La CHARTER HOUSE historique est une grande maison de 3 chambres / 2 salles de bain avec une cabane en rondins de 130 ans attachée. Ce terrain très privé de 2 acres est entièrement clôturé avec un beau mur de pierre de style guerre civile qui court toute l'entrée de la propriété. Il est situé au milieu de Hendersonville TN, juste à côté de Old Hickory Lake à seulement 15 minutes au nord-ouest du centre-ville de Nashville. Il y a un très grand parking devant la maison! C'est vraiment une expérience de vacances au Tennessee!

So comfortable!
The beds were comfy, sheets were soft, and the towels were soft and thick - and there were lots of them. A+.(However, BYO hairdryer, since we never found one.) The decor in the house is fascinating - a bit like spending the night inside a Crackle Barrell only more eclectic. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed and more. Appliances all in good order. It was a great place for the dogs with a nice fenced in yard. However, if your dog is a climber or a jumper (ours are not), you'll need to keep them leashed as some of the fenced areas are less than secure. Big fire ring with outdoor seating. Very quiet neighborhood . You gotta check out the bar/party room. We enjoyed our stay there with family.

The cabin is as described and pictured. It's convenient to all Hendersonville has to offer. The beds are comfortable and the owner was very responsive. One thing you should know if you have a sensitive nose is the cabin has a smoke smell.

Fun stay at amazing property
Five of us stayed for four nights while in town for a family wedding. We had a great experience here. It’s a unique property—century-plus old cabin with additions to make it roomier. The decor was an interesting mix of the historical, musical and whimsical. We were all very comfortable, had everything we needed and were well taken care of by our hosts who were incredibly responsive. We would all definitely stay here again.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything except a potato peeler and potato masher. Seating in the den was fine. I really liked the washer/dryer because it was not complicated to operate. The bedrooms were spacious enough and the beds were comfortable. Dwayne communicated with us very well. The location worked very well for us. The most important thing for us was that we were close to family members who live in Hendersonville. And the weather cooperated. It was a beautiful Labor Day weekend.

Highly recommend
My family and I traveled to Tennessee for a softball tournament. This was the perfect place for our stay. The cabin is very unique with great history. The backyard has a very private setting and front porch was perfect for evenings outside. The owners were great! We would highly recommend!

Perfect setting for my family trip for my daughter’s softball tournament. Great location near parks and plenty of room in the house for me, hubby & 2 teenagers. Very large, private and interesting back yard. The weather wasn’t the most agreeable on our trip, but thankfully the air conditioning worked well. The house and yard have personality which makes the stay way more fun than a hotel stay. Dwayne was awesome; super nice and helpful. He responded to texts ASAP if I had any questions. Overall a great trip…

The Charter House was a perfect selection for us. The yard is spacious, unique and peaceful. Our dog enjoyed the yard by napping near the fire pit at night. The inside is warmly decorated, beds are comfy, towels are big and soft. I highly recommend staying here if you need to relax.

Nice property; however misleading description
My first impression was not a very good one. I read the description, and don't get me wrong, I very easily could have misread or misinterpreted the description, and the description I interpreted was a cabin by the lake secluded. This was not the case. Granted, I should have looked deeper into the pictures and maybe I would have realized that this is not a secluded area. This area is in the middle of a neighborhood, and yes by a lake, but not on the lake. There is a convenient tiki bar right down the road walking distance that IS on the lake though. The area was nice for where it was at. I did enjoy that it was only 15 minutes from Nashville; however, with the price and the description, I expected a little more I guess? There are some structural damages to the house (it is an old house though), so if you read this, I would get those looked at. Like the bathroom on the top floor, the tiles seem like they are not stable. There is access to the crawlspace, but I would block that off more securely, especially since it is placed in a childs bedroom. There was not a hot tub description, but we were excited when we saw one, but were deflated when there is a sign saying it does not work. The yard was interesting to say the least, and the decor was interesting as well. Personally, I am not a very chaotic person, so all the different themes and decorations did not sit very well with me, but it is not like it really affected my stay. The upstairs does stay colder than the rest of the house, and there is a whole blocked off middle area of the house that I am guessing is an office of some sort. Overall, the house was pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the Saloon. That was the favorite part of it all. The host is very easy to communicate with and will let you know when he stops by. There is also a very cute yard cat.

Perfect weekend retreat for our family - including the dogs!
This well-kept home in a quiet, neighborhood was exactly what we needed to make wonderful family memories. We were able to travel with our two dogs and still be close enough to Nashville for shopping and site-seeing. The backyard provided a nice space for early morning coffee and lots of smells for the pups. We spoke to a few friendly neighbors who stopped to say hello as we were out walking the dogs. We saw all sorts of wildlife including deer in the neighborhood as well. BEAUTIFUL AREA! The property manager was very responsive to questions as our trip dates neared and even checked in with us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend this property!

Fantastic property
We had a great time at Dwayne's place. He's a very easy going guy and a wonderful host. The property was perfect for our group of 5 adults, 1 infant, and 1 elderly bulldog. The drive to Nashville was very easy, even on New Year's Eve, but there's more than enough to do in the Hendersonville area if you don't want to go downtown. We'll absolutely stay here again.

Historic cabin and great backyard
We rented this kitsch, historic house for a friends reunion and enjoyed our stay. The yard is amazing and I spoke to Dwayne about having a fire in the fire pit before our stay and he accommodated us. I walked the neighborhood daily with my dog. It’s quiet and the lake is pretty. The three bedrooms were comfortable with one bed a little on the soft side. It’s important to remember rooms pictured on the property are inaccessible- the bar area with instruments and hang out space was closed. Also the TVs are not internet ready so bring your own iPads and tablets if you’d like to have tv other than analog. Dwayne stopped by the house which surprised us. He texted that he was expecting a package and I agreed to let him know when it arrived. He came by anyway before it was delivered. Later, two deliveries arrived and I contacted Dwayne so he could pick up his things. The house was decorated for the holidays but my favorite area was the backyard spaces. I bet it’s lovely in the spring and summer.
