Adorable Cottage Adirondack Lakefront historique sur le lac Long

Intérieur de lambris confortable avec un confort pour un couple, ou deux adultes et un enfant. Le chalet a une chambre avec un lit queen, un salon avec un futon queen et deux chaises en cuir. Il y a un bar et une table pour quatre personnes. La cuisine a une cuisinière à gaz, four, réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, grille-pain et cafetière. L'emplacement est le point culminant, dans une enclave de vacances privée (propriété de villégiature historique) sur la rive du lac Long au cœur des montagnes Adirondacks. Chemin un peu raide jusqu'à la plage. Près des sentiers de randonnée et de la pêche au pied du quai. À seulement 11 kilomètres de la célèbre Adirondack Museum-Adirondack Experience et à 25 minutes du spectaculaire Wild Center et Wild Walk au Tupper Lake.

Restful and peaceful retreat
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful long weekend here. It was pretty chilly for our stay and since this is a three season camp we made sure to bring extra layers for ourselves and the bed. We were cozy! We enjoyed breakfast at the bar in the kitchen with the beautiful view across the lake and outings to Long Lake, Tupper Lake, and Blue Mountain Lake. We don’t live far so we spend a lot of time in this area, but it was nice to have a few dedicated days and nights to spend together. This is a great basecamp for all kinds of hiking and water activities. The setting is so peaceful, and the camp itself is spacious, comfortable, well outfitted, and clean. Hosts were friendly and very easy to communicate with. Thank you!

A wonderful stay on the lake
We had a great time at the cottage on Long Lake. Richard was kind, helpful, and easy-going (even let me borrow his binoculars when I forgot mine!). The cottage is super cozy, and the perfect size for two people. It sits directly on the lake. The fog on the lake is beautiful in the morning and the sunsets are exquisite. There is a small dock which is great for swimming or just enjoying the serene setting. The kitchen has all the pans and appliances you might need. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The mattress was comfortable. The gas-powered "wood stove" is the only heating source, which was fine for us, but be aware it can get a tad cold in the bedroom because of this (we also went at the beginning of October so anticipated this). Extra blankets were provided. We would 100% come back!

Quiet and Beautiful on Long Lake
This property was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in a get away, quiet vacation. The cottage was perfect size and very comfortable. Dishes, utensils, and cookware were supplied and in excellent condition. Fishing off the dock was superb. The screened in porch over looking Long Lake was most relaxing and comfortable. The weather was perfect, for beginning of Oct. The leaves were so colorful. We want to make this an annual trip!

A real gem!!!
The cottage is located in a grove of tall pines overlooking Long Lake, with great views from a large picture window and from the screened in porch. It was very quiet and felt very private. The cottage itself was clean and well furnished, including a stove that added charm and helped keep us comfortable on cooler nites. The bathroom has a deep tub/shower that is perfect for a relaxing soak or one may choose to use the outdoor shower. Richard and Hillarie were wonderful hosts and were available to take care of any of our needs, doing so in a non-intrusive way. We look forward to staying at this property during our next trip to the Adirondaks.

Perfect location
We loved being right by the lake, with views from the kitchen and the screened-in porch. The host was helpful and friendly. The cottage has everything you could need for a relaxing stay. If you don't already know the area, Long Lake is an authentic not-too-touristy town, within easy reach for visiting the Adirondack Musuem, the Wild Center, Camp Sagamore, and the biking trail between Lake Placid and Lake Saranac. We plan to return. T

Old but good.
We had a great stay on Long Lake. Loved the screened porch and the view over the lake, the cottage is somewhat rustic and very well-aged but very comfortable. Nice hosts, beautiful spot.

Beautiful patch of heaven
Rich and Hillarie’s lakeside cabin was the perfect place for my Adirondack escape. The cabin is very cozy and clean, the dock was great for fishing and taking the sun, and the site in general is beautiful. Quick assess to all the hikes and attractions the area has to offer. Highly recommend!

Stay was very nice. We were not happy with the fact that the TV was so small and there was no TV service. No news Chanel’s and only our own Netflix and Prime accounts. Very nice quiet cottage though and we would like to come again. There was some confusion with the payment schedule

Excellent cabin and location.
My girlfriend and I spent last week at this property and found it to be exactly as it was described.It was a cozy "honeymoon suite" overlooking beautiful Long Lake and situated in a perfect location convenient to Buttermilk falls and the center of town.The owners were cordial and happy to answer any questions.I highly recommend this cabin and hope to return in the future.

Spectacular
This cottage was so nice, great location, clean and close to all attractions. We have stayed in a few places in the Adirondacks and we will most defiantly come back. The owner greeted us which was nice and we had a bonus when he offered wood for the campfire. My husband LOVES to build campfires. Perfect place for couples and to unplug. May the Adirondacks always stay pristine and untouched.

Hilary greeted us and was so nice, she even gave us ketchup which we somehow forgot! The cabin has great lake views and everything we needed, Unfortunately we had to cut our trip 2 nights short because of an emergency at home but we did get to go out kayaking once and it was beautiful. Thank you for a short but sweet stay!

The Honeymoon cabin was clean and adequate. We enjoyed the simplicity of it. Richard came over when we arrived and when we left. Black flies did their damage on us when we hiked up Owl’s Head trail. Would go back but maybe after July when they are gone.

We had a wonderful time. The hosts were great and very accommodating. Richard was very knowledgeable about the local fishing that led us to some memorable catches. The dock was perfect for the rented boat and very convenient. View out the kitchen window was amazing every morning.

We loved the cabin. Just right size for 2 with beautiful views of the lake. We had a problem renting a canoe with the local marina. It would be convenient if the owners provided some type of water craft to be able to get on the water.

Great Cottage on the Lake
This was our second year staying at this cottage. We love pretty much everything about it. The cabin is small and rustic, but very clean with good amenities. It is situated right on the bank of Long Lake with a spectacular view from the kitchen and screened in porch. The porch really makes the place ideal for relaxing in the morning and evening, especially during bug season. We had access to the dock to enjoy the water and afternoons in the sun. The location is perfect for accessing the town of Long Lake or for taking short excursions to Blue Mountain Lake or North to Eaton and Tupper. Our hosts are great people who were very welcoming and helpful. This is a great place if you want to unwind and enjoy the Adirondacks to their fullest.

Fabulous Cottage
