Situated on 9 acres of private land, just an hour's drive east of Hobart, this secluded, architecturally designed pavilion-style home offers the perfect retreat for up to 10 guests.
Be immersed in nature, surrounded by Tasmania’s stunning coastline and a touch of luxury in this light-filled oasis with heated pool, large bush block, wood heating and direct access to trails leading to picturesque Spring Beach and the Orford township.
The Space:
Nestled amidst lush native bush and just moments from the stunning beaches of Tasmania's rugged east coast, this architecturally designed pavilion home offers the ultimate getaway for a group of up to 10 guests. Note: this house does not permit children under the age of 12.
Set on 9 acres of private land, you'll enjoy a peaceful retreat, surrounded by nature and completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Relax and unwind on the expansive decks, or take a dip in the fully fenced 14m heated pool. On cooler evenings, cosy up by the wood heater for a truly rejuvenating stay.
Note: the pool is ONLY available the summer months of 1 Dec - 31 Mar and will be locked from 1 Apr - 30 Nov.
The home features an open-plan design with soaring cathedral ceilings, abundant natural light, and stylish interiors that blend seamlessly with the breathtaking surroundings of Tasmanian bushland.
Multiple outdoor areas to relax adorn the property, all furnished with comfortable lounges and a dining set offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Featuring a modern open plan industrial kitchen and lounge area, the home is perfect for catering to a full house, with a fully equipped kitchen to cook up a storm, and a beautiful dining room surrounded by glass windows and ceiling. Alternatively, grab a pub meal in either Orford or nearby Triabunna. Quick eats include fish and chips (also in Triabunna) or a wood fired pizza from Scorchers.
The property offers five beautifully appointed bedrooms for guests to enjoy. The main house features three spacious bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen-sized bed, built-in robes, and calming decor for a peaceful night’s sleep. The fourth bedroom, also with a queen-sized bed, is located in a private pavilion above the garage, providing an added sense of seclusion and tranquility.
The master bedroom is an oasis separate from the main house, with its own deck, king-sized bed, ensuite, walk-in-robe, wood heater, and study - a well earned parent’s retreat.
On the upper level of the main house, you'll find a spacious rumpus room—perfect for unwinding, practicing yoga, or simply enjoying the tranquil views. This peaceful retreat offers a quiet zone to relax and recharge. The main house also features a large laundry, conveniently located near the generously sized bathroom for your ease and comfort.
The property has walking trails with direct access to incredible Spring Beach, Stapleton and Shelly Beach to swim, surf, rock hop and explore all day around Tassie’s beautiful, rugged east coast.
Fill your days with hiking, cycling, diving, swimming and water activities. Take a short ferry to Maria Island National Park for a day of stunning wildlife and history.
For a morning coffee out and about, head to Wattlebanks Coastal Café & Providore, and pick up groceries at the IGA Supermarket, both just a five-minute drive away.

Guests have full access and private use of the entire property.
The Neighborhood:
Orford is an easy and scenic one-hour drive from Hobart. The seaside village has lots of conveniences – IGA supermarket, cafes such as Wattlebanks and Elly’s, a pizzeria, a bottleshop and pubs.
Enjoy the 2km cliff-side walking track to Shelly Beach offering beautiful coastal views of Spring Bay, Mercury Passage and the Maria Island National Park.
Take a short ferry to Maria Island National Park from Triabunna, just a 12-minute drive from the home.
Abundant bird and wildlife, there are cycling tracks and hiking trails for all levels, and you may be lucky to see dolphins and whales.
Lots of historical experiences such as a visit to the old sandstone quarry and Convict Trail.
By car, explore areas of Swansea, Coles Bay and Freycinet Peninsula, and discover wineries, distilleries and home-grown produce from the East Coast regions.
Getting Around:
It is best to hire a car to travel to and around Orford. You can hire rental cars from Hobart Airport from Hertz, Thrifty, Avis, Budget, Europcar to name a few.
Other Things to Note:
The pool area is fully fenced but there is no diving allowed as the pool is only 1.5m deep the whole length.
