Villa nel Cielo is a splendid villa situated in the Tuscan countryside on the border with the Umbria region, and just 3 km from Monterchi, where Piero della Francesca painted one of his most famous frescoes “La Madonna del Parto” towards the end of the 15th century.
The building - originally a lookout guard tower, built about the first half of 1600 by Ferdinand II of the Medici - is characterized by its panoramic position. From the property, in fact, you can admire a fantastic view of the Valtiberina area and the Tuscan hills.
The villa has been recently restored, maintaining all the characteristics of a typical Tuscan country house. It is surrounded by a large garden (2 hectares) with olive trees, biological peaches, and plum trees.
On a lower level of the garden, you will find a delightful patio with a dining table for 10 people, ideal for alfresco meals, nestled in the greenery.
The outdoor spaces are embellished by a lovely swimming pool (6 x 12 m and 1.50 m depth), equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and parasols. Next to the pool is an outdoor Jacuzzi, which can be used on request.
For sports lovers there is a small soccer field (for 5 people) and a ping pong table.

Florence and Rome are respectively 2 hours and 3 hours away by car.

Ground floor: The ground floor consists of a spacious, well-equipped kitchen with: oven, microwave, fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee maker, moka.
Following a beautiful living area with dining table for 10 people, sofa, armchairs, satellite TV and antique fireplace. Then you will find a characteristic reading room with stereo.
First floor: The first floor is dedicated to the sleeping area made up of 4 bedrooms divided as follows: 2 double bedrooms (one of which can be transformed into a twin bedroom) and 2 twin bedrooms with two single beds each (that can be joined together if necessary).
All bedrooms are tastefully furnished in a rustic Tuscan style, with wrought-iron beds and ensuite bathrooms with shower.
Tower: There is also a characteristic tower, set on 2 levels, with a separate entrance from the rest of the villa. On the first level you will find a small sitting room with sofa and table, and a bathroom with shower. The second level consists of a double bedroom with a large terrace and a splendid view of the valley.
