Amazing properties and flexibility!
This review is actually for Gator Manor, as we upgraded prior to our stay. The property managers were so flexible in helping us do so, and were so gracious in providing accommodations for me and my family. We were able to host a small gathering for family during my wedding weekend, and got so many compliments on the property. It is truly a beautiful house and highly recommend to those who need to host larger family gatherings.

Christina was excellent, and gave excellent customer service. Very disappointed to arrive at four and the house had not been clean, sheets changed, etc.. Cleaners came to clean the floors at 11 at night. Otherwise, the property was great and I would highly recommend.

It's another rental home. We had our family there. This place is worn down. We could not get in until the exact minute which was wrong because one of the AC units was off. When we got in the side of the house AC was indeed off. We kicked it on. The other side was warm. Then it started. The fridge did not work for water or ice. Really? In Florida? The towels smelled musty. The main bath had broken towel hangers. The faucet handle was loose. Overall, just the worn down feeling. We were not impressed. We all live in south Florida so are all accustomed to AC issues. But to have it off is simply wrong.

Overbearing Property Management
Great house, overbearing property management group. Property management showed up to the property 5 times during our quick 2 night stay to harass me and my guests about cars parked in the driveway (which was private mind you). Imagine not leaving the property until 2 cars (both of which weren’t interfering with literally anything) until these cars were moved? On a private driveway.. Nickel and Dime- Wouldn’t let me check in an hour or two early, was trying to charge me even though the house was ready and unoccupied. Originally said if the house was ready, they would allow us early access. Then, replying to my inquiry to check in early, they reverted back to an extra $50 charge. Also tried threatening to charge me for the “extra cars” aka my friends vehicles whom weren’t staying at the property that met us for the event we attended. Hosts claimed we were throwing a party, in reality the 6 guests played board games and drinking games to ourselves. Imagine feeling like you were being watched at your own vrbo? That’s what it constantly felt like receiving this barrage of texts and random visits over the 48 hour duration of our stay. Would not recommend if you want a relaxing and joyous experience with friends or family. At one point we even had a person walk straight into our property without being invited (we think this was a neighbor or someone from the property management group). That might catch a lot of guests off guard.

Gator paradise
We stayed at the gator palace and used our gator tags to hunt. Right by the ramp we went out and got two good size gators. House was great, host was great, very relaxing time.

The property was nice overall, however, the listing said it sleeps 12 people and when I contacted the owner to make sure that there was enough utensils, pots, pans, dished, cups, etc. they assured me that there was enough for the amount of people that the property could sleep. This in fact was not true. There was a total of 10 people 5 of which were actually staying at the house but there was not enough seating for dinner, not enough forks, not enough cups, not enough coffee mugs, etc. for all of us when we had our meals. We also could not have the multiple small appliances going at the same time without blowing a fuse. That was very inconvenient when cooking for 10 people.

We had family in town to celebrate our daughter’s Doctorate graduations. This house was a fantastic place for us all to gather. The spacious house and nice layout was perfect. We had multiple elderly relatives with us so the bedrooms all being in the first floor was perfect for us! It was conveniently located near the restaurant and the air boat rides…we took advantage of both.

Gator Palace Paradise
This gem was portrayed very accurately in the listing. The house was very spacious and clean. Our two grandsons loved sleeping in the loft away from the adults. The area was very quiet and peaceful with grocery store and shopping close by. We were there in March and my only concern was lowest temp for AC was 74, might be a bit warm in the summer, but ceiling fans in every room was very helpful. This home would comfortably sleep 12 people, loved it.

Perfect for large groups
We had a family gathering at this location to meet with family that lives in Oviedo. The location was perfect, had great scenery out the windows and was comfortable. There was enough room for everyone to find a space to relax if needed as well as gather together at the large dining table. We had a great experience. I only wish we were there long enough to try out the other amenities offered by Black Hammock.

Great stay at Gator Palace
We had a good stay at the Gator Palace. As others have said, make sure to to check sunsets at the Lazy Gator Bar. We ate at the Black Hammock Restaurant, and Anna's Polish Restaurant in Winter Park. The Black Hammock was good, but Anna's was excellent!

Paradise Retreat
Spacious house with plenty of room to visit with family in a home setting. It was nice having a big place for everyone to stay together while in town for my son's wedding. I appreciated having all the bedrooms on the first floor, several of which had their own bathroom. Having the Black Hammock Restaurant within walking distance was a treat! The children loved seeing the birds and alligators! The food was delicious too. Thank you for providing a great place to stay in Orlando

Great for families
In town for a family wedding and it was great that a bunch of us could stay together! This was a great space for that. Owner was very responsive when we had to ask for bedding for the sleeper sofa instead of it being there on arrival. A little minimalistic on things like trash bags (only 1extra provided, for example). Also, a shelf of some sort in the master bath shower would be helpful.

We had a nice time on our stay. It’s nice having the black hammock restaurant and bar within walking distance. The house is nice as all bedrooms are downstairs. The house could use some paint update and a deep cleaning but we were very happy with our stay.

being close to the gators was fun, could hear the airboats some, but at night it was very quiet, bring all your own supplies, a little odd not being able to lower the air conditioner temperature below 73 at night
