Quiet and quaint w/ an excellent host
We came up during hurricane Milton and to see family. We live on west coast of Florida. The host was exceptional. We ended up staying longer than planned because power was still out at home and the host stayed in contact the entire time we were here. The lake is a peaceful and they have a little bench with a fire pit stocked with wood. It was perfect for my us. I wouldn’t recommend more than two people but for a couple and maybe a teen or dogs it’s a great inexpensive alternative to a hotel. Definitely cheaper and it has everything you need without any hassle. Check in was easy. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us. If we return we will definitely be booking here again.

My 18 year old daughter and I stayed here July 10th and 11th for her college orientation. The house itself was adorable with the layout and decor, I think it has the potential to be great. What was upsetting to me was how grimy and unsanitary things were. Everything seemed as if it had been superficially cleaned. The tower fan had a thick coating of visible grime and hair on the vents, leftover crumbs in the foldout chair bed, and a large amount of hair in the bathroom. We also had some unwanted guests in the form of ants in the kitchen and bathroom, and a strangely determined frog (s?) that kept finding its way into the house after we put it outside. What really bothered me (which prompted me to contact the owner) was the state of the white bath towels provided. Every single one was covered in white dog or cat hair, which I discovered after using one and finding myself covered in them. Gross. Every towel was in the same condition which forced me to dry off with paper towels after showering again. The owner was quick to apologize and offer a refund, which seemed thoughtful; I told her I wasn’t going to cancel the last 12 hours of my reservation because it wasn’t worth the additional inconvenience but any refund would be appreciated. I never heard back or saw a refund of any kind, which feels disrespectful and misleading. I bought ant traps and new towels to tolerate the last night. It was a really uncomfortable experience .

It should say if you have a disability this is not a place for you. You have to climb small narrow stairs straight up with no railing to get to a bed. Then you have to stay in a crouched position as the Celling is only 2 foot above your head. My husband was unable to do this do to his knees. The host did not answer my request to speak with her about this. We had to stay 2 nights and he had to sleep on a small pull out couch, very uncomfortable. Not a place for an older person with any kind of disability.

We had a great time. The building is small as described in the listing but very functional and clean. The backyard is on the water in a quiet neighborhood. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay again if available.

This was my first little house. I loved it and so did the dogs. We learned to pick up after our selves and the guise learn to get back on the river when I opened the door for the dogs to go out. "No animals were injury during this daily routine." The view was beautiful.

After hectic days of moving our son into his apartment for college, coming back to the quiet/peaceful serenity each night was just what we needed!! Ruth’s tiny home is perfect for relaxing and taking in the sounds/views of nature! Definitely recommend!!

We just stayed 1 night, so we are not sure about shopping, dining ect…. But we highly recommend this cute tiny home. More spacious than we though there would be. We will come back for sure!

Great location
This was perfect for my weekend. I visited, from out of state, to see friends. I felt perfectly safe staying here alone. This lakefront property is lovely. It was located in the back of a very quiet neighborhood. Nice breeze coming across the lake made for relaxing mornings on the swing bench. I will definitely be staying here whenever we cannot stay at our friends' home.

As advertised this place is small and feels smaller than it looks. There were 2 adults and a small dog and we felt cramped. The loft bed was comfortable but the low ceiling made it challenging to get in and out. There is a great view of a lake and the neighborhood is nice enough. The location is convenient to downtown Conway and Myrtle Beach. There is a nice river walk in Conway.

This was the perfect spot for me, my husband, and our dog. We enjoyed a bonfire by the lake one evening, and the view of the lake and sky is beautiful. We saw geese, egrets, squirrels, frogs, geckos, and beautiful live oak trees. The tiny cottage is clean and cozy with everything you need for a quiet and comfortable stay. Our dog loved the freedom to run and play in the leaves. Ruth was kind and informative, and all the little personal touches in the cottage are lovely!

Don’t go
This was a nice little place but my partner and I only stayed for 30 minutes tops. I wanted to take a shower and ended up finding a huge roach. I contacted the host and told her about it but when it came time for me to ask for a refund she was very rude. I didn’t stay for the two nights that I booked and had to contact Vrbo to try to get at least some money back. (Still haven’t heard anything back from Vrbo). This is not a place I would recommend for a small get away for anyone. Shouldn’t even be rented out
