When we arrived, there was a security desk instead of a reception area. We were informed that we needed a letter from the unit owner "approving" our stay. We needed to send copies of our passports/ picture ID ahead of time so we can get approval for our stay. I informed the security desk that we didn't receive these additional instructions and they replied that this isn't the first time that they have to deal with this issue. The security desk highly recommended for us to lodge a complaint to the agent we used to book the room. We tried contacting to property owner by phone and emails. we waited for hours in the lobby with all our luggages with no response. We couldn't wait any longer and got another place to stay. When the unit owner finally responded, they informed us of the extra process in order to get approval to check in. This was the firs time we got the "special instructions". The unit owner claimed the Expedia was responsible to provide these. I scoured the Expedia ap and my emails and did not find anything. We prepaid 2 nights stay in full. I reached out to Expedia for help and after several days, Expedia advised me that they were not able to reach the property owner and therefore I was not eligible for any refund....
Stay away from this place an I hope Expedia reviews their agreement with them as well.
