or a place other than the floor for beach clothes. The closet has plenty of hangers. The place needs a deep cleaning maintenance and fresh paint on baseboards and door molding. The bedroom carpet needs replacing. There was water leakage and it was wet and smelled musty. The property managers were very helpful with all items. I believe all will or has been taken care of. We spent most of our evenings on the patio playing cards and enjoying the amazing sunsets. In the morning the sunrises are beautiful too. Just steps to the beach!

Great location to many sights.
Being on the lower level was great. Easy access to parking and beach. (Wish we could go out sliding doors and lock them when going to the beach and pool instead of walking around building) Location is great when sightseeing south and west Maui and close to pier for water excursions plus quick drive to airport.

Location, Location!
This condo was located in the quiet Sugar Beach Resort and my wife and I had an amazing experience with the on-site staff and checking in. The view, amenities, and ease of access was fantastic! Dishwasher and Washer tablets were included, as well as hangers, linens, and hand/body soap. Not to mention comfortable beach chairs and a boogie board! A few complaints: Some of the light-dimming adjustment sliders and fan controls did not work. This did not impact the use of the lighting or fans, but was confusing to learn which switches and sliders did/did not work. The condo was rather outdated which is fun at times to enjoy a little blast in the past, but wanting to take a day to enjoy the in-condo entertainment was difficult as the WiFi was slow and reception inside of the condo was poor. I was unable to work from this location due to the provided WiFi’s speed, nor use my hotspot due to the area’s reception. I would absolutely recommend this resort and condo to anybody visiting Maui, and I will consider this option again, just hoping to see some improvements inside of the condo in the future.

Stay at Sugar Beach
Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Our suite was a perfect location to everything and very quiet for a ground floor unit at the end of the building. Only problem was one of the lounging chairs was stolen off the lanai one week after we got here and was found just down the beach where the homeless stay. I guess they needed it more than we did,

Amazing stay. My kids played on the beach until it was dark. There is a moisture issue in the bathroom and the condo could use a few upgrades. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

The property served as an excellent base camp for adventures throughout Maui. It was easy to travel to any point on the island and returning to this comfortable beach front condo each night to sit on the lanai and listen to the ocean waves made for a perfect Hawaii experience.

The property is located right on the water which is great. But the condo itself really needed a deep cleaning, a fresh coat of paint, and replacing of some pieces that were worn out (sofa, sheets with holes). The walk down the beach is lovely but it wasn’t walking distance to much else.

GREAT location
Location both on the island & within the resort was awesome! You are right off the beach. Good water pressure. Bed was little stiff & pillows thin, but that's a personal preference. Had a small issue that took a day or two or resolve, but in the end the management company made us happy. I will say though, the couch is HORRIBLE. Worst couch I've ever sat on. Haven't sat on a couch this bad (indoor or outdoor) since college. If they replace this issue, I would give 5 stars.

Amazing view right out the door
We arrived from Kauai and were ready for our next stage of the trip. This property was in a great location on a wonderful stretch of beach. We got groceries and made dinner and for at least two nights, it was home. The sunsets were spectacular and the condo itself was all that we needed. Thanks for this spot in Maui

Great condo, perfect for a beach-focused visit!
Space was just as described, view of the ocean from the lanai was spectacular. Condo had decent amenities, enough dishes and cooking tools that we were able to make our own meals a couple of times when we didn't feel like going out. The beach is steps away, it was very nice to go play in the water and head back inside to grab a snack whenever we wanted. This room is on the end of the building, so we only had neighbors on one side, and never heard them. Great stay overall!

Great location, average unit
This is a wonderful location, lanai right on the beach with wonderful grounds and nice quiet beach. The unit is exactly as described. It's modest in size, like many of the older condominium complexes in Kihei. This particular unit is a bit tired - owner should consider new flooring, carpeting and furniture. The property management company was great - easy check-in, they called us to follow up on the first day of our stay, one simple issue was resolved promptly. In short, choose the unit if you want to have your morning coffee 20 feet from the beach, understanding that the unit itself is quite average
