The Space:
Kindly be aware that this property is situated within a community that mandates guest registration. To ensure compliance, all necessary documentation must be submitted at least four days prior to check-in. Failure to do so will result in a $100 late fee, which we will request from guests. This fee applies even if the booking is made within the four-day window preceding check-in.
Experience the pinnacle of comfort and leisure at our magnificent 4-bedroom chalet, nestled within the serene 4-season Hideout community. As you approach this idyllic retreat, your first glimpse will be our expansive elevated front deck, thoughtfully appointed with ample seating and a convenient gas grill, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay.
Step inside, and you'll be captivated by the inviting atmosphere of the first floor. A spacious open concept living room seamlessly flows into the dining area and an upgraded kitchen. Adjacent to this culinary haven, you'll discover a screened-in porch, the perfect spot to savor your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of wine in the evening. Completing this floor is a full bathroom featuring a custom shower and a generously-sized tub, along with three bedrooms, each graced with King-sized beds. One of these bedrooms even boasts a trundle bed, providing extra sleeping accommodations for your convenience. For added convenience, a laundry area is discreetly tucked away in the hallway.
Venturing to the upper level, you'll be greeted by an enticing photo wall that captures the essence of your tranquil retreat. The master bedroom reigns supreme on this floor, boasting its own ensuite bathroom, complete with a custom shower and a luxurious soaker tub. It's a sanctuary of relaxation and sophistication, designed to meet your every need.
But the pleasures of this chalet extend beyond its beautifully appointed interior. The basement, a haven of entertainment, promises an array of exciting options for all ages. Discover an additional bonus room with a trundle bed, a TV, and an Xbox, perfect for cozy movie nights or gaming adventures. Meanwhile, in the other part of the basement, entertainment takes center stage. Unwind in front of a massive projector screen, catch up on your favorite shows on another TV, relax on a plush sectional sofa, or engage in some friendly competition with games of ping pong and air hockey. For those with a nostalgic streak, there are even classic arcade games to transport you back in time.
Outside, the fun continues around a welcoming fire pit, where stories, laughter, and marshmallows toasted to perfection await. Embrace the serenity of the Hideout community and create lasting memories with family and friends at our charming chalet.
Guest Access:
Guests will have the whole house to themselves during their stay except 1 Utility Closet on 2nd floor the mater bedroom closet is not accessible and the Garage.
The Neighborhood:
Our home is located on a dead end street with very little passer byes. While we do have neighbors the area is very quiet, so much so we often have Deer and Families of wild turkeys just come right onto the property.
Guests will have access to all seasonal community amenities: 2 outdoor pools, 2 beaches, fishing lake, boating lake, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, golf, fishing, rec center, ski hill, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating and much more. Additional fees to use facilities may apply. We are not responsible for amenities being under maintenance. Some community amenities are only open during certain times and/or days, please contact us regarding any amenities you wish to use so we can assist you.
FAQ:
Q1. How close is the lake and/or pools in the community?
A1. Our house is about a 5 minute drive to the closest pool (2.4 miles) and 8 minute drive to the closest lake (3 miles).
Q2. How close is the nearest supermarket?
A2. The closest super market is 8.3 miles from the house or about 15 minute drive. There is a dollar general that is 12 minutes away that has essentials.
Getting Around:
Our property has parking for 4 cars. You are not allowed to park on the street anywhere inside the community. Doing so may result in a ticket, which you will be responsible for.
Our home is located about 35 mins from Scranton, PA which would be closest city. You can take Trains or Buses from NYC or Philly to Scranton, however you will need a car to get to the home. There are several rental places within Scranton.
Uber and Lyft are not useable here.
Motorized Lake Wallenpaupack, Historic Hawley and Honesdale are all within a 30 minute drive. Enjoy the day on the water via public boat launches, boat rentals, go shopping or indulge in one of the many restaurants in town. Kalahari, Camelback, and the Outlets are about an hour away from our home.
Other Things to Note:
We are located in a 24-hour gated community which requires you to fill out a guest registration form for security purposes. Guest registration form will include full names and ages of each guest as well as vehicle information for each vehicle entering the community. Names on submitted forms MUST match the legal ID of the person driving.
Any last-minute bookings within 4 days of check in will be subject to a $100 late fee imposed by the community.
In winter months we strongly recommend for you to have a vehicle with All Wheel Drive or 4x4 available. While we have paved roads and a paved driveway there is a chance for lots of snow to fall and having AWD or 4x4 will help you greatly.
Any booking of 5 days or more qualifies for 10% off their nightly rate which will be applied automatically.
Please be advised that we provide a starter pack of household essentials like;
paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish detergent, and if the house is equipped with a dishwasher, washer and dryer there's cleaning agents for those as well. We highly encourage to please bring your own supply if you are staying for more than a weekend and/or you are traveling with a large party. Once the complimentary essentials are done, guests are responsible to supply their own.
The house is equipped with cooking ware such as pots pans, plates, utensils baking dishes etc. Personal grocery items such as seasoning, flour, sugar etc. are at the responsibility of the guests.
Q. Can you check in early or check out late?
A. We won't know if this is possible until the day before check in. The reason is if we have a guest leaving the day you are arriving our team needs enough time to ensure the house is ready for your arrival. In the event they finish early we can let you in earlier. For a late check out, it will depend on if we have a booking arriving that day. One way to ensure you getting either of these options is to book the day before or the day after your desired stay . This way if you want to book Friday-Sunday but you want to arrive at 9am on Friday, if you book Thursday the house will be available for you any time after check in time on Thursday.
Q. Do you offer any discounts ?
A. Our listed pricing is the best possible price we offer. There are bigger discounts that get applied for each day you add from 3 days and up .
Interaction with Guests:
Guests will be able to let themselves in with a code via a smart lock and will have no interaction with the home owner. You will have the whole house to yourself but either our property manager Peter or Us will be reachable throughout your stay to answer any questions or fix any issues should any arise.
