Mountainside Family Home with views over Morzine
Chalet Florence is a traditional alpine chalet located on Route D'Avoriaz, with beautiful views across Morzine and a 20 minute downhill walk into town.
The chalet is our spacious family home, with a large living dining room, patio doors opening onto the terrace with panoramic views of Morzine town over to the ski slopes. We’ve 4 good sized bedrooms, perfect for a family stay.
Very well located for a quiet family holiday with easy access to Morzine town and the ski lifts.
We’re located just above Morzine town on Route D’Avoriaz. Distances to the lifts and supermarkets are as follows:
Free ski bus stop (Route C) directly outside, runs hourly (winter only)
Super Morzine Gondola: 2.3km, 5 minute drive
Pleney Gondola and Piou Piou kids club: 3.5km, 7 minute drive
Nyon Gondola: 3.4km, 6 minute drive
Prodains Cable car: 4.4km, 7 minute drive
Avoriaz Centre Station: 11km, 17 minute drive
Ardent Gondola: 9km, 15 minute drive
Carrefour Morzine: 2km, 5 minute drive
Carrefour St Jean D’aulps (bigger): 6km, 11 min drive
The living space is on the first and second floor of the building- there is another private apartment on the ground floor with its own entrance- there will also be guests here so we ask that you are respectful of them whilst using the entrance hall, stairwell and boot room.
The front door has both key and keycode access and opens up to the entrance hall and separate boot room and ski storage.
The chalet is our home outside the rentable weeks so there are a lot of homely touches and you’ll share the space with quite a lot of plants- although you don’t have to worry about watering them!
The kitchen is also well equipped as we leave everything in there, including our spice shelf and my favourite (if a bit well used!) crepe pan!
Follow the internal stairs to the first floor and the internal door to the chalets living space.
The living and dining space is large, with big windows to showcase the special feature of the property- the view over the town of Morzine and the Pleney ski slopes. The view is undoubtedly the best in Morzine!
We’ve a comfy corner sofa and full U.K. Sky tv, French tv, a chrome cast to stream to the tv from your devices, a decorative fireplace with two cosy armchairs and big picture windows that really let the outside in.
The wraparound terrace is accessed from the dining room and kitchen and leads onto the large deck with outside sofas, chimney set bbq and dining set ideally placed for you to relax and enjoy the view! A frosty morning coffee on the outside sofa is always a good idea on a perfect bluebird morning.
Also on this floor is the master bedroom with king bed, ensuite bathroom and private balcony with views across the valley to the Pleney ski slopes.
Across from the master bed is a twin room with 2 adult sized single beds, but perfect for kids.
The kitchen is quite old, but very well equipped as we love to cook and host dinners with friends. If you prefer to eat out there are an abundance of restaurants and bars in Morzine. There’s also the option of a private chef to come to the chalet to cater for you or have an easy dinner delivered to you.
The family bathroom is also on this main living level; two sinks, a bath with shower over and a separate toilet. As this is a family home we only have this bathroom and the (large) ensuite to the master bedroom. There is no bathroom on the mezzanine level.
Upstairs on the mezzanine level there is a sloped roof den with books and board games and two double bedrooms.
One has a double bed and room for a pop up single if needed, the other has a large and comfy sofa bed. Both have space for travel cots.
All rooms are a great size which makes this the ideal property for 2 or even 3 small families to enjoy together. As we have a little girl we’re particularly family friendly and can lend you high chairs and travel cots. There’s also a selection of books, toys and activities.
We’ve lived here for almost 10 years and love Morzine life and our local community. We can advise on a nanny service, transfers, ski hire and lessons- whatever you need!
The ground floor has a boot room with ski rack and boot warmers.
There’s also a washer and dryer you can use.
The house is our home and we want you to feel as comfortable and happy on your holiday in the chalet as we do living here year round, so please ask if you have any specific queries or questions.
We’re pet friendly so let us know if you want to bring your pet- we know how much a part of the family they are.
