Situé au coeur des montagnes Pocono, nous vous proposons notre maison de vacances familiale pour vos prochaines vacances. Notre maison est située dans la communauté d'Emerald Lake. À 10 minutes de la station de ski de Camelback, à 3 minutes du parc aquatique Kalahari, du parc aquatique de Camelbeach Mountain, de la station de ski Jack Frost / Big Boulder, du Pocono Raceway, du mont. Airy Casino, Crossings Premium Outlets, Big Pocono State Park et State Game Lands. Ski, snowboard, natation, chasse, pêche, randonnée, kayak, vélo ou spectateur sur un circuit de classe mondiale!
Vos amis et votre famille apprécieront certainement notre grand salon avec grand écran de télévision de 120 pouces, grande cuisine, grande salle à manger, salle de jeux, terrasses à plusieurs niveaux surplombant le lac. Les trois niveaux permettent des espaces pour adultes et enfants. The place was dirty, worn and not welcoming. Very disappointed at the cleanliness of the property.
The deck flooring needs repaired. The hot tub was set at 75 and smelled. Filters were dirty. The kitchen sink had mold, dishes had to be washed before we used them. The microwave and refigerator were dirty. Dead flies on floors and tables. Left over glitter from previous guests. Railings were unstable. Outside deck railings were broken. Worst vrbo that i have stayed at!

great weekend
The house was large and had room enough for everyone. Giant video screen was great for games and movie night. The lake was awesome and quiet, we could canoe, kayak, and swim off the dock. Barbecued on the deck. hot worked great. The house is older and needs some updates, but for a weekend getaway, it was fine. bedrooms were comfortable there are A/C units in every room - not central air. the owner is very responsive and agreeable. We had a good time - we would do it again.

The house is large and had room enough for all the family members. Giant video screen was great for games and movie night. Lake was awesome, canoe and two kayaks. Used those a lot. Barbecued on the deck. Played pool in the basement game room. Some notes - It is not handicapped accessible if you need that, Two flights of stairs to get down to the lake. The house is older and needs some upkeep, but for a 4 day getaway it was fine for us. There are A/C units in every room - not central air. We had a good time - I would do it again.

Great time at this lake house!
We all had a great time! Fully enjoyed the lake for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. We were two families, 9 total occupants. We cooked and grilled most meals. The hot tub, sauna and theater room were an added bonus! We plan to go back again!

If I based my review off of the location, it would be 5 stars. The home itself is in a quiet neighborhood, herds of deer walking through your front yard, with a lake & dock connected to the home. The location itself is beyond beautiful. But then you get to the house. Besides the fact that there was a small live cockroach under the kitchen sink, and huge ants that take over the home - the house itself is practically in shambles. You walk into the front door and trip over a board in-front of the door that’s loose. No central air - all window units that were a hassle to figure out, as none were connected to the window. Some bedrooms didn’t have air conditioner units at all, and you can’t open the window because there’s no screens with huge spiders waiting to crawl in. Home was filthy - though we were charged a “cleaning fee” in the booking fees when the home itself has CLEARLY never been cleaned from prior parties that have stayed. (Cobwebs in corners. Dishwasher still full from the last people that stayed, bugs everywhere, trash in the closets). The back deck also has a loose board that they covered with a outdoor rug in hopes we wouldn’t see OR FEEL when we step outside ?? The deck is covered with lights which would be SUPER cute, if they worked. It goes to the extent that the strand of lights is missing bulbs on each strand. Not sure if the fridge even worked out entire stay, as our case of water probably could have gotten colder sitting outside on the back deck. I’m not sure where to even continue on about the house but please read reviews before you decide to book. We walked in and felt bamboozled.

We did have a really good time during our stay at the house. It’s right on the lake with amazing docks and access to boats. The theater room is great and so is the game room. The hot tub and the sauna are awesome. The house was a little bit disappointing with details like a missing toilet paper holder, some peeling paint, and uneven deck boards. The host was very responsive. Not luxury but still a good spot.

The place looked beautiful in the photos but up close, it was dismal. The whole place needs an extensive upgrade. A sewer cap was off in front of the house and the smell was awful. Plaster was peeling from the wall over the kitchen sink. The range in the kitchen was terrible; it took over 6 hours to bake a chicken in the oven and the burners on the electric range wouldn't maintain a steady temperature. It was an ordeal getting a warm shower; it took forever for the water to heat up. And, we couldn't get WIFI! There were no wash cloths or face towels to be found anywhere and when we swept the floors moulding from around the walls kept coming loose in several areas. The only really nice thing about the place was the movie room; it was spacious with lots of comfortable seating and the movie screen was huge making it feel like you were at the movies. I read the reviews before I rented the place and did see multiple complaints, especially about the kitchen range. But I gave the place the benefit of the doubt because the pictures were so nice. Big Mistake!

I have owned my own vacation rental and know what it takes to keep them nice. I have been to units all over Europe, Caribbean and US. This was the 1st disappointed VRBO I have ever visited. Climbing the steps that were loose and trying to open the door and it wouldn't open since a board was warped and loose that we couldn't even open the door. Or get back out once we were inside. We hammered it back in place ourselves. The interior does offer everything that was listed albeit no maintenance was down in at least 5 years. Like the Feb 2022 comment said "These pics are old" The rear door is still broken since Feb and now has painters tape to keep the glass shards in place. The door was rotten and the locks are a kick away from getting in. The oven needs replaced. The digital panel was not in place and completely broke when trying to turn the oven on. The owner had the nerve to say it wasn't broken before when clearly it says in numerous reviews that the oven didn't work property. We couldn't even get the temp to go up since you can't push the buttons. We did finally get it started but only at 350. Every room had something broken. Some safety issues as well. Missing smoke detectors, no hand rails to basement. A/C units need emptied, we did clean the filter and got it back on, but we shouldn't have to hook up a hose to empty the unit. I understand the exterior is hard to maintain in the woods but this hasn't had garbage picked up or cared for recently. For the amount of rent charged a lot more was expected. No instructions for anything. The projector we couldn't get to play DVD's, notes to pay for garbage at $5/bag, but no bags, so bring your own. The reviews from Feb are still accurate and the items she mentioned are still broken. The snow didn't cause the damages inside. It was a shame because we were excited to use the hot tub, but didn't get in it since the place wasn't maintained everywhere else and were concerned for bacteria. The pool table and fooseball, sauna are all located in the mildew basement. It did rain for the first day so we never did sit out on the deck because all the cushions were stained and wet. One good note: The mattresses were all good. And the owner was responsive when texted. There was just nothing he could do with the stove but replace it.

"Mr Petrovski We spent last week at your Emerald Lake property. I am going to list the major issues we had with this property. Exterior: doesn't look anything like the photos on VRBO. 1. It is dilapidated and covered in moss and mold. (power washing at the start of your season would remove this issue) 2. Everything was overgrown to the point that it inhibited using the entrance in the front. (hedge trimmers can help with that) 3. Steps going to the lake were rotted and falling apart. (new steps maybe?) 4. The dock looked nothing like the photo, time for new AstroTurf. 5. The hot tub was filthy. and the temperature could not be adjusted. We cleaned the filters, then your pool guy came and repeated the process as well as overflowed the tub trying to remove the filthy water. It remained clean after much work showing me it's not a weekly issue which is what you led us to believe. 6. The back door did not latch shut. therefore, it also did not lock. (I got nothin!) Interior: 7. 4 chairs seated around the table were broken and could not be used by adults. 8. The stove only works on high. 9. The oven did not have a knob making it nearly impossible to cook. there are also no pans for oven use (maybe because it didn't work) There is a broken outlet cover in the kitchen which was accessible to little toddler fingers. (how does any of this pass code?) 10. Smoke detectors were missing and the one that was there didn't work. (again safety issues) 11. The night it rained outside, it also rained in the kitchen. 12. plenty of dishes and utensils however only 4 cereal bowls for 12 people. 13. The basement smells like mold. 14. Upstairs bathroom toilet seat was broken. The baseboard heater covers were missing, rusty and sharp. 15. Downstairs shower had a constant drip. 16. No trash receptacles outside which meant leaving it all in the house until trash day. Mr Petrovski offered us a refund of the cleaning fee and 1 night's stay. VRBO was no help what-so-ever. why did we stay? we were all together as a family, it's our only vacation, we make our own happiness (doesn't mean I can't point out negatives) and he hadn't as of yet destroyed the lake.

A great week
Although some parts of this property are showing their age, we had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 kids, both inside and outside. The decks are amazing! We could always find both sun and shade as desired. The upper deck was our dining spot every night. Mid-deck was always in the shade, which was wonderful. The lake is beautiful. We did some swimming and kayaking. The kitchen was well equipped, but we did have an issue with the oven. We contacted the owner and he got right back to us and explained the problem. The bedrooms were fine. We were lucky to have a beautiful week and did not always need air conditioning, but window screens would have been nice. The biggest disappointment was the pool table in the basement. It really is a basement…dark and stuffy. We love to shoot pool, but did very little as it was uncomfortable down there. But, we found lots of other things to do! All in all, it’s a great location and a relatively comfortable home.
