Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city at this two-story, modern, and newly renovated home! On the first and main level of this getaway, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, modern utensils, and anything you might need to prepare mouth-watering meals and snacks for everyone in the group. Just outside the kitchen is the furnished backyard with a built-in gas grill and full island, and an outdoor sink and mini refrigerator. There you can also find a convenient outdoor dining area in case you wish to enjoy your meals alfresco. Additional amenities include three smart TVs, an on-site washer/dryer combo, a furnished second-floor deck, and a sunroom with seating that you can also find on the second floor.

This chic home is located less than four miles away from Isle of Palms beach and Boone Hall Plantation, and a short 10-mile drive to downtown historic Charleston. Just a couple of blocks away are a handful of convenience stores and grocery stores along with restaurants, Yamato Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, Basil, Opal Restaurant & Bar, and Crave Kitchen and Cocktails. If you visit downtown Charleston, make sure to visit The Battery, a must-visit that was formerly the heart and soul of the city’s maritime activity, and now is a wonderful promenade that is perfect for strolls to see beautiful homes and Southern-style mansions.

It was okay.
The carriage house is nice but it is located behind and very close to a primary residence. There are no privacy curtains in the kitchen and living room on the main floor but there is a sign asking you to turn off the lights at night because the lights shine I to the primary residence. A simple fix would be to hang window treatments. We drive a full size SUV and the driveway and parking pad are small and not ideal for a full size SUV. When we arrived there were 3 baby roaches in the bathtub, I took pictures and sent them to Vacasa, the property management team, and instead of rectifying the situation, the tried to convince me they were “palmetto” bugs. Palmetto bug is a nice way to say roach. The WiFi connection is spotty at best and non existent most of the time. The outdoor kitchen is nice but the grill would benefit from a very thorough cleaning. The property’s location is great and close to everything. Overall, I wouldn’t book this property again and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family.

Tucked Away Heaven
Super cute hideaway close to everything we wanted to do. 7 minutes to the beach, 1 minute to shopping, 15 minutes to downtown. We loved the feeling of being tucked away and private, while actually being surrounded by activities. The lake and canals were an added bonus.

Loved this property. Wonderful amenities, great outdoor kitchen, best bed I have ever slept in and perfect location. Responsive property managers. Parking for 2 cars. Great neighborhood for walking and exploring. Target and grocery within walking distance. My only challenge at the end of my two week stay was the internet. I was working during my time here and in the last few days I had trouble staying connected. The system was rebooted promptly by the owner but didn’t fix it. Sure it was just some glitch. Everything else was superb!

This VRBO is a relatively new construction. Super clean. Nice finishes inside. Great features outside. The lot is beautiful with amazingly pretty trees growing over the house giving it a sense of privacy. The house is located on a not too busy street away from the chaos but close to everything. The shower gets nice and hot and the water pressure is great!

the place was clean,but when we arrived the place had a very smokey smell to it. There was nothing we could do to rid the odor. perhaps the visitor before us burnt something in the oven or microwave. when we complained, we were told that an odor was not an inconvenience.

Long weekend Trip to IOP
My family and I really enjoyed this property in Mt Pleasent. The management team is amazing! Staci and Beckie went above and beyond to make sure our time was special. We loved the beautiful trees in the backyard along with the pond view. It was so quiet and relaxing hanging out in the screened in porch. We will back next year for sure!

Overall great stay
The house itself is great. It was very clean when we got there. The property manager texted us immediately and told us we could text them if we needed anything. They were extremely responsive which I appreciated. The house is a little small but the outside areas (outside kitchen/grille and the upstairs patio) were very nice to have. The location is perfect if you’re looking to spend time at IOP beach and Charleston. I had read some reviews about being on the main road being noisy, but we didn’t think it was bad at all. The neighbors do have dogs that bark all day, and that was annoying, but if you bring a whistle with you they’ll stop barking for a while. I also read some reviews about the internet being spotty. This is 100% true. It’s not good, especially downstairs. All in all we were happy with our stay. I would definitely recommend it.

Issues with living room size, no king size bed on first floor as advertised, two twin together do not make a king. Hazard with entry fence. Difficulties with thermostat(s). No privacy window treatments in living and kitchen area. Service and support from property management was non existent. We booked for three nights and stayed only one. That says it all.

Great location and beautiful home
First thing we noticed was the driveway was tight and very hard to turn around. When we entered the home I spilled a water on floor and when cleaning it up noticed that the floor was definitely not mopped. The dishes were not very clean either but that could have been because there was no hot water in kitchen. Everything else was great about the house, comfortable beds, outside spaces were great especially at night and the backyard was closed off for our dogs. This was a great location for visiting Charleston for the first time, convenient to everything. We would definitely stay again but need work on cleaning.

What a Charleston jewel!
The entire property was incredible. A second floor master with a patio balcony under a huge live oak, and a screened "nap" porch off adjacent to that. A beautiful shower/soaking tub master bath, kids bunk room. Downstairs was like being in a Charleston row house with an outdoor and indoor kitchen, huge windows, big patio, the base of that giant live oak providing awesome spectacle just outside the windows. What a great stay!
