The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

By booking a stay, you are agreeing to make a donation to The Toasted Marshmallow Trust.

We loved our time here. Serene and beautiful, complete with so many fur friends. Toasted Marshmallow was perfect for the two of us. We relaxed in the hot tub in the morning and had a fire in the evening. Thanks so much for the fire woods.

Great Stay
Got to see three dogs, two cats, and so many goats! The puppies played outside our windows for the last few hours of our stay. The cats came right up when we first arrived. Definitely the place to be if you love animals!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The scenery was beautiful and the animals on the property were so friendly. We enjoyed having the hot tub to relax in. The only thing we would have liked is curtains on the windows that are not so sheer so windows are covered more especially at night and while in the bathroom for showers etc.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in The Toasted Marshmallow for our 6 year wedding anniversary. The host messaged me the morning I was due to attive with helpful info for check-in, and location info. They were able to accommodate us arriving an hour early as well. When we arrived, I went straight for the sheep and goats! We were also greeted by an adorable little black dog and a calico cat.They were both super friendly, and you can tell they have been trained to stay out of the cabin because they never went further than the porch. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend getaway. The cabin is on the edge of their farm, but it's so quiet. The only noise we heard came from the animals, which is always welcome.

Great Relaxing Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the toasted marshmallow. It was so great to see the goats, sheep, pups, and kitten. We also enjoyed watching the chickens chase each other from across the yard. Getting away from the city was such a great experience. The property was clean and easy to access, and comfortable for our family. There is another rental on the property called stargazer and it looks amazing too. Thanks to our hosts for accommodating us.

We enjoyed staying at this little place called TheToasted Marshmallow. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Set outside late and star gazed and watched the meteor shower. Cutest little black kitten was a snuggle buddy. Don't forget to bring her some treats, we did. :) The goats were adorable. We didn't see the dogs, but left some doggie biscuits. Nice location for visiting Hocking Hills. Just what my soul needed. We would stay there again for sure.

This was my wife and I first experience with Vrbo and not a hotel room. Cabin was very nice and very quiet. Was close enough to Hocking Hills to make day drips out each day. Proximity to Logan and Athens made dining out easy.

Cozy little house in the country
We stayed at Toasted Marshmallow because we were hiking in Hocking Hills and Conkle Hollow State Parks. It was SO relaxing to stay in this comfortable little home instead of camping in between our two days of hiking. And if your bones are aching a little, well - just hop in their hot tub and your pains will melt away for a good night's rest.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with a trip to Hocking Hills. While the trails were a little bit of a drive, we would it all again for the experience we had at this property. It was honestly the icing on the cake. If you love the peace and simplicity of the country, you will love it here. We had everything we needed, the animals were wonderful and the hosts were great. Everything was clean and cozy as well. As people who farm as well, it was the perfect home away from home.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly and gave us plenty of privacy. The kittens on the porch were an added bonus! Wonderful space and peaceful getaway within driving distance of good hiking.
