Treehouse

* Please note that guests have submitted poor reviews due to holding unauthorized parties where police have been notified. These guests deposits were taken because of their damages and rules broken. VRBO does allow all guests to provide a review despite criminal activities. The Treehouse is a 15 minute ride from the airport. It’s in a nature area of the city that has trails and restaurants in walking distance. The downtown is a five minute taxi ride.

The Treehouse was hand crafter by an artist who will remain anonymous. Each part of the house, from the Amish oak flooring to the all Asian bathroom, has had hints of Heaven sewn in every detail from the day it was dead, to the dignity it now holds.

About the Treehouse- handmade stairs leads up to the rebuilt white oak house newly completed in 2023. The entrance area has room for shoes, coats, and luggage.
Inside, the spacious kitchen allows for guests to cook on a gas stove and has ample room to host guests in the dining area. The downstairs bathroom is complete with shower and free laundry . The living room has a tv, record player, and leads out to a scenic deck. Upstairs the hallway has a closet that allows for extra storage for luggage. The guest bedroom has a floor to the ceiling windows and a closet. The master bedroom also has a floor to ceiling windows and a bathroom with a jet tub.

Guest access
Guests have access to everything in the house. They will not have access to the detached garage unless arrangements are communicated.

Unlicensed property

Really dirty not a real shower on main floor moldedwood smells like mildew doors an locks do are not secured doors were unlocked old beer and cheese was in the fridge look address on zillow its a 1 bedroom not 2 they turned closet into twin bed the walls had no paint patches of chalk all thur the house no railings on stairs , parking is unsafe i potholes on a super steep ally n street parking rotten trees hanging over super unsafe an uncomfortable property manger lied to vrbo and me i sent video and photo document would not recommend to have listing on vrbo

Dirty property

The property is dirty we had to clean the house up by sweeping and washing the dishes before we used them. The downstairs toilet was stopped up they have an outhouse shower in it. The living room is empty with a small couch and no outlets worked in the house so no tv the house didn’t have WiFi. The house had 1 tv and it didn’t work. We left messages with the host didn’t reply back until I reached out to the company agent to have him respond. He responded up until we checked in.. the carpet in the rooms were filthy. We had to wash the linen. The host said to put everything ack like we found it. We stripped the beds and put some in the wash before we left because they should be waking this stuff not leaving it for the next person to sleep on. The people is dark no outside lights no curtains or blinds and the neighbor in the house next door possibly the host was looking into the windows and jumping over the fence into the yard spying on us. The neighbors was up all night partying playing loud music and drinking until the wee hours of the morning. The outside of the property is trashy looking full of debris and falling trees and dead plants. Will not stay here again.

Was a nice unique home

Is a nice property inside and has a cool classic look. Very spacious but the walk up to the house at night is spooky without a light. Overall though was very nice and homey. Fun place to stay

Scary at night

We arrived at the treehouse at night, which was quite the experience. There were no lights on at all and the property looked as if it was abandoned. The landscaping is so overgrown, there was no place to park our car, tarps and building materials all over the place. Once we were finally brave enough to get into the house, it was very cute! A little sparse on the furniture, but nice and clean. My only suggestions for inside would be to have some curtains at least in the bedrooms to have the option of privacy. During the daytime it was definitely not as scary! But I do feel a little landscaping would go a long way!

I don't know where to start

Based on the following, we elected not to stay here. I messaged the property manager as soon as I was able to. The view from the listing address was so overgrown, we couldn't see the mailbox at first, let alone the where the stairway started to go up the Tree House. The stairway up to the Tree House is rough and uneven, and overgrown. The entry into the house was simple enough, he opted to leave it unlocked with a key on the counter. Once we realized there was a driveway behind the house, we set out on foot to figure out how to get up there to park the car. One street over, there is a road that will bring you up to the Tree House. The incline is very steep, and the driveway is very small. There were markers indicating the edge of the driveway, and the drop off, but they were knocked over If you have a low profile vehicle, good luck. The interior of the home is very nice, and the kitchen is giant. The house could use some more furniture, very minimalist. The listing says occupancy of 4. I am not sure how that is possible with a twin bed, and double bed. I guess someone might sleep on the couch downstairs? This is where the trouble began for us. There were 3 of us. My 78 year old mother, has specific sleep issues, and has to sleep by herself. The swing on the master bedroom door is so tight, it would make it difficult to get to the master bath in the middle of the night, if she slept in the twin bed. This lead us to decide to leave and find other accommodations.

Tree House feels like a tree house.

If you want the feel of staying in a treehouse, this is your place. 👍. As a new listing there are some tweaks needed but it’s a fun, memorable place to stay. We had so much fun, listening to the vinyl records from the past. Fun little place. 2nd bedroom is a twin bed. FYI.

Has great potential

The setting was beautiful, the layout was nice, the bathrooms and kitchen were modern and tasteful, and the location was perfect. But there were things that colored our perceptions in a less positive way. I will identify a few. First, the place could use some more furniture and other things to help make it feel more welcoming. Second, there are no curtains, which matters most in the bedrooms because those east facing rooms get a lot of sun in the morning. Third, I realize now that the owners intentionally chose not to have WiFi connectivity, and I respect that. My advice would be to advertise the unplugged nature of the venue so customers don’t make wrong assumptions. Finally, there several minor but nonetheless noticeable issues with the bathrooms (e.g. no hooks for hanging towels, clothes, low water pressure and poor sink drainage).

Glad we booked this!

We’ve never stayed anywhere that hadn’t been previously reviewed! I’m glad we gave it a try anyways - a unique property, nice and clean, in a beautiful setting, with easy check-in and good communication with the owner. The road this house is on is a little louder than I expected and the house could use some window treatments to add some privacy and avoid super early morning wake ups…regardless, I’d stay there again, it was a success!
