Enjoy your seaside vacation from this lively decorated, Italian/Mediterranean style home with outstanding ocean views from almost every room, and a large wrap around ocean view patio where you have everything you need to relax, dine, and even sleep under the stars.



It sits on a hill overlooking gorgeous La Jolla Shores making the sunsets even more of a magical feeling to this 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath 3317 square foot 2-story vacation retreat.



There are lots of spaces to relax in the TV room or the living room while the kids have fun in the family room supplied with lots of games.



A large living room has lots of comfortable seating including a bed-like area where you can stretch out. There is a fireplace here and sliders for easy access to the ocean view patio.



A spacious ocean view dining area for 8 is adjacent to this living room. There is also a large, thoroughly modern kitchen with everything you need to meet your culinary desires – all you need do is add the food and the camaraderie.



Another area with a couch and an informal dining table is next to the kitchen so everyone can eat together, especially when you add the 3 high-top stools that are part of the kitchen breakfast bar.



There is also another TV room area with lots of comfortable seating and a large flat screen TV for your enjoyment. These seating areas are a bit apart so different things can be happening in each space without infringing upon one another.



There is a double bedroom on the 1st floor and bathroom on the 1st floor, as well as a half-bath/powder room. There is also a washer and dryer on this floor, and an exercise nook too.



On the second floor are all other bedrooms, there are 2 king master bedrooms, each with a beautiful ocean view and wonderfully appointed en suite baths. There are also 2 queen bedrooms on this floor. For your ultimate comfort all bed and bathrooms are furnished with premiere quality linens. This home comfortably sleeps 10.



The large ocean view wrap around patio has lots of chairs and nooks for lounging as well as a table for al fresco dining. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening libation here as you watch the changing colors in the western sky and the twinkling lights of La Jolla Village over the Pacific.



This home is close to all the exquisite shops and restaurants La Jolla Village has to offer. And La Jolla Cove is one of the most beautiful slices of coastline anywhere. There are also several parks nearby if anyone wants to be in spacious green spaces for a respite.



Grocery stores and coffee shops are nearby too, as is freeway access in the event that you decide to explore the many world class attractions San Diego has to offer such as Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and beautiful downtown San Diego too.

It has stellar ocean views from almost every room and a large, beautiful wrap-around patio from which to enjoy the western sky, sunsets, and sparkling evening lights.

Its ideal location just a short drive to La Jolla Shores beach, and the beautiful seaside village of La Jolla Shores and La Jolla.

Garage is not available for Guest use.



This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with Vacasa Seasonals, Inc.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Better than anticipated
Sure, as other reviews have said, it's not the most updated or conveniently laid out house. It has funky furniture in places and the cleanliness (dusting, shower drain clog) could have been a little better. But overall it was GREAT for our needs. The amount of privacy everyone got was fantastic with the 5br/4bath, and the kitchen was stocked enough with pots and pans and tools for us to cook most of Thanksgiving dinner ourselves. We would stay again - the views were incredible and the location was great!

Lots of space
Family was in town for a wedding so having lots of space to visit and hangout was what we were looking for and this house fit the bill. Location and view were great! However, I felt mislead by the beautifully staged photos that accompany the ad which gave the impression that the house was bright and homey. That was not the case. The house is in need of repair and a coat of paint, is cluttered with a bunch of extra furniture that was not needed and overall completely disorganized-especially the kitchen. (Should not have to hunt through the entire house for an iron only to find it in a drawer in a bedroom upstairs!) The ant infestation problem mentioned in other reviews has not been resolved. The house definitely has potential and, with some work and a good cleaning, can be what was shown in the photos.

Worst Nightmare Ever
This house was falling apart and infested with ants during our whole week. Our first night we discovered that their was a patio door in which you could push open even when it was locked so a major safety issue since my daughters room was right next to a door in which anybody could come in if they wanted. Then we had the ants, in EVERY ROOM. Infested, they were everywhere! They came out twice to spray and it never improved them. They were coming out of the floors and walls and covering my children’s clothes, crawling on us and everything. It was disgusting. Then on top of it, the house does not have air conditioning because it says it “has a coastal breeze” so n their description but they do not tell you that they have “out of order” and “do not open” on most of the windows and doors and not one ceiling fan in the house so never a breeze ever. Please do not rent this house, I never want to see another family go through what my family had to go through for a week when we thought we were going on a nice family vacation.

House needs MAJOR TLC INSIDE AND OUT!
When we arrived we thought wow this looks nice once we got inside there is an array of different furniture and broken furniture, not safe to sit on. No wifi or cable to watch tv, we had to spend one day of our vacation there with cable guy, Windows do not open, door handles coming off, doors that do not open or close right, ants on kitchen counters, spider webs everywhere especially outside on deck, patio furniture broken unable to use, no kitchen essential’s only one pan, carpet is old and very dirty, the list just goes on and on. Very disappointed with the way this house was pics on listing very deceitful!

Stellar views but old house
The house is huge, a lot of space for everyone, with epic views from every room. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The beds were clean and comfy. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Beach towels, toys and chairs were provided. The house was a 15 minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk from restaurants and shops. Vacasa was very responsive and even gave us early check in for free. The negatives aspects were: the house is very old and needs renovation. The furnitures were very old and had a strange odor, mostly the couch in the main living room. The hill was very steep if you want to walk to the house.

Great location, but..
We have mixed feelings about the cost vs value provided. The view is nice, but the house and its contents are in dire need of some fixes/updates. The interior has a wide array of furniture, most of which is worn, or worn out. One of the master bedroom mattresses was rock hard, which might have been OK except it is also worn out, having a sharp drop-off on one side. With 2 people in the bed, this required a balancing act to be able to sleep. The frame for this bed had metal pieces sticking out that caught my legs at least 1 time. The attached bathroom looked like it was not quite ready, missing covers for the recessed lighting. Various handles and doorknobs were broken, or missing entirely. Access to the deck for the view requires the door be unlocked inside, but then someone use the knob outside. We had other knobs/handles throughout the house that would fall off in our hands when used to access. The fridge leaks, we had a stack of paper towels arranged around the base of the fridge by the end of our stay. The wifi did not work the first 2 days, but when it did work the number of clients that could connect was limited. I am not sure why you would have a house that can host 10, but then limit access. If 10 are visiting, you can assume you will need at least 30 available connections. Better would be to not limit connections at all. There was two trash cans, and 1 can for recycling outside, and all were full. Someone came by and was standing in the cans to smash down the trash. The cans were overfull when we left. The driveway is STEEP and angled. Drive up the street and make a u-turn to approach driving downhill. We scraped the bottom, front, and back of the bottom of the car every time we arrived/left, no matter the approach angle. Some positives? The view was great, the sunsets were nice. The heat worked great, when needed. Considering the $700+ per night cost to stay, we will likely look elsewhere should we be in the San Diego area again.

Great space and location - but needs TLC
The best thing about this property is the location: slightly up a hill, so fantastic views, and quiet, yet only a few minutes walk into La Jolla village and cove. The second best aspect is the space - not only many rooms, but large rooms. And it has character. Where this property fell short is its general condition - it needs some TLC. And some better outdoor furniture. And wine glasses - there was only one. A deep clean - especially the carpets, although I realize that is hard in a house that allows pets. For those coming with a small pet - make sure that they have fixed the cat flap in the kitchen door - there was no flap, just a hole. Vacasa were very responsive, so they get full marks. And despite the gripes, we had a great week here.

Funky, charming stay
Great location and lots of room at this house. Was very clean on arrival. Easy walk to downtown La Jolla. The only downside was the price. Seemed expensive for a pretty dated home but I guess that’s La Kolla for ya. We enjoyed the time there.
