Villa Marcela - Families & Friends Gateway

Villa Marcela is located 1 mile from downtown La Fortuna, the house is an excellent option for families, friends and couples traveling together. There are 4 bedrooms with A/C units, three full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen area, WIFI (15 Megabytes) and Cable TV. Relaxing private pool and BBQ area to enjoy after your daily adventures. Great option to explore La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, very close to all main attractions.

Comfortable Villa just 3 minutes away from the central park of La Fortuna, great option for extended families and groups of friends.

Bedroom distribution:
Bedroom 1: King sized bed, private bathroom and A/C unit.
Bedroom 2: Full and single bed with A/C unit.
Bedroom 3: Two full beds with A/C unit.
Bedroom 4: Queen bed, A/C unit and private bathroom.
***This bedroom is outside the house by the pool area.
***Maximum people staying in the house is 11, however the base rate per night is for 6 people, each additional person will have an extra cost of US$25 per person per night so please add the total of people staying to get the correct amount to pay.

The villa is completely private for our guests, you do not share with anyone; we have other properties close by but each one has it own private entrance, every space between guests is separated. Property caretakers live on site taking care about maintenance of everything. Please check all of our house rules and add all the people staying, the house rate depends on how many people is staying, including kids.

We offer FREE PLANNING SERVICE for your transportation and tours in La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area, just let us know what you would like to do and we will help you to organize your vacations in our country with excellent rates and service. Once you book our property we will send you a detailed document with information about activities, transportation and more things about La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano area.

We have a small Tour Office named The House of Tours, which can organize any transportation from/to La Fortuna and any place in Costa Rica with bilingual drivers, comfortable units with A/C (Toyota Hi-Ace or Hyundai H1 2017/2018/2019 models) and excellent customer service. Also we can help you plan your tours in La Fortuna with the best rates, just let us know what you have on your mind and we will help you creating an itinerary during your stay.

Also we can help you arrange Costa Rican meal at La Casa de La Tortilla (Just steps away from your house), which is located by the property and Guiselle and Antonio will be glad to host you and prepare the bests Costa Rican meals, in their house they have a little restaurant and a typical Costa Rican kitchen where they serve the meals, once you book you can ask for the menu and in case you want we can get you private chef services in the house.

Great house plan. True to picture. Only draw back was the size of the shared bathroom. No space on bathroom vanity. None at all. Could not even leave a toothbrush out. No place for toilet paper. Toilet paper was on top of toilet. Hard to reach. The other bathrooms are very large but this shared bath was extremely very small. Lack of hot water after 2 showers. Water was freezing cold. Had to wait about 2 hours for water to become warm ( not hot). Other than that the house is absolutely beautiful!

Family and Friends trip to Costa Rica
We loved staying in this home . It was a perfect location to get to all of our activities, close to restaurants. The pool was wonderful and the kitchen gave us the option to cook a nice breakfast a couple of mornings. The only suggestion I have is that the steps going into the pool were a little slippery and one of our friends actually slipped going into the pool. It might be great to add a hand rail. Overall, we absolutely loved our time in Costa Rica!

Great location-easy walk into town or $2 dollar cab ride. Cabs quickly responsive and easy. Home meticulous and spacious for large group. Can say enough about House of Tours (owners). We had a great stay at Villa Marcella. The home and yard was very spacious and it felt very private and safe. It had a big kitchen & the complimentary coffee was very nice :) the hosts were super helpful with planning activities. I would come back again!

Phenomenal stay for our group of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). Everything was really clean and well appointed. We had a great time using the pool. We also took advantage of their tour service every day of our visit and everything went off without a hitch. Grocery store is about a 10 minute walk away and there are a couple restaurants about 5-10 minute walk.

Great house, great location
We had a group of 7 (parents, 4 boys, and family friend who is 70). We loved this house. It was close to everything and walkable to some restaurants. The pool was great and the grounds were lovely- even had a view of Arenal when it was clear. There were hummingbirds galore, which wr loved watching in the mornings while having coffee by the pool. The kitchen was well-appointed and there were plenty of towels for everyone. Overall, I highly recommended and would definitely stay again!!

Wonderful experience in La Fortuna!
Lovely home, with convenient access to in town La Fortuna. Had a fun time rafting, climbing Arenal, and enjoying hot springs! Office communication was excellent and friendly. Only suggestion is for office to make sure AC is at a more comfortable temperature before arrival.

We really enjoyed the outdoor space at this home! The pool and porch area were very well maintained and a great place to relax after hiking around Arenal and and rafting the Baldi. There's also a small yard for kids to play. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at the house. House was clean and beds were comfortable. Location was great close to many attractions. The living space doesn’t have air conditioning but keeping bedrooms doors open helped cool the room. The only negative is the lack of pans for the oven and the shower in the master bedroom doesn’t drain well which makes the bathroom floor get very wet. Check in was super easy and Carlos was very helpful. We didn’t use his services to book tours only because we were in a budget.

LaFortuna stay
We stayed here from 5/17/24 - 5/22/24. We were 8 adults total. The house is very nice. It was very warm when we first arrived. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned. We found out quickly if you open the bedroom doors it helps to cool the rest of the house. The house was well equipped with kitchen items and we were able to cook a few meals. It was nice to be able to grill. The bedrooms were all decent sized and the beds were super comfy. We got great use out of the pool. Also the egg chair outside was a favorite of everyone’s to sit and relax in. We were so close to grocery stores and to town. The amount of restaurants within a 5 mile area is very extensive. We really loved this house. We all agreed if we ever come back we will definitely book here again.

Great place!
This place was great! It had enough space for all 8 of us. The beds were large and comfortable. It was in a quiet neighborhood but still close to the places you want to go and see. We had a car so that made it easy. The living areas didn’t have ac, so we left the doors to the bedroom open when we could but it got very warm. The pool was nice and relaxing, though there wasn’t much shade so the tiles were very hot. It was too hot to simply lounge by the pool. We used the tour company to book several tours. It was very easy and affordable. We also had a home cooked meal at a love couples home next door. It was perfect for our last night in Costa Rica!
