Welcome to our spacious and comfortable 5-bedroom, 2.5-bath house with a hot tub & fireplace! This coastal retreat offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience in a beautiful Kodiak, Alaska neighborhood.

Bedrooms: Five large comfortable bedrooms, providing ample space for a relaxing stay.
One bedroom features an ensuite bathroom for added convenience and privacy.
The upstairs king suite boasts a 1/2 bath, an office space with ocean view, a sitting area, and a private deck with ocean views.

You will have access to the entire house except the garage.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Nestled on scenic Kodiak Island, Spruce Cape is a tranquil coastal neighborhood. Spruce Cape boasts stunning ocean views that will leave you in awe. You'll witness the sun rising over the majestic Pacific, casting a warm, golden glow on the pristine waters. Our neighborhood is a 2.5 mile direct drive down Spruce Cape to get downtown where you can discover the warm and welcoming Kodiak community spirit and explore our local culture and cuisine.

PARKING: There's plenty of parking at the house. We always recommend our guests rent a car to be fully flexible and independent. TURO is a good rental option for cars. In the winter the driveway can get icy as well as roads. We recommend a 4-wheel drive car during the winter season.

RENTAL AGREEMENT: Please note that you will be required to sign a rental agreement. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your stay, including the use of amenities. A week before your reservation, we will provide you with the rental agreement for review and signature. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to hosting you!

The Guest shall be required to pay a $1000 Damage Deposit amount with VRBO and sign a rental agreement.

Cancellation Policy Note: Please be aware that a 5% administrative fee is non-refundable should you cancel your reservation at any time.
HOT TUB RULES: out of service for winter

THIS IS A 5-PERSON HOT TUB DO NOT OVERLOAD

NO UNATTENDED USE: For your safety, the hot tub is to be used by registered guests only. Never leave the hot tub unattended while it's in use.

CHILDREN'S SUPERVISION: If children are using the hot tub, they must be always supervised by a responsible adult.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS: The consumption of alcohol or drugs while using the hot tub is strictly prohibited. These substances can impair judgment and lead to accidents.

SHOWER BEFORE USE: To maintain water quality, please shower before using the hot tub to remove oils, lotions, and other contaminants.

RESPECT QUIET HOURS: Be considerate of our neighbors and observe quiet hours, especially when using the hot tub during the evening.

COVER REPLACEMENT & CHEMICALS: After use, add one scoop of chlorine or chlorine tab & run through jets for a few minutes. Before replacing cover make sure the lights and all jets and waterfall are turned off then securely replace the hot tub cover and ensure its properly sealed to maintain water cleanliness and heat retention. Check the seal around all edges after the lid is applied.

NO GLASSWARE: For safety reasons, do not bring glassware or other breakable items into the hot tub area. Plastic cups and water bottles are provided for your convenience.

PETS, OILS & BUBBLES: Pets, Oils & Bubbles are not allowed in the hot tub and will result in a $500 cleaning fee.

SNOW AND ICE CAUTION:
This is an outdoor hot tub, and during certain seasons, such as winter, there may be snow and ice on the deck. Please exercise caution when using the hot tub under these conditions to ensure your safety.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: In case of any emergency or discomfort while using the hot tub, exit immediately and seek assistance if needed. Always follow safety procedures and guidelines. There is an emergency electric cut-off switch on the outside wall of the house. Please familiarize yourself with its whereabouts before hot tub use in case of an emergency.

MAINTENANCE: Our dedicated team will perform regular maintenance and water quality checks to ensure your comfort and safety. Please report any issues or concerns promptly.
By using the hot tub, you agree to sign the rental agreement and comply with these rules and understand the importance of safety and consideration for other guests. PET POLICY:
We welcome small to medium-sized quiet pets with an additional cleaning fee of $150.
Failure to disclose your pet(s) will result in the cancellation of your stay without a refund.
Please ensure your pet has no history of causing damage, no peeing indoors, and no aggression.
Pets must be leashed at all times outside the house and cannot be left unattended.
Pets are not allowed on furniture, and any accidents on the carpets or furniture will incur the necessary cleaning fees.
Please clean up after your pet in all indoor and outdoor areas and respect the neighbors.

EVENTS: Events are allowed with permission and an extra damage deposit and signed rental agreement. We use vacation management software Hostaway and will process the deposit and agreement via Hostaway. *ADDITIONAL RATES APPLY

*Please remove your shoes before entering the house to prevent tracking in mud and rainwater.

*Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. A $500 room recovery fee will be charged to guests who fail to comply.

*Please refrain from moving heavy furniture to prevent damages and the cleaner does not have time or muscle to move furniture. Guests will be held liable for any resulting damages.

Hidden Gem, Nice layout and good location!
Well, I almost dont want to do a great review to keep the GEM of a house off the radar. The only thing this house lack is Reviews! Best stocked kitchen ever, every spice, cooking and baking gadget you can image...mixers, blenders etc. I used to run 5 of these and this place rivalled my best home for kitchen items. Sitting on the front porch Grilling and have a cocktail, is perfect. Road in front has limited traffic and sunrise and sunset views are nice. Every bedroom has a TV and the basics, you can hear everything from the upstairs bedroom because there isnt a door but not an issue for us. Big bedrooms. Safeway is about 3 minutes away and downtown 5 minutes. Great stay for the 4 of us. Only thing I would ask is an outdoor Dining table be added....thats all that it needs. Thanks for use of your home we enjoyed it!! see you next year.

Ruined One night in Kodiak
The kids and chaperones were playing a game inside and outside and sat on or against the hot tub cover, and the owner cursed and yelled at them over the outdoor camera. It was very unprofessional to curse at and yell at young people like that. The chaperone tried to have a reasonable conversation but the host continued to yell and curse at her over the camera. She ruined their one night in Kodiak. We will not stay with this host or at any of her properties again.
