Luxury Chalet, Best Views in Virginia

Welcome to Blackrock Manor, a one-of-a-kind luxury chalet in the heart of Wintergreen. Experience spectacular mountain views from all 3 levels. Watch the sunset over the mountains from our signature “Eagles Nest.” Indulge in the indoor spa, then relax in the hot tub. With multiple living rooms, 6 bedrooms (4 are masters), and a massive game room, there is plenty of space for large groups. Every inch of the home has the best quality finishes and furnishings. Treat yourself to an unforgettable vacation!

The chalet is less than 1 mile to the slopes and a few minutes’ drive to all the dining and entertainment at Wintergreen. Just two doors down is Blackrock park, which boasts a fantastic hiking trail that goes right by our backyard. If you’re willing to venture a bit further, some of the best hiking trails in the state are off the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minutes from the cabin), two sandy-beach-entrance lakes plus a community pool for swimming, and over dozen wineries, breweries, and distilleries within a 30 minute drive.

The home layout is as follows:

Upper level (main entrance enters this level with zero steps from the flat driveway):
- Grand entrance foyer
- Primary living room with sectional reclining sofa, working propane fireplace, and big screen TV
- Dining area for 10, plus an addition table that seats 4, plus room for 4 more at the kitchen bar
- Additional couch seating area to enjoy conversation and views. Telescope and binoculars are provided in this area.
- Large, fully stocked kitchen with granite counters and island, stainless appliances, and gas range. Drip coffee and Keurig machines provided.
- BR 1: Primary bedroom with king bed, Peleton bike, and upper deck access. Ensuite bathroom features jetted tub and steam shower
- Half bath
- Upper deck features multiple sitting areas, dining tables for 8 and 4, and a propane grill and fire table (propane provided for each)

Middle level:
- Additional living room with big screen TV and wetbar with wine cooler, additional minifridge, and microwave
- BR 2: King bed with ensuite bathroom
- BR 3: King bed with ensuite bathroom
- BR 4: 2 queen beds with ensuite bathroom
- BR 5: King bed with dedicated work space
- Full size washer and dryer
- Middle level deck features multiple sitting areas and a table with seating for 4
- Heated floors throughout this level

Lower level:
- Game room with pool table, foosball table, basketball game, and TV
- BR6: 2 queen beds
- Spa area with indoor sauna and steam shower, built directly into the mountain with exposed boulder
- Heated floors throughout this area
- Lower level deck has 7 person hot tub with privacy fencing and amazing views
- Lighted walkway down to the Eagle’s Nest sitting area with two custom-built curved benches and propane fire table

Other things to note:

- We provide our guests $1500 of coverage for accidental damage to the property or its contents. The cost of this is already embedded in the cleaning fee.
- Wintergreen offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course, golfing, and much more.
- The two driveways can easily fit 6-7 vehicles.
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and decks. Four of the five bedrooms, plus both living rooms and the game room, feature smart TVs where you can access all the main streaming services.
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options, plus a Nespresso machine
- Linens and towels provided
- Guests can enjoy free community pool access in the summer season (though the HOA rules stipulate no more than 6 guests at a time, and the permitted hours are 2-6pm).
- Pack n play, high chair, baby monitor, and board games provided
- We may consider pets on a case by case basis
- We do require a separate rental agreement, which we will send a link to e-sign after you book. There are no additional fees beyond those listed here.

Terrific views.
We particularly enjoyed the spectacular views. Beds were comfy. Found the decor a bit overdone. Lighting was hard to figure out (especially since we were directed to keep outside lighting at a minimum.) Master toilet didn't work (sent message to property manager). One bedroom on mid-level did not have a bathroom access (found that to be a little strange) and not represented in information about the house. Hot water not working in one of the kitchen sinks and took forever to get hot in the other one. Overall we had a great time.

Stunning Views!
We had a fabulous time at Blackrock Manor to celebrate a 90th birthday. The house works well for an elderly person as no steps are required to enter the house and the primary bedroom is located on the main level. The house is very nice, beautifully decorated, nicely equipped but the real show stopper are the views from the huge rear decks! Absolutely stunning!

Top of the Mountain!
Perfection! Absolutely spectacular from the moment we arrived! The welcoming Butterfly Blessings' sign and bear art sculpture had our grandchildren giggling with joy! Upon entering we were amazed by the lovely decor and oh the views! Truly an artist's touch with snowball chandeliers, lovely seating areas, restful bedrooms and a stocked kitchen! A Christmas tree of either colored lights, white lights and twinkling lights against the best views of Wintergreen had us all amazed! The bathroom sinks, each wonderfully different, added to the fun of this holiday haven! Immaculate, three great levels with a game room of foos ball/pool table/ basketball hoops and scrabble entertained all! We were ages 2-64 and the hot tub and fire pits as well as a staircase leading to a circular patio below was gorgeous! Every item you could imagine with tasteful elegance was given and has us waiting to return! The best of the best! The owners go above and beyond, excellent communication and their essence of loving hospitality shines through! Did I mention the sunrise, sunsets and stars? Perfection at the top of the mountain! Thank you!

Great for a family vacation
My family got together for a weekend getaway. This was the perfect house to stay at. The view from the balcony was amazing! Every morning I sat outside for a few minutes to soak it in. I would recommend doing your grocery shopping when you first arrive because there are not many restaurants in the area. We went on a few hikes and enjoyed the beautiful views!

Beautiful property and amazing view!
We rented this property to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday - our party included 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 8-14). The house had plenty of room for all of us (including a table that easily sat 10!). By far the best feature was the view! We were lucky to have perfect weather so we spent most of the long weekend sitting on the deck just admiring it. The owners were so helpful and responsive - they even left a birthday gift for my mom! I wish we could go back here every weekend!

Harmonious Sanctuary
WOW!!! This place is spectacular! It will make you feel like you stepped into another realm. We have traveled a lot and this is by far is the most amazing peaceful place to spend time with your family & get away fom it all. I wish I could upload pictures but even that would not do this incredible property & owners justice! While we went on some spectacular hikes you could also just hang out in the house and never be bored. How could you? The views from the whole house & every deck is simply breathtaking! We have never seen so many different colors in the sky that continuously change throughout the day. The house is a lot bigger than looks from the outside and the inside pictures. Every bedroom has a bathroom & jetted tub or steam shower except one! The decor is fabulous & we felt like it was Architectural Digest worthy! The owners were very sweet & accomodating. We had inquired about TV's in the bedroom before reserving & while there was not any in the bedrooms Robin made sure they were there for us upon our arrival! I mean seriously who does that!! For the life of me I can't figure out why owners don't put them in bedrooms of rentals but that's another story... The kitchen was well stocked which is nice because there is not really anywhere to get takout or go to dinner but why would you want to? We cooked some meals and brought them with us but we also cooked there too. There is a second bar/mini kitchen on the 2nd level. We didn't use the botton level much but to acess the outdoor jacuzzi. There is a pool table, basketball & 2 foosball tables down there. Maybe if there was a ping pong table we would've used the room. I guess the only cons were that it could've been a little cleaner overall. It seemed like a dog or pet recently stayed there as there was big pet fur balls randomly strewed about, a little dusty & the jetted tubs & bathrooms definitely could've used a deep clean as there was some pink mold in some areas. The bedding & pillows were ok but at this price point one would expect a higher quality. The hot tub needed a filter changed when we went to use it the first night so Robin made sure to have maintenance there first thing in the morning to do that without disturbing us. Robin and Kirk were a pleasure to deal with from prior to reserving until after departure. There is so much to do in the area and you could easily spend a week here although we only had 4 days. We will definitely be back next fall! YOU NEED TO STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!

The most beautiful home with the most stunning view
I can’t imagine a more perfect home, location, or property managers! I don’t know how it’s possible but the pictures don’t even do it justice. The only thing that tops the exquisite decor and top notch amenities (steam room, elevator, boulders from the mountain in the home) are the stunning panoramic vistas that are enjoyed through a wall of windows! I stayed there this weekend with my family for my wedding at Wintergreen Resort. We were able to all get ready on different floors while enjoying spectacular views, and we did our “first look” walking out to their circular overlook deck that is nestled amongst the rocks. It was such a unique and special place. Any friends or family who stopped by was amazed by this place. My friends are already asking when we can come back! To top it all off, the property managers were so friendly, responsive, and accommodating! This really is the best place on the mountain!

Stunning views! Wonderful property! Something for everybody
This property was PERFECT for our sister vacation. There was something for everyone and rooms for us all. Sisters, spouses, children of all ages were entertained, relaxed, adventurous. We used all of the decks (they each have their own vibe); lost track of each other in the many different entertainment spaces; sipped beer & wine while watching the sunset; gazed at the vast sky & stars at night. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit this amazing space. We'll be back next year.

This is one of those rentals that does not disappoint. The views alone are worth every penny. The facilities seem to be relatively new, so there are kinks to work out, but everything was clean and user friendly. Robin was great to work with and very responsive.

Gorgeous, stunning, extravagant friends weekend
I rented this beautiful house for a group of adult ladies celebrating an upcoming wedding. (Ok, it was a bachelorette weekend, technically, but the grown-up lady version!) It was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, stunning view. Immaculate decor. Extravagant features. We enjoyed everything. Coffee and breakfast on the top deck could not be beat. Yoga on the middle deck with an unbelievable view, got us happy and centered for our winery tour. Sunset, cocktails, dessert back on the top deck with an unbelievable sunset. (Reminder: make your dinner plans around the timing of sunset--you will WANT to be back on that deck on time!--we moved our reservation at the last minute, to make sure we got it just right.) Evening hot tub on the bottom deck. Sauna time. Peloton for those who wanted to sweat it out even more. The beautiful kitchen with full array of implements kept us very comfortable as we self-catered a few meals. Six adults each in our own comfortable beds. The whole weekend experience was like a taste of a luxury hotel experience, with all the amenities and comfort of a private home. The only thing I can't comment on is the game room (we wanted to have time for a few games but, alas, the weekend ended too soon...) and the TV/sitting areas--we did not use those at all. Why would you, with views like that?! The host, Robin, was super quick, very accommodating, very responsive. We had a wonderful experience. Can't wait to come back.

Most Amazing VRBO Ever
The house is absolutely beautiful. The views you see in the listing do it no justice (and they are pretty amazing). Tons of space to spread out, beautiful decoration, the house makes you feel like a rock star. We had a wonderful time hiking, visiting Devil's Backbone and many of the local wineries. I highly recommend this home. Oh and the hosts were very accommodating and highly responsive. My friends and I want to live in this house. :)

Great house with spectacular views!
The house was incredible! The owners were very quick with response, the house was fully stocked with everything we needed, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, plenty of towels. The house was very clean, excellent location, incredible view, plenty of new, clean furniture and decor. The only issue was that one of the bedrooms does not have a door, so this is really a 4 bedroom house. And one of the bathrooms did not have a functioning sink or a mirror, so this was also not really a completed bathroom. But other than that, it was spectacular. The sauna was amazing, the steam shower, jetted tubs, hot tub was hot and ready, the game tables were great, house was gorgeous. Can’t beat the location.

Gorgeous House! Breathtaking Views!
This house is stunningly beautiful! Robin and Kirk have done an outstanding job decorating and remodeling. All bedrooms have king beds and are beautifully decorated. The wood beams, lighting, furniture, etc is simply top shelf and amazing. Then there is the view which is the best on the mountain!! You can not put the view into words - except that it is breathtaking! House has 3 levels with a full length back porch on every level. Lower level has a new hot tub and we watched the sun set one evening from that. It was spectacular and the entire sky was pink and orange. Lower level also has 2 foosball tables and a pool table that we enjoyed. And I almost forgot to mention the sauna that is also down there! Every aspect of this house is gorgeous! Robin and Kirk are also extremely quick to respond to any questions - they are fabulous hosts! We will be back!
