This is a wild, open-air hideaway for those who crave the beauty of nature.
The Space:
Amaroo One by Tiny Away is a hilltop retreat located in Minimbah, just 30 minutes from Forster with breathtaking views of the 3 Brothers Mountain range, Hallidays Point, and the Pacific Ocean. It’s a working cattle and equine training property, allowing you to bring your own horses for training. Amaroo is eco-conscious with off-grid power and a pet-friendly fenced area. Nearby attractions include Cape Hawke Lookout, Wallis Lake, The Artisan Farmer, One Mile Beach, and Barrington Tops National Park.
A comfortable, 139-square-foot accommodation is set in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with abundant natural bushland, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and its immediate surroundings, but please note the main residence, guest house, and sheds are off-limits as they are occupied or used for farm operations. For safety, the paddocks are also restricted since cattle may be present. You can enjoy about 1km of roadways for walking or relax under the trees at the equine center. If you’re unsure about access or have questions, feel free to ask Paul or Anke.
The Neighborhood:
Amaroo One by Tiny Away is located 30 minutes from Forster in the locality of Minimbah. The region is known for its gorgeous environments, from the sparkling waters of Wallis Lake to the expansive views from Cape Hawke Lookout.
While the nearby coastal town of Forster features fresh seafood, famous Sydney rock oysters, and access to beaches like One Mile. Amaroo’s off-grid retreat provides a quiet base from which to explore this area.
Our local recommendations:
- The Artisan Farmer in Nabiac, NSW, offers a paddock-to-plate experience featuring a café, bakery, deli, and organic garden.
- Cape Hawke Lookout in Booti Booti National Park offers a short, scenic hike through regenerating rainforest, leading to a tower with panoramic views.

- You can fly into Taree Airport, which is about 45 minutes from Amaroo One. From there, you’ll need to arrange private transport to reach the property.
Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is not available
- An additional $30 cleaning fee applies if you plan to bring your pet.
- We provide 15kg of firewood for free; any extra will be charged at $30 per 15kg bundle.
- Complimentary tea bags, a pod coffee machine, and milk are provided. Guests also have the option to purchase a breakfast pack, which we’ll supply for them to cook on their own.
- We also offer guests a dinner pack for an additional cost, featuring items for the grill. You can choose from meat lovers, seafood, or vegetarian options.
- Guests who want to see the animals up close can request it from the owners, Paul and Anke
- You are welcome to to bring your own horses for training by calling Anke Hawke @ Balanced Dressage
