Bradley Cottage in the heart of "Mayberry"

Our Cottage Has Been Serving Guests since July 24, 2017 - Step back to a slower time when people sat on the front porch sipping lemonade & watching lightning bugs... where both conversations and life were slower. At The Bradley Cottage, our hope is that your stay will allow you to remove yourself from the busyness of normal life, to relax and breathe in the southern air while sitting in the rockers on the front porch. Welcome!

The Cottage was completely updated in 2017 and provides a feeling of nostalgia. There is adequate space to stretch out and enjoy your time away. Both bedrooms have comfortable plush mattresses as well as Roku devices to allow you to stream from Netflix, Hulu, etc.. The living room has a smart tv so if you have a Hulu or Netflix account you can use that OR play dvds

The Cottage is located just 4 houses down from Wally's Service Station, a popular attraction for Andy Griffith fans that boasts a gift shop, Mayberry Squad Car Tours, and a replica of the Mayberry Courthouse. Downtown is just 4 blocks away where guests will find popular attractions: Snappy Lunch, souvenir/gift shops, ice cream shops, Andy Griffith Museum and more! All of these attractions are within walking distance. Historic Downtown Mount Airy is one of the friendliest and safest towns in North Carolina.

Our Property Manager Autumn lives onsite in the apartment behind the cottage. Please do not be alarmed if you see her coming or going. She can generally answer any questions that you may have while visiting.

Step back in time!
Girls trip with my mom and sister. The house was adorable and in a perfect location! Walking distance from Wally’s and Mayberrys sheriffs office. We did the squad car tour and loved it. Mt. Airy was perfect with lots of great diners and shopping. A must see for any Andy Griffith fan!

Adorable little place.
Had a hard time finding the house address on the listing. When i clicked on the map it sent us to a different rental house on a different street. Once we found the address and the house, the color of the house was different from that in the photo. But once inside, it was an adorable little place. Perfect size for our family to spread out. Quiet, clean and comfortable.

A friend had great things to say about this property, so I booked the property for our visit to Mt. Airy. The property was easy to find and conveniently located to area attractions. My husband and I were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely stay at this property again.

We had been on the road for 7 days and this was our last VRBO house. Our host was so very friendly and helpful when we could not get the tv to work. He came over and made sure it was working so I could watch my Dodgers beat the Yankees.

Very clean and great location.
Very clean and cute house. The only thing was the empty house next door, we seen a guy climb in the window and get a vacuum cleaner. Very strange. The property manager informed us she was going to have visitors so we didn't think nothing of it. Then we look out the window and a lady is walking around that empty house looking in the windows. Not sure if that was the property managers visitor or what. We did feel a little uncomfortable but besides that everything was fine.

Jersey Girl Loves Mayberry
We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Bradley Cottage! The house is just perfect and we felt right at home with all the thoughtful touches. We enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith DVDs in the living room and loved a fully equipped kitchen that enabled us to prepare our own breakfast each morning with food purchased at a vet nice Lowes Grocery store nearby. Being able to walk to downtown “Mayberry “ was so wonderful! We enjoyed taking evening strolls downtown after all the crowds were gone. No line at Scoops ice cream parlor! We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to all our friends!

Doors and mattresses
The front and back door was very difficult to open and close. It needs repaired. The mattresses are not comfortable. The house was so cute and nostalgic.A step back in time.

Annual Andy and Barney Trip
This is the 3rd time renting this house. We love it. It has everything we need and the location couldn’t be better. Comfy, homey and cute! We love sitting on the front porch and playing the guitars in the evening and watching the traffic go by. Definitely will rent again!
