LAKEFRONT 5,000 square foot custom-built, high-end home on secluded 5 acres. Enjoy the private 3-boat dock and 150 feet of lakefront on motorized Lake Wallenpaupack. Historic Hawley and Honesdale just a short drive away. Enjoy the day on the water via the private boat dock or eat at one of many restaurants in town. Our lakefront home is custom-built, light-drenched, and focuses on quality materials and high-end finishes. The home offers an open floor plan and 3 separate floors. The Main Floor includes an open kitchen with Viking gas stove/oven (plus a second oven), heated radiant floors, 75-inch 4K Smart TV, in-ceiling SONOS connected speakers, large windows overlooking the lake, and wrap-around deck. The basement includes a pool table, 1992 Vintage SKEE-BALL machine, 85-inch 4K Smart TV, SONOS surround sound, and wet bar with a 2nd fridge & mini fridge.

We aim to provide an impeccably functioning home that is superbly clean and well amenitized with everything you should need to unwind and relax. Below are more specifics on the house; we send a guest book (post booking) with everything we provide, including pictures of everything included in the kitchen.

HIGH-END AMENITIES
Edgewater Escape has 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. The Escape comes equipped with 5 WiFi connected 4K LED Smart TVs - inclusive of a YouTube TV account for sports, movies, & more. Along with 15 beds, which offers enough sleeping space for 20 guests. Guests have full use of the washer and dryer, Outdoor Grill which is connected to our onsite propane tank (never run out!), and blazing fast 250 Mgbs WiFi. With our WiFi mesh network, guests can work wirelessly and seamlessly anywhere in the house or out on deck that provide 1,000+ square feet of elevated outdoor space. High-end amenities to enhance your stay include 10 SONOS speakers, Keurig & Drip Coffee maker, Vintage Skee-Ball machine, slate pool tale, outdoor horseshoe pit, outdoor fire pit, & more! The Escape screams privacy, while offering private lakefront access! Our driveway allows for parking of up to 6 cars. The house is equipped with an automatic home generator - so continue enjoying your vacation even if the power goes out!

ULTIMATE COMFORT
Edgewater Escape has central A/C, radiant flooring in the kitchen and Master Bathroom, and central Heat with several separate temperature zones throughout the house. Wake up feeling well-rested in one of our king/queen beds which all have high-end mattresses and microfiber sheets. We are fastidiously clean and neat and so is the house.

LAKEFRONT
The house has 150 feet of private lake frontage. A 3-boat dock is all yours to use during your stay. The house is situated in Martin's Cove - the largest Cove on the lake! PLEASE NOTE: You must cross a road to get from the house to the lake. The lake is also 100-200 feet of elevation below the house, therefore there are many (~50 "stairs") needed to get to the lake. Currently, the lakefront has 2, 2-person kayaks, 1, 1-person kayak, and two small boats.

HOT TUB
The Escape is equipped with a large, 7-person 120-jet hot tub. The hot tub is drained and refilled every week to ensure a sanitary condition for all of our guests.

The Escape is a high-end home and meticulously maintained. We are geared towards families that make it a point to care for the homes they vacation in.

ALL INCLUSIVE - LINENS
We provide hotel-quality towels, sheets, pillows and basic necessities at no additional charge. We aim to keep a lightly stocked kitchen with Keurig pods, coffee, salt/pepper, and a handful of different seasonings. Pack n Play plus high chair at the house for traveling families!

SKEE-BALL
Enjoy our free 1992 Vintage skee-ball machine – the same model you’ve played at the Arcade!

Please note there are neighbors around the house and sound travels far. We are trying to create a serene getaway for our guests as well as be respectful to our neighbors. So we ask that outside noise be kept to reasonable levels. To ensure this environment we have outdoor noise monitors.

Well behaved dogs allowed on a case-by-case basis for an additional $75 per pet fee.
Please note we have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old.
We require the majority of guests to be above 25 years old, with the exception of families with children.
Parking is limited to 7 cars, No RVs.
Per local regulations, we are restricted to an overnight guest maximum of 10 guests and 15 total day guests.

We aim to set the standard for short-term rental experiences.
We will proactively notify you when early check-in and/or late check-out are possible.

Treehouse living!
We loved the location - since the home is up on a hill with a view of the lake - it was like being in a treehouse - views for miles out of all the windows. The home had everything you could need - plenty of items for entertaining and a lovely fireplace - we used the game room and enjoyed watching a movie on the big screen TV - and enjoyed the fire pit outside - we would rent this property again!

My family and extended family were looking for a large home at Lake Wallenpaupack to accommodate everyone. We had adults, young children, and teens. The house is beautiful and well-maintained. The open concept was perfect so we didn't feel separated from one another. All of the amenities were a plus. Especially the bath towels! No one wants to pack 10 bath towels. I normally don't use supplied bath towels but they were white and smelled fresh so I was comfortable using them. The large hot tub was lots of fun for the kids and adults. There were plenty of beach towels too. The teens loved the paddle boat and kayaks. They could walk right down to the water and hang out on their own. Everything we needed was within a 15 minute drive. The Wallenpaupack Brewery was our favorite spot to eat. We had beer tastings and the food was delicious. There were a few things we weren't able to do such as boating and fishing due to the cold November weather but I'd love to go back in the summer.

Home was lovely. Clean, great location. Fantastic kitchen and family room. Plenty of bathrooms and beds. Loved the outdoor areas and hot tub. Ramp to get onto boat dock was an issue. Firstly, ramp wasn’t level to walk on and if not using a lot of caution was unstable. Section of ramp was also under water and slippery. Property host, CJ was great! Completely answered any questions and was always prompt with a reply. We enjoy our stay and will definitely consider staying at the house if we are ever in the area again.

Perfect Post-Wedding Vacation
My husband and I were married the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and decided to book this house as an extended celebration with our wedding party. We couldn't have made a better choice. The house was beautiful and very clean, the location was remote, and there was enough room for everyone. We were provided all needed amenities and CJ was very responsive and forthcoming with helpful information. It was the perfect location to continue our celebration, and the weather turned out to be beautiful all weekend. I highly recommend booking this gorgeous home!

AMAZING PROPERTY AND GREAT COMMUNICATION!!!
We have a great time at this house. Has a group of 11 guys and stayed for 3 nights. The property was in great condition when we arrived and the pictures online matched everything. Between the boats, skeeball, pool table, or chilling by the fire- there is plenty of things to do. The property manager/owner CJ was extremely helpful and communication was on point!! Gave us helpful tips without asking and everything went seamless. Thanks!!

Fantastic Family Reunion!
Our stay at Edgewater escape couldn’t have been better! The house is lovely, spacious, and has beautiful views. We were three siblings with our families totaling 18, mostly adults and one child. We picked this house because we wanted to have a reunion which meant lots of talking, eating, playing, and relaxing. The house suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked, and the large tables allowed us to all eat together. The basement was spacious enough for us to play and have fun. We relaxed in the hot tub and slept well in all the sleeping areas. We even dusted off our old Wii bowling and had a blast playing together. The four full bathrooms were also well stocked with plenty of towels and supplies. CJ was very responsive with any questions and did everything he could to help us enjoy our stay. We couldn’t have had a more perfect experience. Thank you!

Edgewater Escape Family Getaway 2022
My family of 10 rented CJ's house for the week, as the grandchildren remember our last Lake Wallenpaupack trip several years ago and begged to go again. Edgewater Escape was better than we could have imagined; the house is beautiful and very well maintained. The only inconvenience was the distance to the lakefront. As I had rented a pontoon boat for the week, it was difficult for my wife and I (we're in our 70's) to walk down to our dock and back. That being said, the house and its furnishings far exceeded our expectations. The game room downstairs kept the grandchildren busy and offered everyone a chance to perfect their Skee-Ball abilities. We now have beautiful memories of a wonderful family vacation!

We had a great week at this spacious and beautiful lakefront home. Located on a great spot on lake Wallenpaupack. The house was equipped with many amenities and the kids (and adults) really enjoyed the skee ball machine! We will be back!

Amazing Getaway!
We had the most wonderful stay at Edgewater Escape. The house is wonderfully appointed, we didn't want for anything in the kitchen, it had absolutely everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. There were plenty of towels for both the shower and to use for the hot tub and lake There is a short walk to the dock, but the stairs were easy to navigate and thre is very little traffic on the road that you have to cross. We were able to secure three boats to the dock, and the kids also really loved the water wheel boat that came with the house, it provided hours of entertainment! The pool table and ski ball in the basement were a HUGE hit with the kids that we had with us...and the adults might have had just as much fun trying to earn the top score throughout the week. We will be back!

One thing I’ll mention that maybe others haven’t is there’s lots of kitchen and dining items, pretty much everything you’d need is there and ready to use. (We cooked a lot.) Perfect Oasis
Me and my fellow classmates had the most amazing time at this property. From the moment I messaged CJ regarding the property to the very moment I left, everything was perfect. To begin, he had the best communication and was super accommodating. He would always respond immediately and was always so helpful. From the moment we arrived to this beautiful home, we were blown away. It is even more beautiful in person than it is in pictures. Everything was exactly as described and there really isn’t a single thing I can complain about. It was perfect! Me and my friends had such an amazing time. Our personal favorite was the skee ball machine and fire pit! Thank you so much for a truly one of a kind experience. The memories we made were priceless and we can’t wait to come back!
